4 people, all inclusive, 9th floor (few advantages makes you feel special, view is really outstanding, 4th floor sundeck is awesome (soft double sunbeds, late sun).Free entry to spa (2 people, once, we didn't use)).Very good food, good alcohol available in all inclusive, fantastic helpful crew, great location, always available sunbeds (not sure if hotel was full. booking of sunbeds is forbidden, but everyone do it anyway:( ). All the rooms by the see (cool view from probably all of it, if you stay in the room). There was extra fee for safe (funny amount but still), I hope it is past already.Overall whatever you expext, you should not be disappointed :)Opinion sticked, and was unpunished for 2 years

Trying to get a drink was a challenge as they wouldn’t serve you at the bar. You had to be served by the waiting staff who appeared to ignore you constantly! The hotel itself is fantastic and you couldn’t wish for a better location

Amazing, love it here friendly very helpful staff cant do enough for you. Beautiful room overlooking the sea. Food is amazing a lovely variety and we arrived late they had cold plates waiting for us abd other late arrivals. There is nothing bad to say about the hotel. Only one down side the ensuite isnt very private it is frosted glass all round.

Beautiful luxury adults only hotel. It's nice not to have lots of noisy kids running about the swimming pool. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Food is excellent

We would like to reccomend this Hotel for people that looking for perfect beach holiday!1. The best location 🏖only few steps to clean, sandy beach. It's a quiet place away from the hasty and bustle of Maspalomas.Just next to it you find nice and cosy beach bars( Las Burras), restaurants, shops, bus stop, car rental etc. Along the cost you find a promenade perfect for jogging or a walk to Maspalomas ( 30 min). So for us 10 point for locations!2. Hotel facilities ♿️🏩🌺🛌Hotel it's surrounded by pretty palm trees and there are parrots chirping in the background 🦜There are two nice swimming pools with enough sun beds. They have as well spa and wellness with fair price (we reccomend sport massage from Mrs. Sandra). Everything with easy acces for people on wellchair! Nice. And Hotel is smoke and children free! Big plus.3. People/ Staff kindness. That what make the different! At the beggining we have a problem with the room witch was professional solved by Mr. Gareth. We felt taken care of 🩵This was an important point that influenced my opinion! All Staff are very nice and always ready to help ( special greetings for Laura and Margarita). The Management Staff are nice and proffesional, and they even remember our room number!

Stayed for one week with bed and breakfast. Hotel looks quite modern and is very clean. Rooms a good size and the shower was good. Bed was too hard for me (even after adding a topper). Staff were very friendly and attentive.Always able to find a sun lounger. Main pool is heated and the smaller pool is not. Bar service was good, as was the lunch we ordered. Breakfast is buffet, which I’m not a massive fan of but you can order an omelette which is what I did most days. There’s plenty of choice. Despite how busy it can be we always got a table outside. The beach near the hotel has sun loungers which cost €4.50 per bed per day. You can walk in to the sea quite far before it becomes deep. Can’t comment on the hotel entertainment as we went out each evening. There’s a shopping center across the street from the hotel. Plenty of bars and restaurants.

The hotel overall is good, not perfect. It's not near anything but a beach, you have to get transportation everywhere. There was an incident in which staff entered my room even with the "Do not disturb" sign hanging on the door handle.Often there were no spoons available to use during meals. We asked the waiter for one more spoon and he replied: "Es lo que tenemos" (that's what we have). Also, we started getting only one spoon per table of two persons. My wife used mine or I used hers.I was not satisfied with the food, it's way too industrial, too processed, the exception is the food that it's cooked in front of us, but that's all.And I would appreciate you not calling me "Marilyn", who I don't know, my name is Nuno. Thank you.

Really good hotel. Went in January and temp around 25 .. 30. Super rooms. Had mine on 2nd floor for a bit more privacy I'd say as for 3rd floor n above. Food was fine for a buffet. Large shopping centre behind so restaurants.. SPAR etc for food. Easy paths to different areas and the dunes about 1 HR away on foot with lots of places to stop n rest. 25 mins from airport. Super hotel for me and wife. .. oh yeah and the best positioned hotel for the most beautiful sandy beach in the area.

Many parts of the hotel are not renovated and look very tired. The worst thing is the constant noise that can be heard from some of the rooms. From our room we could hear the delivery vehicles dropping off supplies for the hotel starting at 5.30am. The entertainment music is also very annoying and can be heard inside the rooms despite the A/C being on. Buffet food is discouraging at most. The hotel could improve simply by controlling the noise level and allow their guests to relax. Not everyone enjoys loud music inside their room every single night

Unable to sleep in my hotel room because of the loud music being broadcast every night. The hotel thinks it needs to "entertain" their guests by broadcasting loud music that can be head in each room even with the window closed. The music is so loud that even those guests that are watching the show stay away from the loudspeakers. I was able to measure 53db inside my room. In addition to this, I did not enjoy having to watch my husband sitting on the toilet while I was in bed. Glass walls are ok for an office but not for a bathroom. The lack of privacy is unprecedented. Never again.

Having a great stay here. All the staff are excellent.Food is excellent, plenty of choice. The beds are comfortable but they are 2 singles pushed together. If I could change anything it would be to have a double bed.Rennie who does the entertainments is great he puts in 110%

Nice room with a great view, lovely beach and pool. The best part was how good it was for a coeliac: chef Silvio took us through which options were gluten/contaminant free on the hot and cold buffet-style arrangement. They even made us a gluten free pizza on Italian night. Rosita was always so smiley and welcoming, providing excellent service. Lovely people and a lovely trip!

Run down. Minibar not cold. Refrigerators do not work even after replacement. Aircondition did not work mostly. Mains power outlets 50% not working. No repais available. Good food and friendly staff but hotel needs renovation. Not 4 Stars anymore. 2 Stars only!

RUINED ANNIVERSARY. Don't be fooled by reviews from people with no travel standards and by the generic responses promising improvement that will probably follow this review. It's not a 4-star experience, it's a total rip off! Do your research thoroughly before choosing where to stay.Food quality was a total disaster. We ended up dining elsewhere for most of our stay.Service and comfort were equally frustrating. Unprofessional staff, a noise-filled morning pool chlorination process made relaxation impossible. Communication barriers led to orders consistently being botched, and the bathroom layout in our "premium" room was nothing short of absurd.Do not be misled by Mrs. K***, the hotel manager, generic responses promising improvement. We addressed all issues on the site - her responses to our concerns on the site were of amateur hospitality level! She never took accountability for any of the issues and was full of childish excuses. The proposed compensations felt like an insult. Free message for ruined vacation is a joke.

Just returned from this holiday and can't say enough good things about this hotel, and in particular the staff. Everyone was on form, friendly, helpful where necessary and happy to help with anything we asked about. Our room was one of the split level ones on the 8th floor, and the view was fantastic, looking out and up the beach, taking in the the ocean. Only fault with the room was the upstairs shower did not seal when the door closed, and so there was some drying to do when this was used. Not in any way a deal breaker.A huge positive for us was that this hotel at this time was child free. No screaming, no crying, no kids running around the pool - if you're after somewhere to actually relax, this is the place for you.Food was excellent - we were all inclusive, and ate here pretty much all the time - there were different themes every night and enough of a choice that if there was some options you really didn't like, you wouldn't go hungry. Breakfast and lunch were likewise a good spread. Go nuts, have as much dessert as you like and then work it if off in one of the two pools, or take the 1 min walk (if that) down to the beach. The room air conditioning was fine, the balcony to the room had a couple of chairs and recliners on it, with room to make use of them and the rooms seemed to be constantly cleaned throughout the day - you will not run short of towels or toilet paper.Honestly can't say enough good things about this hotel - I will add, that we arrived at around 2140 on the first day/night and when we showed up at reception the man behind the counter gave us our All-Inclusive wrist tags, set our cases aside for us and ushered us down the restaurant to make sure we got something to eat before it shut at 10pm. And that food was obviously freshly made - I had some pizza and bits'n'pieces, and the pizza base was still soft, not hard baked from being out too long. This was an early indication to me that Don Gregory was going to be a good stay. Thanks to TUI for a stress-free process, from UK departure to arrival back home and a huge thanks to the staff of the Don Gregory. No hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Booked a weeks holiday here on a half board basis. Including Breakfast and Dinner. You’d think that this included Drinks at meal times, WRONG! You have the privilege of paying €5 for just a small glass of ice with a little bit of Pepsi in it and getting slapped with a €100+ bill upon checkout. (Checked the website that the holiday was booked on and there was nothing explaining that drinks at meal times were not included) you’d think paying nearly £900 pp for the week they’d at least be accommodating with a singular drink at meal times. The meals on the evening are edible, that’s if you can find something to take your fancy as the meals are very sparse and not much ‘hot food’ options. On the other hand the staff have been amazing and so attentive to our needs and requests, plenty of activities during the day with a brilliant man on entertainment. But unfortunately because of the first part of my review I will not be returning here again and I’d advise you to look elsewhere also.

We have just come home from spending a weeks holiday at the Hotel Don Gregory. After reading some of the negative reviews about this hotel, we were a little worried what it was going to be like.We had a lovely week.We found all the staff very friendly, polite and helpful. Our room was very clean, as was the rest of the hotel. The cleaning staff were always cleaning .The food was excellent, something for everyone. The pool area was again very clean.I was very impressed with how the towels on the sun beds issue was dealt with....some people must get up at 4 am to reserve a bed ! If you're not on your bed for more than an hour, your towels are removed..a great idea! Being so close to the beach was great, if you were near the pool you could still see and hear the beach. We had one little issue with a rude lady over our son putting his umbrella up in the strong lunch time sun. Claiming it was blocking her sun! which was untrue, as It made no difference to her at all. She was clearly just a very RUDE, German lady, looking for an argument with a clear lack of manners, who could do with learning how to behave .This is no reflection on the hotel all. There are rude people at every hotel, you just have to deal with them .Thank you to all the staff at the hotel, you are doing a great job .

Together with my wife we spent in hotel Don Gregory an amzing 11 days. It was absolutely fantastic time! We had a stunning view over the ocean from our room on the 6th floor. The food was delicious and different everyday. Everyone who loves seafood will be pleased ! Very fresh shrimps, octopus, clams and any kind of fish. We are very grateful to the whole staff of the hotel, everyone was very kind, helpful and smilling from morning until evening. Especially we would like to say thank you to Celsio and Alexander, two wonderful guys! For my wife the best part of the day was aquagym with Rene, special thanks to him 🙂 The time spent in hotel Don Gregory was one of the best and we hope to come back here someday, maybe soon...we recommend this place to everybody!!! Greetings from Poland :))

Had a 4 Night stay at the hotel. Was on a Half Board package.Friendly check in lady, who explained everything about the hotel.Very nice room (only downside, the air conditioning was not cold enough. Maintenance even came and took a look but said everything was working fine)Breakfast and dinner in the main restaurant was excellent. Huge variety of dishes including dessert and very friendly and efficient service all the time.It was my wife's birthday on one of the days and the hotel remembered even though we hadn't mentioned it.Had a massage at the Spa and the lady was brilliant -one of the best I've ever had.Excellent all round experience and would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel.Thank you for a lovely stay.

This was a 2 week family holiday and I can't find one single bad thing about this stay. The food was good, the location is great, not far from bars and restaurants, not that you'd need anything as the hotel has everything you might need.I must mention the staff that made our stay even better.A big thank you to: Gerson, Ricardo, Sheila, Camila, Laura, Antonio, and a very special thanks to Celso.Without them, this stay wouldn't be the same.We will definitely stay here again and hope to see them all soon.(Barbara, Toby, Stacey and Vania)

Terrible stay! Rooms disgusting and we even had to move rooms, due to we got city view even though we paid for sea view. Staff in bar and restaurants are horrible, rude and dont know anything about service. They got every order wrong 7 days in a row, and they dont speak a single word of english. The hotel is only for German guests, not for anyone else. Impossible to have pleasent stay here. Avoid this hotel!

Don Gregory by Dunas. I don’t know what to suggest for other people. Question is if we would like to go back? NO!I must say receptionists was rude and not interested to help the client. At the hotel we arrived in dinner time. Unfortunately we were unable to enter cause we were stopped by someone who works there saying that my husband can’t enter because he’s wearing shorts. I was in shock cause nowhere was this information. And we didn’t have trousers cause is hot. And we had only holiday wear. So they refused to let us in and as option they offered trousers. But those trousers was not new all bubbly inside and probably not washed after someone was wearing them. So I became furious how they dare to offer something like that second hand trousers for 4star hotel?! Discussing. Second when we was going from the restaurant to reception, cause we being told that they have trousers, receptionist was giggling between each other they knew why we are coming. Any way. After refusing use second hand trousers for dinner there was no other option suggested for us! And we have package breakfasts/dinner included. So we decided to go in to nearby restaurant. So unprofessional so not interested how to solve the problem. Could be offered dinner in the room. Or as exception for this evening only. By the was ladies was wearing shorts! Simple sporty shorts! So why this hotel DISCRIMINATES gender!!! Later in elevator I saw the sign ladies wearing skirts or dresses, man wears trousers for dinner. Well as we see there was exemptions and discrimination in this hotel. So this is our experience as first evening in the hotel. Imagine after that we needed to stay another 9. We was feeling super stressed out and all holiday vibe was destroyed!!!Hotel it self was ok. Food was good. But we are couple age 40 and in hotel mostly was pensioners 60+ and I saw maybe 3-4 younger couples but that’s it. No music on the pool side. Also evening entertainment was super boring and poor. Bingo almost every night well probably because of the age in hotel. So we felt very bored.Don Gregory by Dunas presents as 4 star hotel but no slippers no robes also for safe you need to pay. Definitely not a 4star hotel service. Same for water during dinner time. You need to pay. For water! Poor level.Holiday is like your second home. Cause you spend so much time to choose the right place and being disappointed and offended by 2 unprofessional receptionists and the discrimination with clothes. Is not acceptable!!! Also all staff was talking to us in German!!! Cause 90% of the hotel guests were Germans. We not Germans!!! How unprofessional!!!Do we go back to this person? No! Does staff needs to improve communication skills? Yes! Did we felt like we on holiday? First couple of days we were sad because of the situation on first night. But later we switched don’t care attitude. Will we go back? Definitely NO! No discrimination in our life!!!1star for room1star for foodRest starts not deserved!

Absolute top class for cleanliness, efficiency, friendliness, food and top class service in the restaurant. Right on the beach. This hotel is run very well indeed. One thing my husband did not like is not being able to wear smart shorts for dinner in the evening, but apart from that no complaints. Highly recommended.

The best Hotel in Gran Canaria!Everything was perfect during my stay in this hotel. I really liked the rooms and the sea view you can enjoy from your balcony. The location is also very nice because it is situated directly at the beautiful beach "playa de las burras".The food was amazing as well. Breakfast, lunch and dinner always offered a wide range of different food options and the daily variiating themes of the dinner were also a nice addition. After dinner you could always enjoy a good cocktail at one of the hotel bars. The hotel is clean and also very new renovated so that everything looks nice and confortable. The friendliness of the hotel staff is unique. Everyone is always so kind and does everything to make your holiday carefree. From the cleaning staff to the waitress, the reception team and also the hotel manager everyone is so nice. You can really see that they enjoy working in that hotel. All in all it was a perfect stay and we are definitely coming back again.

Met every need for a relaxing,' re charge the batteries' holiday. We had a lovely room (number 905) it was quiet as requested, it didn't have sun in the afternoon but that cooled the room so it was ideal. The Hotel is lovely and extremely clean. The staff work very hard and are a credit to the management. Hamilton in the bar was a joy to watch him at work, great professionalism and knowledge. Renny the animation guy is very good, and its only him! he is very hard working. i had never wanted to do aqua aerobics but I tried it and he made it fun and enjoyable. I only have one tiny comment, some of the plates need to be warmed, we found some of the food was cold very quickly, but that is the only critique. We met some lovely people, who said they never return to the same hotel but said they would come back again. We usually visit the Suite Princess Hotel in Taurito on the south side, we have been there many times for what we call a 'fly and flop' break. We found this hotel to be even better. We will return next year for sure.

This Hotel is definately not 4 star. Stayed for Christmas andFood was good, the New Year Gala Dinner was outstanding. Unfortunatley due to a complete lack of any information we were not informed we had to reserve a table for the entertainment. As we we re all inclusive I cannot understand why we needed to. My friend and I were never offered any champagne or the traditional grapes . We only found out about reserving a table at the lunchtime of New Years Eve from another guest. When I tried to reserve a table I was told a definite NO! We were too late to book. Not good customer service at all. Being all inclusive I feel we had already paid for this and should have been able to join the after dinner entertainment.Occupancy is 99% German and its quite obvious any other nationalities are left out. Pool opens at 9am, towels on beds at 8am!!!!!.Should not be allowed The staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. although Some of the reception staff were very unhelpful. Rooms large but in need of a little TLC . Great position on the beach.

We have just returned home after our first visit to Don Gregory by Dunas. We spent Christmas and New Year there and enjoyed a wonderful festive season. The hotel occupies a fabulous location on the beach and the staff ensured that all the guests had a wonderful holiday. Bedrooms were clean and food was extremely good. We must give special mention and thanks to Rene for organising fun and entertainment every day. We must also thank Monica, Felix, Sheila, Yesenia and Alexander for ensuring that we had a great holiday and that any concerns we raised were immediately addressed .We'll be back!!

Pros.Great hotel. Friendly staff. Good food. Good location. Clean.ConsNo private bathroom!! Who doesn’t want privacy sometimes!? Bathroom in the bedroom. Crazy.Flies all over the food. There are no fly lamps/traps in dining area. They need this.Gets Smokey in buffet as food is being cooked but not good enough extraction. So your clothes can smell of food.Everybody reserves sun beds by 8am. If you want a bed you better get up by 7am and put your stuff all over a bed. Shame. But I also don’t know how they can fix the problem.Evening entertainment could be worked on a bit. The artists are good but the stage is bare.

We have just returned from a week at the Don Gregory, San Augustin. The hotel, service and team were excellent. The hotel is in a quiet location, just a minute from the beach. Rooms are spacious and well equipped with lovely views. The hotel is well maintained and very clean. What makes it extra special is the team, they are so friendly and helpful, going the "extra mile". I was on a special diet, lactose free, gluten free with extra tweaks - the Customer Services Mgr. Mrs Kurtz, Head Chef Ayoze, Restaurant Team, Felix, Rosita and Teresa could not have done more for me. It made our first trip abroad for a while such a happy one, with special meals cooked for us every night; it really was a treat. Thank you so much for a wonderful visit we hope to be back next year. Thank you so much! It was a really pleasant stay at the hotel - a vacation I will never forget. The staff was very kind and observant. The room was tidy and comfortable. Basically there was nothing to complain about except for the food - it was okay; it wasn't bad but not special either. But in conclusion I can really recommend the hotel!

The hotel has a very modern look and the staff was always very friendly. The food was always delicious and had a broad variety of different options during our stay.Only thing that bothered us was that the air condition had a really disgusting smell to it. Also there was water leaking from the room above us into our shower. This caused ugly water spots on the ceiling and black mold build up pretty quickly during our stay. We didn't got another room offered at the reception as we told them multiple times that there was black mold building up...

Very good hotel, nice and helpful staff, very good food, the staff cares about the cleanliness of the rooms, a great view from the balcony of the beach and the ocean, close access to the beach and the shopping center, where you have supermarkets, drink bars, restaurants, car rentals and bus stop. If you like silence, I recommend it! This hotel is only for adults (over 16s). Enjoy!

We spent a great week here in March. Lovely food, and immaculate hotel. Great location right on top of a sandy beach. Brilliant room with plenty of space and great looking down the beach. Well suited entertainments during the day - Giancarlo was excellent at gently involving people. Evening entertainment was of an unusually high quality. Overall excellent place to stay.

Don Gregory by Dunas was beautiful and the staff was very kind and helpful. Each evening we enjoyed a good singer/musician at the bar with drinks and great vibes.Unfortunately I‘ve forgotten my laptop in the hotel room when I took my flight. The staff took a lot of their free time to arrange the shipping, getting packages and securing my laptop in protective film. I‘m incredible thankful for this great service - even after our stay was over! It says a lot about their caring of customers.I can definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.Best regardsMichael

Pleasant south-facing outlook over the adjacent sandy beach and most rooms have a delightful sea view. There is limited space for sun loungers next to the modest-sized main pool, so some get up at 7am to reserve their space (typical behaviour of a certain nationality). By 8.30am there’s nary a one left. Renting sun beds on the beach for around €11 a pair is less stressful and enables one to enjoy the warm sea waters in a gently shelving shore. However, the wind can get up in the afternoons, causing something of a sand storm. The hotel staff are polite, friendly, and helpful. The hotel enforces good covid protection, requiring mask wearing indoors in public areas. The food is just about above average, in my view. Not bad as it varies each evening, but not the best I’ve enjoyed in other Canaries hotels. Early birds will enjoy dining on the outside terrace/balcony in the evening sun.An evening stroll for a mile or two along the promenade in front of the hotel - in either direction - is pleasant and safe. The hotel puts on evening entertainment but it’s of poor quality - one man/woman singing/playing- and there’s very limited outdoor seating.Fortunately, there are very few of the tacky stores and ‘English’ bars etc. common in other resorts. There’s a small shopping mall opposite the hotel. Not much else to do in San Agustin but a bus to Las Palmas old town takes 55 mins and runs every 20 minutes. On the whole, this is a good hotel for relaxation and I would probably come again.

4 people, all inclusive, 9th floor. In my opinion, it is better to take the cheapest room instead, the most expensive, because everything but room is the same.Very good food, good alcohol available in all inclusive, fantastic helpful crew, great location, always available sunbeds. People mostly 40+

Friendly staff, a big room but the food is missing some spices. On the other side, you do have plenty of choices. For the food I guess this is maybe due to the fact that most of people who are there are third age people, maybe that’s why they don’t put salt in their food.So in terms of quality, it’s definitely a good standard.Other than that I liked the place for its good positioning and the fact that you can really chill and rest there.I recommend the SPA, when you will be passing by Dunas, it's a must.

Short and Sweet. Don Gregory’s attention and services is over the top. Why? Humans execute services/kindness and DO care. Management encourages and maintains over top attitude for every guest staying one day or even much longer. Standard: Best care and service any human might provide. I really feel for team at Don Gregory; now stuck caring for guest (yours truly) maybe way too long. I have chosen to extend my stay at Don Gregory for months over and over; simply to enjoy and accept superior kindness and service (in ideal location). I have been afforded wonderful opportunity of Don Gregory (prior stays in over 200 countries) with great appreciation. I would indeed be very tired of same guest; but yet not even a hint of adjustment/reduction to superior standard Don Gregory extends to all guests (well done). Don Gregory’s future will be unlimited; choosing humans they entrust to provide personal/human care or service to each guest. I guess, maybe not so short. Sorry.

Good adults only hotel. Sitting right on the beach with beautiful views. Great service, good amenities, peaceful and relaxing. All rooms with see view. Great. Restaurant menu a little bit limited maybe because of the very few customers? During my stay I found watermelon for example to be prepared few days before - dry and looking old... Also staff a bit limited at peak times. Overall - good! Just a bit more Nd would be very good!

Very nice, clean, newly renovated hotel. All rooms (modern, clean with great design) are oriented to sea. Staff is very kind and nice. Food is delicious, every day there are new choices. Beach is just in front of hotel. Despite windy weather (in febuary) hotel is in lee so it is still confortable to sunbath at terrace. We enjoyed our stay and can totally reccoment it.

Very good hotel. The location is amazing and I think best in Maspalomas (that's the reason for quite high price I guess). Staff is very friendly. Also food is tasty and there is a good variety of meals, maybe if you're vegan, you can have some issues, but for vegetarians who eat seafood it's absolutely enough (they have fish for every dinner). Coffee for breakfast is always free, no matter if you have all inclusive or half board, but if you want tea/coffee for dinner and don't have all inclusive, but half board, you should pay, so maybe think about it before making reservation if you're a tea soul:). Don't have any advices about lunch, had breakfast and dinner only.

The Hotel is a beatiful place to stay. The location is clean and high-quality. It’s in front of the sea and have 2 swimming pools. I very like the stuff and the service. But the buffet is still the best part of a vacation and me and my girlfriend are vegetarian. Sometimes, not every day the meat and fish are mixed too often with delicious food we are prefer. Buns are packed in plastic and therefore only 4 stars.
