The family run mobile surf school Surf-Canaries in Playa del Inglés, in the south of Gran Canaria. The school is the daily meeting point, but the actually course takes place wherever the actual waves are.  The company motto is: Maximum Fun in Maximum Safety!

The school is run by Danny, Annika and their team and they welcome you to their head quarters and classroom situated at the foot of the sand dunes of Playa Del Ingles.

They also operate on a number of locations around the island so depending on the surf conditions  they will decide the choice of beach for that day. This gives you the luxury of always having excellent conditions for you to learn and allows you to discover some of the most beautiful and secret beaches on the island, some of which never get seen by tourists!

Speaking different languages

They have some of the island’s best instructors who speak various languages and are always enthusiastic to teach all levels of surfing experience and all ages. They are also reknowned for their fantastic Kids Summer Camp.

Really nice activity to do! You will not regret it and it is a lot of fun. Kids and adults alike. The instructors are very friendly and helpfull. The have good materials and you get free bottle of water and fruit to eat in between the surfing. I came back a day later and rented a board to practice a bit more on my own. In the end we kinda met up and they kept an eye me, so that was really cool and friendly.

Best surf school I've had by far. Very professional and skilled instructors, extremely chill and give you all the time, space and hype you need. They make awesome photos and analysis videos to help you progress your surfing. Would definitely recommend going here ❤️‍🔥🤙

We called Danny on Tuesday and were able to join the beginners course directly on Wednesday. We had never had anything to do with surfing before but with the good preparation and help from the friendly Team we ended up standing on our boards and it was really fun! Also the price is absolutely fair. If we can, we will be happy to come back and continue practicing. Thank you very much!

All of the workers were really nice and friendly!The location of the shop is perfect, because you can rent the board and wetsuit and just walk to the beach i 5min. There is no need for a car, which was perfect for us because we didn't have a car.We also went to one lesson, which included both good theory but also a lot of time to practice in the water. The pictures that were included in the price of the lesson were really good!We recommend Surf Canaries to everybody!!

Totally recommended!!I didn't have any experience with surf before. Each of us were able to stand up on the board since the first day.All the instructors and staff were really nice and super attentive to everybody. Special thanks to Jordan and Fran!!I can recommend you to take 5-days course if you really want to get to basic.For sure I'm gonna come back at least for rent a equipment.

We had a great time! As total beginners 2 friends and me took the 3 day surf lessons. We never thought that you can start so easy. The whole Crew did a great job teaching us. On the second day they filmed us and showed us things to improve on the videos. On the second and third day we went to a beach ca. 30 minutes away. They drove us there with their vans without a problem. Because of the small groups you get to know the other people out of the group. After the lessons we went with some of the other surf students into the City and took a drink. So it's also a good oportunity to meet new people. Surf Canaries got us all into surfing and the next holidays will always include surfing - thanks to the whole team!

Our 14 years old son took a two days surfing course with Surf Canaries in August 2022. We were very satisfied with the course, the instructors were very friendly, patiently and explained everything thoroughly. The price we paid for the course was very good. The photos and videos they shot were amazing. We highly recommend Surf Canaries! Good job, guys! 🌊🌊🌊

Our daughter wanted to learn to surf and so I contacted Surf Canaries in Playa del Inglés (Gran Canaria).This contact was via email and I got a really good clear explanation about the possibilities and the way of working.Once we arrived at our vacation destination I walked with my daughter to the surf school and we booked a 5-day training.From the moment we entered the surf school until the end of the 5 days everything was perfectly arranged.The instructors were clear, friendly and very helpful. They made sure you came out of the water with a big smile, not to mention they actually teach you how to surf well in a short amount of time! They also make "action" photos of each session which you can view for free on their Facebook page. Super service!For us it will definitely be Surf Canaries again next time we are on the island.
