If you’re looking for something unique and entertaining to do one evening, we recommend the open-air Moonlight Cinema Gran Canaria. It’s Gran Canaria’s only permanent outdoor cinema!
Situated opposite the beautiful lux hotel Lopesan Costa Meloneras, the Moonlight cinema is a must for couples, families and groups and brings a fun twist to your evening. Below a screen shot when we were watching KONG: Skull Island in English with Spanish subtitles. What an experience!
The temperate climate of Gran Canaria means that this out door cinema is open all year-around. Movie viewers get to sit back and relax on large comfortable sofas, watching up-to-date movies under the moonlit sky. Cosy blankets are available for cooler winter nights. With the added perk of a unique sofa service, which brings attentive waiters to your table at the press of a button!
Unique Open-air Cinema Gran Canaria!
As the cinema is outside, all films begin after sun-down. So remember to check listings for timings, as they fluctuate depending on the season. Tickets can be purchased in advance, or just prior to screenings (resident discount available), although we recommend arriving approximately half an hour earlier to secure a good seat, then you can check out the snack menu, which includes those delicious cinema favourites such as popcorn, nachos and pizza, alongside an great drink & cocktail menu, you can even order a bottle of chilled bottle of champagne for those special occasions!
Showing All The Great Movies Every Night
The Moonlight cinema is open everyday and shows two films per evening. The earlier showing is suitable for younger audiences. You can check out their weekly listings by clicking right here. All movies, unless stipulated otherwise, are in the original English version with Spanish subtitles. The sound quality is impressive and the ambience even more so!
