A long mountain, cliff type road that was very narrow. Not for the weak of heart! Super fast taxi transfer for us today. Was prompt and got there early! A lively few hours experience. Arrived at 9.45 and was bought back at 12.15. Option for tapas was nice and included, patas canaries, paella, olives, cheeses and a drink. On camel.for full hour. The camel behind liked to try and get selfie! Animals seemed well looked after. Picked up from our hotel and taken for a tour of the oasis. Fed the baby camel before embarking on a camel ride and then enjoyed some tapas and home made drinks. We even had time on the way back to take some photos at the top of the mountains. No waiting, no queuing, a time slot was booked and everything ran to timeThe camel walk was the perfect length for three young children and gave them a lovely memory of the island.They even helped book us a taxi home afterwoods. Taking pictures was prohibited but they took a picture of you on the camel and sold it for eight euro. The camels seemed to be cared for however when we got their they were chained and some of them were forced to carry 3 people. Was very hot on our visit with an hour riding the camels, so be prepared if you go on a hot day. The tapas at the end were fantastic, an added bonus! Staff were friendly and helpful. There is a bar serving cool drinks when you arrive, we had the fruit juice which hit the spot after a hairy drive over the mountains. You will need a car to get here or come by per booked coach. When we got there there was nobody there as the Camel Safari had already left. It's quiet and since you are actually not in Africa why not take a walk with camels, that's what we thought. Amazing nature there in between the mountains. We took a 20 minutes walk for 15 euros per person which I believe is absolutely reasonable.
