The family run mobile surf school Surf-Canaries in Playa del Inglés, in the south of Gran Canaria. The school is the daily meeting point, but the actually course takes place wherever the actual waves are.  The company motto is: Maximum Fun in Maximum Safety!

The school is run by Danny, Annika and their team and they welcome you to their head quarters and classroom situated at the foot of the sand dunes of Playa Del Ingles.

Different surf locations on Gran Canaria

They also operate on a number of locations around the island so depending on the surf conditions  they will decide the choice of beach for that day. This gives you the luxury of always having excellent conditions for you to learn and allows you to discover some of the most beautiful and secret beaches on the island, some of which never get seen by tourists!

Speaking different languages

They have some of the island’s best instructors who speak various languages and are always enthusiastic to teach all levels of surfing experience and all ages. They are also reknowned for their fantastic Kids Summer Camp.

It was my first time on a surfboard.Surf Canaries gave me the support and tipps I needed to improve the tecnique on the first day, so I booked more Sessions.I realy enjoyed the surfing and can recommend surf canaries for everyone, who is looking for a perfect surfscool for beginners and I think also for people who want to improve their surfskills on canarian waves :)A big "thank you" to the surf canaries team for this unforgetable exerience in my Life.Wish you all the best and see you on the water 🙂

I absolutely loved it!! They were so sweet and professional💪🏼It was my first time surfing, and they were so good at guiding and helping! I cannot recommend this place enough!🏄🏼‍♀️And you even get free pics from the session🙌🏼

Danny and the team were just incredible and we had such a fantastic time as a group. Hiring was such an easy and simple process and Danny was so helpful going through all the different options they had available to help us make the most of our time in Gran Canaria. In August 2023 we booked the 1 day surfing course with Surf Canaries. It was our first time surfing ever and a thoroughly great experience. The course was well organized plus the surf instructors were very capable and friendly. They were able to create an ideal atmosphere to learn. I really like that they told us right in the beginning: „The best surfer is the one, who has the most fun!“ At the end of the day, everyone in our group had been able to ride a wave standing on the board.We highly recommend!Bonus points: The photos taken during the course were included in the price for the course - no extra costs.

A very nice experience, amazing instructions. The instructeurs where nice and helped out a lot. It is a very sporty activity so make sure you are ready for that. But even if you are not that sporty you'll still find it fun and you'll be amazed at what can be achieved in such a short time. I would highly recommend!

I had a surfing lesson in early July and the team at Surf Canaries were great! There was a good balance between some theory and then time to put it into practice in the sea, where the instructors were super enthusiastic 🤟 The photos were really well taken and freely available a few weeks after, which was a nice touch. I'd definitely go back if I'm ever in Maspalomas again

Each lesson was planned and structured impeccably, allowing us to learn the basic and advanced techniques of this fascinating sport step by step.Safety was an absolute priority for the surf school. Before entering the water, we received a detailed lesson on safety measures, including danger signals and rescue techniques. The instructors were always present and attentive, constantly monitoring the ocean conditions and ensuring that all students felt safe at all times.One thing I really appreciated was the patience of the instructor team.
