The golf course fees in Gran Canaria vary depending on the time of the year, the tee-times and what course you are playing at. The main difference can be made between summer and winter season, the latter being the busiest season of the year.

Golf Course Fees in the Winter Season (Oct – Apr)

Winter Season is the main golfing season from the 1st of October to the 30th of April.

The green-fee prices in the winter season average around 75 – 120 Euros per 18 holes. If you rent a buggy you have to add 20 Euros per person. Renting a set of clubs on the course costs from 25 to 50 Euros. Average temperature: 20 – 24 ºC

The courses here are very busy in the winter. A round of golf normally takes around 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 hours to finish. Of course, it all depends on what time of day you are playing and which one of the eight golf courses on Gran Canaria.

The busiest golf courses on the island are Maspalomas, Meloneras, Salobre and Anfi Tauro. The reason being that they are situated in the south of the island where the majority of our holidaymakers and golfers are staying.

The four courses mentioned above are within 20 min drive of each other. Whereas El Cortijo and the Real Club de las Palmas in Bandama are situated in the north about a 50 min drive from the southern tourist area.

The green-fee prices can vary also depending on what hotel you are staying in. Certain hotel guests get discounts at certain courses. Or what time of day you are playing. Most courses do certain offers for all golfers. See the golf course discounts to find out more.

Golf Course Fees in the Summer (May – Sep)

The Summer Season is from the 1st of May to the 30th of September

The Green fee prices in the summer average out around 45 to 75 Euros per 18 holes, excluding the buggy. Golf course club rental prices are the same as in the winter: from 25 – 50 Euros per round. Average temperatures in the summer: 25-30ºC

My favourite time to play golf in Gran Canaria is in the summer, because:craig-sea-background

  • The golf course fees are a lot cheaper this time of year.
  • All the courses are in their best condition, because the type of grass on the courses flourishes in the summer heat.
  • The courses are not so busy, except for weekends when the summer tournaments for the residents are held.
  • You can play until around 9.30 in the evening on most golf courses.
  • The most competitive tournaments are in the summer giving me a chance to play some real competetive golf.

The same as in the golf winter season special discounts are offered by most golf courses, like the “sunrise” or “twilight” offers. When these offers are on, it is also the best time of the day to play a game of golf, because the hottest times of the day in the summer is from around 12.00pm till 4pm. You can see the different offers clicking on golf course discount.
