It takes a long time to get from any area to the villa site.The villas are a bit tired now and some of the roads here are very broken up.Not very luxury, just standard really.Very noisy from about 5:30 in the morning with lawnmowers and landscape tools, then the building works start.

Amazing view of swimming pool, mountain and the sea.Perfect for family vacation, facilities are very new and Morden, horse owner is extremely friendly and helpful

I booked directly with the hotel and time to respond to emails was not very responsive. Reception on arrival was good and we were very informed. The spa never responded to my wife's email before arrival.We requested a specific room for an additional fee which we didn’t get, were not told before arrival the room was not suitable for us, the one we chose had an adjoining room for large families. We were offered an alternative but for an additional charge.Our room was tired, carpet fraying up against one skirting, bathroom door handle came off and signs of general wear. We had booked a double bed but we got two singles pushed together. The room was very clean and cleaning staff were great.Over all dining experience was very good and serving staff polite and helpful.Sidecar restaurant was excellent.The S club, service was slow, i had to approach the bar many times to get drinks. We waited over 20 minutes from order to drink and i had to revisit the bar to check on progress after ordering. They shut the bar with the final 15 mins of play still to go of the masters on the final night, at a golf hotel, a specific hotel with two golf courses and its own pro shop and driving range!!!! needless to say the guests in the bar watching were lost for words. Why didn't the management not consider this in their planning.Golf course was plastic free with no bottled water but with water points in pro shop and on the course. on course water point was broken for the 5 days we were there. New course was only half open and looked as though some holes were still being worked on. they had taken turf away on the front of one fairway. old course was very nice and well looked after.What has prompted me to write this review is that i now cannot get a response from the hotel. i have emailed 6 times asking for help to locate my sons Nintendo switch case that he left in the room and I've had one response saying they will ask house keeping and nothing since, two week since we left.It is a hotel of two halves, some things are done very well, others very poorly and it is marketed as a premium hotel.

No complaints except the location being a bit out of the way just off the highway between two resorts but this is to be expected with a golf hotel/resort.

Hello,Overall "very good" hotel,we come back but....pls note following workpoints:1.Walkway: Wooden walkway 2 street " no lights"..break a leg.(8/11)2.Room:A bruch for the toilet would be welcome.3.Bar: pls clean tables(remove old napkins and clean tables) when serving drinks(6/11 around 09.30 p.m.)4.Restaurant,pls prepare tables before arrival of "late guests" so they are not sitting @ a table with food and no knife,fork,napkin or drinks(8/11 around 09 p.m.)There was enough staff but priority was not respected.You have our ***** star rating but pls detail....

I have just spent a week at this hotel and I was very impressed. The hotel was good, the food was good the pools were good, however, the entire staff we met we simply excellent and could not be more helpful.We did not play golf but that did not matter as for a week there was plenty to do. The shuttle bus worked very well and we took a trip to Morgan.For the more adventurous there are mountain cycle routes, which I tried out for running.

Perfect location for a week of rest and relaxation. The hotel is set on the hillside across various levels with lots of locations for families and also adult only areas. The rooms were lovely and quiet but we had opted for an upgrade but the rooms didn’t feel refurbed although they were lovely and clean. The staff were superb and no request was a problem. The food was good and there was plenty of choice. Would definitely recommend a visit to Sidecar restaurant. The shuttle bus to Maspalomas was ideal for a day trip and the hotel provided umbrellas, towels and mats for taking to the beach. The bus trip to Magon for the market was also worthwhile. The resort has a lovely vibe and is quietly calm and elegant. Would definitely recommend for a couples break or for young pre school families.

My god, what have you done with the New Course! Not only have you taken out the best holes, but also all the bunkers. Three par 3's in 9 holes, hmmm. No more water in the buggies but "fill up stations", no starters or marshalls on the course either. It is quite clear that the course is now "tailor made" to tourists who are beginners or moaned enough about the New Course in the past. Such a shame!The only good thing are the great staff in the pro shop, thank god they have not changed. Yet.

This is NOT a ROAD cycling friendly hotel. The hotel website claims to be cycling friendly with a dedicated room for bikes but this is not the case in our opinion. The cycle storage room is defunct and full of sofas and unused furniture. The main issue however is the fact that it is impossible to cycle on a road bike out of the hotel onto the wonderful roads of Gran Canaria. The only option that isn’t a rocky 1-2km track is onto the motorway where cycling is strictly forbidden. We booked this hotel on the basis of it being cycle friendly and feel that, at the very least, the website should state that access to road cycling is impossible without a car or using the shuttle bus to the beach (which doesn’t advertise the fact that it *might* take your bike and also doesn’t start until 10am which is later than we like to go out). It should also remove reference to the cycle storage room as it is no longer in use.Other than the cycle friendly issue though, the hotel is very nice with nice staff, great food and a nice atmosphere. If it wasn’t for the cycling issue, we would return.

Staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. They made our stay even more special than it already was. Good beds, nicely decorated balcony and a lot of facilities. Buffet is immense with fresh products, live cooking and nice seating arrangements. Old course is challenging but fun with great views and variety for both a single handicap player with a long drive (one of the holes is a true monster in terms of distance) and a beginner with a 20 handicap. We enjoyed walking the course - accepting the spicy uphill slopes .. especially holes 9 en 18 😅 The stories surrounding the new cource scared is a bit so decided to not take a chance on that part. Will be back!

Second time here, lovely hotel, rooms nice but need updating. Not as good as last year however, building work continues opposite the hotel. So constant drilling not great. Not overcrowded, lovely sunbathing areas nice and tranquil. Hotel is very remote, really nothing to do in walking distance. Hotel has a shuttle bus to and from Maspalomas. Hotel needs livening up, has lounge singers, literally sing you to sleep. Very bad English TV channels, never working. Told they are all working, this time, they do not, very hit and miss. Lovely hotel great food, but can see the areas where hotel cutting back, definitely not as good as last year. Too remote also. Great if you come for golfing, but very little else to do otherwise. For these reasons probably won’t come back here.

It was disappointing that they put two teenagers next to us for last couple of days as they would be shouting and banging at 2am occasionally but only for two days so not end of workd

I played the Old course, which turned out to be a very nice, hilly course, generally in condition, except many of the tee boxes which are often quite small and marked.It's a bit of a trek to get from the pro shop to the 1st tee and I'm not keen on gps buggies with speed and zone limitations that kick in unexpectedly, but the on-board interactive course layout map is useful for your club choices and knowing your distance from the hole. There are some very nice par 3 holes with the greens far below the tee box which are quite challenging, such as the one in my photo.The speed of play was an issue when I went with alot of hold-ups, so don't expect to be able to whizz around.If you're looking for a good deal on the green fee, they have an early bird offer if you tee off before 8:30, where I paid something like 45€ for 18 holes + 20€ for a buggy, which is hard to beat whilst on holidays.

Good court. Some challenging fairways for all players. If you have an early start (8.30-9.00) the sun will be low and in front of you at the first 2 holes.

Very nice golf course in good condition. Perfect greens! The driving range isnt really close to the pro shop, so make sure to get to the club in time, if you want to practice before your round. Very kind and helpful staff!

Wonderful experience. Breakfast is great. Resort is located in a calm area, our stay for very relaxing. View over the dessert is breathtaking.

Salobre gold resort is set away from the coast on a purpose build holiday resort. Its a short car journey away from Anfi where I stay when visiting gran canaria.The course is a must for those who value a great course. Lots of great holes where par is a sign of good golf. From the opening par 4 on both front and back nine you know that you need to get a good drive away to have a chance of a birdie. The second shot in to almost every hole needs to consider where the pin is placed.However my favourite holes are the par 3s which vary in length from just over a 100 yards to almost 200 yards. A well struck iron in to all will leave you with some undulating putts for par.I've played the course at least 20 times and have never been disappointed with quality of the course the speed of play or the reward of going there. (Booking direct can save a lot of €s)

Interesting layout with a lot of variation between wide and narrow, straight and dogleg, and lots of elevation changes. Course is rather short but not too easy. Condition is very good but not as perfect as Lopesan Meloneras which was my absolute favourite in the area. Driving range looks a bit neglected, with gooey and uneven mats.

Beautiful, tranquil place. Super villa overlooking golf course. Supermarket, club bar in easy walking distance. Hire an electric bike which is great fun. Huge, fantastic hotel with sunset terrace which you get the best sunset ever, and infinity pool also on site. Hotel has many amenities and you can get a bus or taxi from here to Menores or other towns. Great place

In the resort everything worked well, service attitude outstanding and food very good. Special thank's to golf pro Ruben and his Tracman analysis. I played my Best rounds ever In Salobre. 100% worth of money 👍.
