The Restaurant El Patio de Enmedio is located in a small backstreet right in the center of the Historic part of the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Surrounded by the Cathedral, the Town Hall, the Columbus Museum, the Canarian Museum, the emblematic Plaza de Santa Ana and the romantic Plaza del Pilar Nueva.
It is one of those MUST TRY places in the capital Las Palmas of Gran Canaria. They open every day from morning to evening, so any time is a good time.
We became regulars once we discovered El Patio de Enmedio. When we fancy sitting in a beautiful, relaxing ambience and enjoying good homemade Canarian specialties with a nice glass of wine, we come here.
Its only a stone throw away from the beautiful Cathedral Santa Ana.
The Food is Excellent
Simply said, the food is excellent. The menu is interesting with a nice selection of choice, offering true Canarian and Spanish tapas for affordable prices. Exquisite main courses can be ordered, such as Battered Langoustines, Tiriyaki Chicken, Beef Fajitas, or their specialty Pork Knuckle, to name only a few.
No matter if you are a meat or fish lover, vegetarian or even vegan – you will find a nice selection of choices for starters, main courses and desserts to satisfy your appetite.
El Patio de Enmedio is well known for their vegan desserts options.
Everything is immaculately clean and well kept.
Another one of their specialties and their guest’s favourite (and ours) is the fresh Bull tail cooked for a secret amount of hours in the oven. So tender it can be eaten with a spoon.

The Ambience at El Patio de Enmedio stands high and are very cozy. When you enter the restaurant, you feel like you are entering a secret place, Its like you stepping in to a different world of peace, mysterious corners and decorative little details everywhere you look.
El Patio de Enmedio Terrace
El Patio de Enmedio has a cozy front terrace which fills up fast from about 18:30 in the evening. If you would like a space on the terrace for your dinner we recommend you make an pre-reservation by phone or online.
The Desserts
We love their delicious desserts. There is always a wide selection of typical canarian, international, and even Vegan desserts. There is something special for every type of sweet tooth. – Their Carrot Cake is to die for 🙂
The Staff
The waiters at El Patio de Enmedio are friendly and efficient. They always make you feel welcome, joking around if you are up for it and remain their distance if you prefer privacy. The chefs are always immaculately dressed. It is obvious, the management puts a lot of pride and care into the restaurant, making sure everything runs smoothly.
How to get there
Its only about 2 minutes walk from the Santa Ana Cathedral, and if you come by car. We recommend you park in the big outdoor car park next to the Las Palmas Market hall – Mercado de Vegueta. From the busy shopping street Triana. Its about 10 min. walk
