We booked through TUI while on our holiday to Gran Canaria. We booked and my daughter (7) had an amazing time. I was a bit concerned before attending for my daughter\u2019s safety as we were both absolute beginners. I need not have worried the staff were very professional and had all the safety points covered and tailored each horse to each persons ability and age. Everyone there was so lovely and I cannot recommend this place enough to anyone who is visiting Gran Canaria. If you\u2019re considering this experience do it! If you\u2019re not considering it, do, as it is magical. The instructor was utterly brilliant, really kind and knowledgeable and made sure we went at a nice steady pace (novice here). Horses were just amazing, very gentle over the rocky parts, not once did they fall or get startled, they know the routes very well and were fun and cheeky.The views spoke for themselves but the local knowledge from the instructor was really interesting which made the experience just great. The minibus driver picked us up outside our hotel and took us to the riding centre,  where suitable horses were picked for us.  We had a great ride through the area and stopped for photos at the top. The guides even took photos for us on our photos,  so we have a personalised momento of our trip. We were dropped back off at our hotel in the mini bus by Manuel,  who chatted to us all the way. I would happily go again, too. We went on a 2 hour morning trip, so before it got too hot. Picked up and dropped off outside our hotel by a very generous driver who bought us a drink on the way. Arrived at the ranch with time to spare. After a quick safety induction spoken in perfect English we was assigned horses based on our experience. Me and the wife are complete novices and my wife was really nervous at first but the team was quick to reassure that everything would be fine, and it was. We opted for the sunset ride and the views and general vibe was awesome. The horses are very well looked after and I was surprised at how well behaved they all was, needing little guidance if none at all. But i will say that some of the horse were VARY skinny, but it was like half half of what horses looked good and those that were skinny, and at first i wanted to gallop until i got my horse, and every horse were very sweet and so so beginner safe, but my horse was way to skinny to go galloping for in my opinion. But still very good and the tack weren\u2019t too tight or anything. But they were very nice and service minded. I had a horse called Pepsi. They were also very helpful when I needed some boots and a helmet &#x1f970;The transfer was hassle-free and the driver was nice, the transfer experience was enjoyable!One thing I\u2019ll say is that some horses like to roll in the sand, we get warned beforehand but I think anyone who is scared of horses shouldn\u2019t go here because of this - my horse rolled in the sand and I fell off, I\u2019m a novice rider but it definitely caught me off guard and scared me a little. I was also a little bit on edge the whole ride when we were in sand especially when we were taking pictures and the horse got bored. The horses were really well cared and my horse Kabul was just perfect for me. They assign you horses based on your level of experience, so I enjoyed having one with a bit more spark than just a lazy trail horse. Great experience for a complete novice, 1- hour is plenty enough for a first time rider who just wanted to get some photos.  I reckon two hours can get really uncomfortable in the saddle, i was done after about 10min of riding tbh &#x1f602;. great service and transportation to and from the venue, all around a good day out. &#x1f44d;. Had a chance to trot a bit and try gallop as well( short distance) as the group was split into levels where it was possible. Maybe one thing that is worth to mentioned that the whole arrangement took more time since we were quite big group - had to wait some people and then prep for the departure took time. So trust your horse!!After asking our Tui rep who would only offer the time they had (only one option), we whatsapped ourselves and they told us what times were available and arranged collection from our hotel and back again. The guides were knowledgeable, friendly and all round fantastic. They choose a horse for your height and experience, give you all the instructions you need and then you're off!! Would highly recommend, definitely worth it. It was 59\u20ac each, including collection from and to accommodation and 2 hour trek.Thanks for a great experience! In fluent English they asked about everyones experience, gave some (safety-)information about the trip and then assigned everyone a fitting horse.They did a great job at matching the right horse with the right rider. Less experienced riders get an extremely calm horse, while the ones with a more experience get one with a bit more character. But in any case, even the last ones were kind and gentle horses. In the end everyone got the perfect horse for this trip.The trip itself guides you through rocky terrain with fantastic views. So we went on a slow walkingpace most of the time. Don't expect a wild ride here, trotting or galloping in this terrain is a no-go. But on a flat road we trotted for a short distance and galloping was possible in a certain (sandy) area. You get great panoramas of the inland hills and walk in between cactae on small roads that lead up and down. But never the road felt dangerous or unsafe, and the horses know the terrain well.Midway, there was space for a short break where everyone was offered water and the possibility to get a picture taken with their own phone.Overall, I really enjoyed this calm, relaxed trip. Thanks to the professional supervision from Laura (and the other girl which name I forgot), the fitting horses and the great scenery I had a great fornoon. They matched the horses perfectly with the riders. They also split the group in who can and who can't ride based on experience. We arrived at the venue early as we've previously ridden before in Cyprus and the uk.People arrived late, so we became late to start.After mounting the horses my daughter was abit upset after initially being excited.I understand the staff were busy but rushed trying to carry on with the experience due yo our group being so large.When we were exiting the arena 2 of the horses played up. Titanic carried ok walking backwards and walked into the wall knocking another horse w, whilst pink flower went to bite another horse.This camototion resulted in my daughter becoming really upset. They took us off the horses said they had to go as they were running late and left us with a poor older who spoke no English. As the 2 ladies who could speak very good English went on the excursion.I asked for a taxi the gentleman didn't understand so took us to the next town and left us.This was abit scary. Never theless I contact this company, requesting if we could back and try when they were less busy. I had no response and they claim to have given me options. Which they didn't but had given refunds I felt I would have the same experience.  Clearly not.Initially as they had some bad reviews they seemed to handle them well. Clearly, not this time. The whole experience from booking to being picked up at my hotel and then an easy drive to the stables was amazing. The staff and escorts were lovely and friendly. The horses were well looked after and wonderfully presented. There was a basic instruction talk at the beginning which was good as there were a lot of beginners with no experience. I was lucky enough to enjoy a gallop and overall it was a wonderful experience. We did a private excursion in the hills. The paths were quite uneven and stony so we were mostly walking, however there were a few places for a trot and a canter.
