<\/div>Our favourite restaurant in the world. We\u2019ve eaten at Gordon Ramsey\u2019s, Jamie Oliver\u2019s, Marco Pierre White\u2019s restaurant yet we prefer Don Quijote. The food is such good quality everything is so fresh - the king prawns are delicious. The staff are so welcoming and efficient and always make our family feel special. Our son is very fussy with food and rarely tries new things but he really enjoys the food here. We love the new lunch time menu too! We\u2019ve been visiting Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria for many years and sadly most restaurants offer the same mediocre menus with underwhelming food - if you want really good premium quality food please visit Tamara and her team at Restaurante Don Quijote.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>We came to this amazing restaurant three times in our week at Gran Canaria. It was that good! The food was stunning and the atmosphere great. It had a real family feel and an Olympic sailing connection with the family. The house wine was delicious and everything we had so tasty. For special mention were the sizzling prawns, the duck and the pear and pork rissoles. Highly recommend booking in advance as a very popular restaurant with a lot of regulars.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>Best meal of my trip. So sad I couldn\u2019t finish it. Too much food for me. Did take it back to my hotel though. The steak was amazing along with the potatoes. The croquettes were too die for but skip the spicy sauce in corner - too hot! Honestly you didn\u2019t need the mustard either - they were delicious just by themselves. The wait staff and servers were so kind and the email communication to book the reservation was great. They even let me dine early as I had a work call that evening. Can\u2019t say enough positive comments about this place. Go! One note it isn\u2019t water or beach facing but very short walk to marina and other beach activities. Love this !! Wine was nice too. <\/div>A lovely restaurant less than a 5 minute walk from the western side of Playa de Puerto Rico. It was my first time using an iPad menu and I was pleasantly surprised with it. I had the sausages to start, the sauce with them was amazing and the freshly cooked bread roll was a great surprise addition. I had the home-made meatballs and rice for the main dish, the meatballs were tender and cooked to perfection. I also had a barraquito coffee and that was great as well. It was superb value as they offer the 2 courses for \u20ac13:50 between 1pm and 4pm. It was quiet when I visited so if you're after delicious food at a very reasonable price in a relaxed atmosphere this is the place to go. The service was great as well. I will definitely be returning again. Thank you!<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>I was extremely impressed by Don Quijote! Everything was absolutely outstanding. Each dish was great, and the service was amazing, too. We particularly enjoyed the chorizo in cider. <\/div>Went there to dine with my wife today. As we got there, the place seemed empty. But after a few minutes a nice lady came and asked if we had a reservation. As we didn't, she quickly checked that if there a place for us. And there was, but only outside. That was no problem at all.We took bread with pat\u00e9s of the day, beef fillet Don Quijote, beef fillet Puerto Rico, Canarian potatoes to share and as a dessert the white chocolate mousse with Baileys and something called Banana flute with something something and papaya jam (there was ice cream also). I also took Barraquito \ud83d\ude09 And I have to say that all of our food was phenomenal! Best food I've had on this island so far.Also found out that they have a tasting menu for two people, but it needs reservation at least one day before. <\/div>We have been coming here for over 20 years. Passed down from father to daughter the restaurant maintains its high standards of freshly cooked Canarian cuisine with a touch of Italian infuence. You won't find a burger option here and no bad thing either. The a la carte menu available during the day and evening has options to suit everyone's taste, but if you are not sure try the incredible 'economical menu' available between 13.00 and 17.00 for 12 euros. This includes some hot bread, pate and first and main course for little more or the same as a burger and chips elsewhere. One of our favourite restaurants not just in Gran Canaria, but anywhere.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>We were recommended to Don Quijote and are really glad we went. We indulged ourselves and had the Between Two sharing menu, not cheap but we are glad we did it. They warned us that the meal would take about 3 hours, and they were right. Seven courses! but the courses were of a sensible size (more on that later) and with good gaps so that you could cope. Highlights for us were the trio of tartars to start and the steak, but there was nothing that wasn't very good. Really interesting flavours and beautiful presentation. We took their advice on wine with the food, and what they offered was excellent, in sensible amounts (they were not pushing it) and not expensive. Course 6 was the steak, loved it, but then we made our mistake, and opted for the desert rather than the cheese to finish. It was enormous!, or seemed so after what had come before. But we were up to the challenge!We had a great evening.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

Their daily menu is 12\u20ac (drinks extra but you'll get little welcome included in the price) and everything is homemade and worth every euro- it's served from 13:00-17:00 I've ordered fish soup and homemade meatballs with white rice. Both dishes were very tasty 😇 The service is very attentive, quick and very pleasant. Try it if you're around. <\/div>I think the first time I visited Don Quijote must be 30 years ago, when I was a kid. Last time (before now) was around 15 years ago. The meal I had the other day was just as good as I remembered from all those years ago. Very reasonably priced for the quality of food; wine was lovely; service excellent. Would definitely recommend. But be warned : come with an empty stomach, because you will be full when you leave!<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>Wonderful varied menu - the dishes we chose were amazing - cheese pate (almogrote), croquettes, cod in a seafood sauce and the veal ossobooco (which was huge and absolutely gorgeous) - the staff were lovely. We had an outside table elevated with high bar stools which was perfect. My only criticism is that they brought us hot fresh rolls with hummus and butter which felt like a complimentary \u2018amuse bouche\u2019 but it was added to our bill - we wouldn\u2019t have ordered this as we had bread with our pate and huge meals so it wasn\u2019t necessary. I would decline this another time. Otherwise highly recommended and we will definitely go back.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>We entered at 21:10 and host was not really welcoming and told us that we have to leave because they would close now. After we pointed out that it is still 50 minutes the host insisted, so we left and are eating at a much better place nearby.We will not come again.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>Very nice Seafood and different meat based dishes. We had a shrimp cocktail as a starter, seafood pasta and smoked salmon in a nice sauce as mains + home-made crema Catalana as desert.Prices are fair and service was outstanding. Can definitely recommend!<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>This restaurant changed management (from mother to daughter) at the start of this season. Despite this the standard remains high with a few extra choices on the menu. I especially enjoyed their Teriaki Tuna. As someone whose appetite is reducing with age, I like the \u2018senior\u2019 portions, same food only smaller.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\"js_loader\"<\/div> \n
