<\/div>WARNING ‼️ For anyone trying to book a room on the hotel\u2019s website. I payed on Monday for a room on the hotel\u2019s website. The money was taken but no confirmation of the reservation received.I immediately called the hotel and they said there\u2019s no reservation on my name and there\u2019s nothing they can do.Today, Friday , after calls and emails, I finally got a response from the hotel stating that all of this has to do with the payment gateway and that they\u2019ve experienced issues with the payment system last week and these past days.The hotel stated that they cannot confirm the bookings, nor can confirm if the card charges have been processed or if they are simply being held until the issue is resolved.Please note, that is the only option of payment system on their website, no other choice is provided.I raised a few concerns of accountability to which I still wait for a reply:-who is going to pay for the time I have no access to my money?-to get to your hotel I payed for flights and rental car, I took holiday leave from work and now it\u2019s all an uncertainty, who\u2019s going to be responsible for this collateral losses?-how you, the hotel, can minimise the way all this issues are affecting your clients? As I just checked the hotel\u2019s website and that payment system is still the only way to pay . It\u2019s an ongoing problem, I\u2019m not the only one.My advice to anyone who wants to make a reservation is to get in touch with the hotel before you make any kind of payment on their website.This review is edited in order for google to post it so i had to take out the name of the hotel\u2019s website , name of the payment system they use, the amount I payed and the dates when this happened. <\/div>Absolutely wonderful stay. We stayed in a family room, on the lowest floor of the first block (furthest from the main block 3, but linked by a gorgeous walkway and possibly the best sunsets?). The sunsets and walkway were a real highlight each day.We arrived late in the evening, after dinner had been served, but we were welcomed with Prosecco at reception, and the serving staff had kept behind some plates that we enjoyed.Family rooms are an excellent size, and the bathrooms are really super too, with separate areas for toilet, bath and shower, which is a really bonus for multiple members of the family using it at the same time.Beach was lovely, not too busy in Feb, and a short walk from the hotel. Lots of parking for hotel residents if you hire a car like we did. Was a 40min drive from the airport, along great roads, easy links to nearby towns and villages.Weather in Feb was 22 degrees everyday and sunny every day, with only occasional cloud. We also really enjoyed the pools at the hotel. The infinity pool is beautiful, and there\u2019s a nice little kids pool. Both were warm enough to swim in for extended periods in February.Delicious food, fantastic variety and friendly serving staff. Tables by the panoramic windows have absolutely stunning views. Dreamy.Overall, we had the best holiday. Cannot recommend highly enough<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>It is a very beautiful place with a stunning view. I booked a spa pass and an 85-minute massage. I highly recommend the spa. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the massage. The therapist was very unskilled and didn't know the techniques. Sometimes, I had the feeling she fell asleep. The room was cold, and the air conditioning blew cold air directly onto my body. This was one of the worst massages I've ever received at a spa. I believe that for such a price, well-trained professionals should be conducting the treatments. The therapist had no experience, and it is impossible to provide good treatment with long nails. I'm sorry to have to write such a review.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>A nice hotel and food good.Room housekeeper v effecient and prepared room early every day.Hotel very busy.I walked into a thick glass panel in the reception area (a discrete panel in a tiny side room)and banged head v hard.Reception man got my daughter some ice but there was no further contact re injury.Head v bruised and painful still(6 days later)a follow up call would have been nice,a fellow quest was v concerned.The panel was not obvious.These little touches make all the difference.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>Stayed in this hotel about 4 years ago for new year was much better then seems to have gone down hill ,rooms need a refurb , entertainment is shocking no atmosphere plus the hall needs a refurb as well,around the pool is nice but same again bar snack area needs a refurb ,the entertainment team or should I say { look at me ) patrickneeds to go ! , the new year gala was ok but no fireworks at midnight the whole place went outside but nothing 😂 seems they are trying to cut back on money with everything including not enough staff , we stayed in the sister hotel last new year ( place amardors) much better.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>The hotel was lovely and quiet and the spa was such a bonus. As soon as we arrived I could feel the calmness. Price seems to have jumped up a lot since we first started to look at this hotel a year ago. Maybe it was the time of year. Would definitely visit again for total quiet and relaxation. They had made an effort having vegan options available at dinner and at breakfast every type of vegan milk was available. Everything was clearly labelled. Food was always fresh and hot. Saw thermometers being used to check temperatures. The upper pool was very quiet with Bali beds available and we did enjoy some pool activites at the Infinity pool with the animation team who were so friendly and fun. All staff were amazing. Very helpful and friendly. No personal phones to be seen, although the bar tender in reception disappeared regularly one evening ( may be due to live football so forgave him ha ha) Cleaner was efficient and discreet. Just one disappointment is that we encountered a staff member entering the hotel (not on duty) being generally negative and rude using the F word. Would go again in a heartbeat if prices drop.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>I already miss this place - it does not have a luxury touch, but everything is here. I liked their fresh food, little live music stage at dinner time, and multiple programms for adults as well even though I couldn't try any of them. Actually you will be kind of busy swimming all the time at Amadores beach, it's one of the best of the island. It was very spacious that I couldn't even figure out the floors until the last day and would get lost at every step.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>Booked a double room with sea views, the pictures are a bit misleading as you only have slight lateral sea views and no view of the pool, Just the main road and an urbanisation. Disappointing as the food has been excellent in the buffet restaurant as well as the service. The Spa is very nice and allows children during certain times. I would be writing a much more positive review if it weren't for the poor view. The pool areas are also nice. I would recommend anyone booking to request not to be in block 4.I have now changed rooms for the last 2 nights so have edited my overall rating of the hotel. <\/div>This is one of the best holiday hotels we have stayed in ! The location is superb and all the staff are fantastic. Special thanks to Patrick, Francisca and Jule they were wonderful. The rooms were large well equipped and clean . It was very spacious with a large balcony and the most amazing views . The whole experience was fantastic. We truly can\u2019t praise all the staff enough , they were all fantastic. As far as the pool goes it was beautiful with the best views you could imagine. June 2024Pros: the amazing friendly, helpful, multilingual staff.The rooms are very large and spotless.The views from the hotel are top notch.Just a short walk to the beach, restaurants, and small stores.You have a choice of 2 pools; one lively and one very peaceful.Cons: the All-Inclusive package is a fraud. You will quickly find many things are not included. Drinks yes included and they are decent. Food; you will eat what when and where they tell you. The food is mass produced resort food. We left a couple times to get a delicious meal at the beach.The pool has many sun chairs and umbrellas but most are reserved with a towel and the people never come. There is nobody monitoring this situation.Half wonderful, skip the all inclusive package. Bring lots of sunblock.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>Brilliant hotel, staff are very welcoming and helpful. The place is kept immaculate. We stayed in the presidential suite and it was perfect for me and the misses and 2 teenagers. The food is really good. You definitely get value for money and the service is spectacular. The views around the hotel are great. We highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely be coming back. Yes the main entrance isn't open at the moment due to some work going on but it make very little difference to your stay. We found it quite handy to come up in the lift from the road. It made sense. The gym has enough to give you a workout. Its not stacked with equipment but it does the job. The Spa is good too. We had a massage and it was brilliant. So enjoy and treat yourselves to an amazing stay at the Gloria palace royal. You will love it.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>We stayed here for a week. The hotel is well-located, just a 5-minute walk to a supermarket and 5 to 10 minutes to the beach. Keep in mind that the hotel is situated in a hilly area, so it might not be convenient if you have mobility issues.The rooms are spacious, and I recommend getting a room with a sea view because the view of the beach and the mountain is beautiful! The cleaners do a good job and the staff is friendly. The water pressure from the shower & toilet is very weak.There are two large outdoor pools and an indoor pool, which is great since it was cold on some days during our stay.The food, especially the dinner (buffet style) and the snack bar, is very poor. We ate at the restaurant on the first night because we arrived late. The food was either very dry, overcooked, or not seasoned. The vegetables, in particular, were cooked as if for elderly people without teeth.Once, we ordered a salami pizza from the snack bar. You can't really call it a pizza. It was so soft and dripping with grease...The breakfast restaurant is nothing special. The basic offerings include various types of bread, sweet and savory spreads, cereals, different kinds of (plant-based) milk, eggs (boiled\/fried\/scrambled), beans in tomato sauce, bacon, (different daily) sausages, and a different vegetable each day (peppers, broccoli, zucchini). The food is not seasoned, but basics like salt and pepper are available.All in all, a good hotel with a great location, but don't expect good hotel food. Fortunately, there are good restaurants at the beach and in the immediate area.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>Lovely hotel with excellent facilities. Rooms are spacious and comfortable with huge balconies overlooking the beautiful bay. Room service was really good and done before 11.00am every day. Food was good but sadly not quite up to the standard that we've been used to in other 4 star plus hotels we've stayed in the Canary Islands. The hotel is located in Amadores Playa, south of Puerto Rico and there are limited facilities outwith the hotel, a few restaurants and stalls on the beach, so you'll need to travel outwith the area if you want some nightlife! Also a steep slope up to the entrance where you access the hotel by glass lift to 6th floor.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>Reading all the good reviews was really excited to visit Gloria Palace Royal but after the arrival was immediately disappointed by the customer service.Hotel has got amazing views and good day entertainment and that is all the good things I can say about it.I was travelling with my family, 2 adults and two children, all inclusive.Firstly when we arrived, after 5h flight, they couldn\u2019t accommodate us to the joined room which was promised before. After one night we had to move all the luggage to another room (no valet to help you with the luggage and we were out of the room for 2h till check in time).You need to be extremely patient as you wait constantly to be served by the bar staff, there are no bracelets so you need to scan the card every time you want to order something (when you\u2019re all inclusive). The card gets faulty a lot so you need to go to the reception to get a new one or fix the one you have.Snack bar only serves food to the table, you cannot take it with you to the sun lounge.There is no smoking area so people smoke next to you at the pool area, when you\u2019re eating, also next to the young children pool.Entertainment at night is very poor, during our 7 day stay we haven\u2019t experienced anything interesting.The food was nice but very poor choice. When you\u2019re with the bigger party you cannot sit at the table with the view as it\u2019s only for 2 people.Lastly on our departure date, we had late transfer and we could not use our card to order drinks at the bar or restaurant despite constant visits to the reception desk. Manager was blaming anyone else but the restaurant and the restaurant did not seem to bother with getting us anything to drink till we finished our meal. Last day should be as easy and relaxing as possible whereas for us it was extremely frustrating and stressful.Overall value for money was very bad.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>Lovely quiet hotel, coach dropped us on the roundabout, cobbled uphill walk to the lift to reception on 6th floor, could be problematic if you have mobility issues.Room was clean, with a side view of the sea. It was not quite what we were expecting, there was just the coffee table and chairs, the photos led us to believe there would be sunbeds on the balcony as well as chairs,The room had a kitchenette regularly topped up with milk and teabags, (complementary bottles of water in room 2.50euros at dinner) until after the guest questionnaire had been filled in, seemed to forget after that. The beds were extremely comfortable, the food was very good lots of choice. My husband enjoyed the pool the 3 times he went in, we did not spend a lot of time at the hotel during the day, and went out after dinner in the evening. Entertainment not good enough to make us want to stay at the hotel in the evening.\u2606\u2606Where our room was situated if the wind was in the direction of the hotel was the smell of sewerage from across the road. Passing it walking down to the beach made us quite nauseous. Amadaous beach itself along with the bars restaurants was lovely, my husband said there is quite a drop in depth in the sea to be aware of. 12 euros for 2 beds and parasol for the day.As we were celebrating my husbands 60th birthday, the hotel left us a bottle of cava and cake in our room..nice touch...would go back but request a room not in block 4.Bus stop across the road, frequent service, and a cheap way to visit other beaches nearby.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>Just returned from a week\u2019s stay over New year. The hotel is fabulous and very well located. Overlooking the beautiful Amadores beach which is a ten minute walk from the hotel. There is a coastal path to walk along to the port of Puerto Rico. We took taxis easily to the shops\/bars of Puerto Rico which is five minutes away. A 15 minute taxi to beautiful Puerto Mog\u00e1n and just over one hour on a bus to Las Palmas. There is a Spar shop just outside the hotel for all essentials.The hotel rooms are large and spacious, very clean and with big balconies overlooking the beach. The staff without exception are so hard working and friendly and helpful which is wonderful. The buffet is excellent the best I have experienced, something for everyone. New Year\u2019s Eve was well organised and there was a wonderful buffet and fireworks display at midnight which was a lovely surprise.The spa is lovely and relaxing, we had wonderful massages and the infinity pool was absolutely amazing and warm enough in January. We found it easy to get loungers on the upper floor by the other pool and they had some nice beds here too which we used most days. The hotel is immaculately clean. The only down side is evening entertainment at the hotel needs to be improved. We found evenings very quiet here and struggled to find a good bar within close distance. Recommend Tipsy Bee in town. We would definitely recommend this hotel it made our holiday! Perfect winter sun break. We hope to return soon!<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>This certainly was a Christmas stay to remember, excellent throughout from the moment of arriving to that on sadly leaving. I found everything was geared for the enjoyment of the guests. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the food is first class with so many options in the buffet restaurant at breakfast, lunch and dinner - the Christmas evening meal being so well planned and catered. Rooms are spacious, cleaned daily, with plenty of wardrobe space and a generous balcony overlooking the bay of Amadores with its glorious sunset. My room had a separate shower and bath (Tip bring own hair conditioner, though if you forget there is a \"Spar\" shop 100 metres away!) Outside the pool areas are again cleaned daily with many sun loungers for you to lie on the provided towels. The pool, sun terrace, mirador bar on the same level as reception also benefits from a variety of lounger beds and seemed to be used almost entirely by adults. The spa area is well used. However what really \"makes the hotel\"in my opinion, are the staff, no matter their role. All were always so cheerful, friendly and eager to help. We will be back.Other tip: The inclusive option is value for money (now the bracelet system has been replaced with a card system)<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>Don't bother with this place if you want all inclusive and a quiet time!Still here ATM having taken family and grandchildren for half term break, listening to disco bar over the road from in the room with doors closed and curtains pulled.First the positives.Great bay and beach. Ideal for swimming.Larger than usual rooms. Ours had a bath and shower, although the shower is an old fashioned mixer one that runs cold or boiling hot.Most staff are very good, if overworked!I must mention Patriq (kidz club) who is fantastic with the children but completely overworked.Now the negatives.Apparently a rock fall has closed the main entrance drive, so the only way in and out is via the lift next to the loading bay. (Govt has a closure notice on the drive, I'm told) Not made aware of this by Jet 2, even though they have known for 4 months. In our case the private transfer dumped us off in the dark in the loading bay to find our own way.Once we found reception (no help with luggage) only one person on the desk (odd for a Saturday night)Our room was at the other end of the hotel. This is a large hotel , but again,no help with bags etc.We spent nearly 12k for 7 nights fully inclusive, but not everything is included. I get premium drinks would be extra, but the hotel has some strange rules. You get a card which must be presented at all times when ordering drinks and food. At that point you are told what is included and what is not. eg some burgers at the pool bar\/restaurant are included, some not, same with ice creams.Not enough staff for the kidz club. Activities cancelled at the drop of a hat .The wine included in the restaurant is pretty ropey .There is a main road just under the hotel which is pretty busy 24x7. So when the disco bar closes you have the road noise.I could go on, but the central theme is that it appears the hotel is penny pinching . Plus unfortunately it's in the wrong place, or the road and disco is .Can't understand why their reviews are so good as it's definitely not worth the money.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

Only a soap dispenser in the bathroom, no moisturiser or conditioner so I had to buy some.The food in the main restaurant was very good with steak & fish being cooked individually to your taste.All the staff were very efficient & polite.Plenty of sunbeds around the glorious affinity pool, but this may get packed if you were there during g the school holidays.Highly recommend a holiday here.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>The hotel has got a beautiful view over the Amadores. Excellent cleaning. Staff of very serviceminded, children friendly and always smiling people.We had the stay with nice and variated breakfast and it was made even better by a very good vaiter (Manuel).I had birthday when we were there and the hotel has put Champagne and cake in the room.We went to the \u00c1 la carte restaurant and got the tasting menu🤩 (with wine, well chosen, by the vaiter), which was splendid and served by Philip a very competent and pleasant vaiter who made the evening a special night. We will definitely come back 🙂<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>In general a good place, enjoyed my stay a lot but here are the following points that disappointed me..Arrived at 11 am, was told check in is at 2pm , went for lunch and came back at 2pm for check in they kept me waiting for a whole hour saying that they're still cleaning the room because apparently the current visitors checked out late although they knew we were coming, not to also mention how rude the lady behind the desk was... when we finally got to the room, the room was absolutely dirty with candy rappers left on the floor, hairs on the floor, my baby's feet were black after he walked on the floors for like 10 mins, when i approached them about it they said it was not cleaned properly because the last visitor checked out late which is absolutely a ridiculous excuse for a 4 star hotel. A well-respected hotel would immediately offer another room or something but nope nothing.They don't provide irons in the room so make sure you either bring your own or iron your clothes at home before travelling, instead they offer to iron your clothes for 5 euros a piece :)The shower's temperature is unstable hot - cold- hot, horrible showers haha, but i got used to it after 3 nights..Regarding food, lots of options, very impressive, but like only 10% was tasty, dessert was very good.Both adult's and kid's pool were always so cold.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>This place is awesome. This hotel was the first one to be build at Playa de Amadores and it ignited an avalanche of activity in the area. The place is beautiful, both inside and outside. The pool is fantastic. And it has a great spa. But what we liked most of all is the staff. They make you really feel at home without overdoing it. We highly recommend this place. Go check it out! And don't forget the food... which is awesome as well. 5 star experience. This was our second time here and we will be back for a third...<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>We recommend it mainly for the swimming pool. The infinity pool is a five star one. It has a big jacuzzi in the middle and a spectacular view. The aqua spinning activity is also nice, with a kind trainer. The access to spa is free. The food is good, with a wide variety. They even have a real honey comb for breakfast! The hotel was understaffed during our stay in August, and the waiting time at the restaurant or pool bar was very long at peak hours. The waiters are doing their best, but they should be more numerous, really. The soups were much-much better at the pool bar at lunch time than at the restaurant at dinner, we loved the lentil one!The cherry on top of the cake: the night shows! The Michael Jackson impersonator was simply amazing, one of the best ever seen. And the magic show done by the two youg ladies was very engaging. Overall, it has the best infinity swimming pool ever, lovely night shows and a very kind and hard-working staff.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

Have been getting quite frustrated with the phrase \"is not all inclusive\". Snack bar at the upper pool won't serve food to all-inc customers, ice cream and even a milkshake for the kids \"Is not on all inclusive\". Perhaps time the hotel started using the more honest phrase of \"almost-inclusive\" before you pay, and not telling you everyday after.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

Happy to go above and beyond.Rooms are big, comfortable and have everything you need.Maids do an excellent job cleaning and very accommodating with requests. We wanted 2 still waters every day and only had to ask once and received this for full week.All of the cleaners around the hotel and pool area are first class and not one single one would ignore you when you pass, always a smile or a greeting.Restaurant and bar staff are fantastic, friendly inviting and accommodating to every request. Remembering you order from day to day is an extra special touch and many have that ability.Pool staff and lifeguards are great. Patryk was amazing, great fun, entertaining and willing to change things around so everyone can take part. Games and activities were plentiful and varied.The evening entertainment was very poor and definitely needs some attention, I only enjoyed 2 nights out of the whole week. <\/div>A very nice hotel with super nice, professional staff. Two swimming pools, decks everywhere overlooking the sea. I think all rooms have a sea view balcony, many with a glass wall. The main dining room for breakfast & all-inclusive pkg meals is very very busy but it is well-staffed and waiting at the buffet is always short. Or there is an excellent restaurant with top cuisine dishes, outdoor tables with views of the Amadores beach, a reservation is obligatory. Midday there is a daily free water aerobics course in the main pool (one side facing the sea is infinity), it's best to get to the pool areas as early as possible to find available chaise lounges & umbrella. Free pool towels are at the reception. Next to the main pool is a cafeteria style restaurant\/bar with basic fare, next to the upper pool is a bar with snacks. Family friendly with ample children's play areas. All in all a very nice and fairly affordable hotel experience with smiling staff faces.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

Lovely, good size room, beautiful view, amazing infinity pool, the buffet offers something for everyone even fussy people like myself, food at the pool was also excellent, prices very reasonable for what isn't included, a short walk from the beautiful beach (take a snorkel the rocks provide a habitat for some lovely fish). There is a Spar and bus stop very close by. All of the staff were exceptional, friendly, happy, and very helpful. <\/div>We decided to go here for our honeymoon after spending a few days in Las Palmas.The positives: location is great and overlooks the ocean. The housekeeping and kitchen staff and incredibly nice and friendly.Negatives: alcohol in Spain is very cheap yet the hotel was incredibly miserly about the \u2018all inclusive\u2019 package offered by the hotel. The amount of times we heard \u2018that\u2019s not included in the all inclusive package\u2019 at the hotel was astonishing. Having stayed in another all inclusive in Mexico, we were shocked by how limited our choices were for getting drinks during the day and that they had a pool bar that charged for drinks. The main pool bar is very understaffed and drinks are watery. Also the complimentary bottle of \u2018champagne\u2019 or \u2018cava\u2019 in the room is an awful 5% sweet sparkling wine.On the second to last day, my husband fell extremely ill from what we believe is salmonella or other food poisoning from the buffet or grill. It has now been over a week and he is still unwell and will be getting tests done at the doctor to ensure he didn\u2019t catch anything too serious.To summarize - I recommend the hotel for the location but do not at all recommend the all inclusive package and wouldn\u2019t recommend this as a honeymoon hotel. The housekeeping and kitchen staff work very hard but the management tries to cut corners and reduce costs where they can, which is insulting for the price we paid.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

Also found the first set of key cards for our room didn't work which seemed to happen to quite a few people we knew that were also staying in the hotel. On the positives, it seemed to be in a great location as the beach was a short walk away, the views from the pool were fantastic and seemed to have good facilities including a spa and a few restaurants to choose from. <\/div>They offered a large breakfast, but the quality of the products was not so good. The rooms are full of old furniture, and two spring mattresses for couples. Lifts not working properly (some of them were out of the service during our stay). Pool & SPA are open only from 8 AM to 6 PM which is a joke. In the room, there is a coffee table which is a home for ants. The ventilation that was supposed to work automatically was not in working order and when it was working it was very noisy. Same with the AC (very old, noisy) and it wasn't clean so we had immediately the feeling that polluted air enters the room. The room was supposed to be soundproofed, yet I could hear a guest snoring in the next room all night.In summary, someone once invested a lot of money in this place, but now you get the feeling that they are just cutting off coupons. I will never come back here and I cannot recommend this hotel even to my biggest enemy.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

Following a delicious breakfast with so many choices to suit everyone, you can then choose from the breath-taking infinity pool or go directly to the superb beach, which is only a couple of minutes\u2019 walk from the hotel. There are many great restaurants along the beach in which to eat lunch, but we were always careful not to ruin our appetite for our evening meal.The reason for writing my first ever review is out of respect for the quality of food provided by what can only be described as amazing chefs. Even more so when considering they are catering for many people choosing to eat at a variety of different times. Yes the hotel is immaculately clean, yes all the staff are wonderfully friendly and professional, but it was the quality, taste and variety of food which really stood out.Amadores is a very beautiful and peaceful place to enjoy your vacations, enhanced by a truly wonderful dining experience. <\/div>Myself and my wife had a well deserved break here. We had been to the Amadores sister hotel and as this hotel was a higher star rating we thought we would give it a try.We asked for a quiet room and we\u2019re given a quiet room at the far end of block one. The room was a very good size (I use a wheelchair- but didn\u2019t need an adapted room at the time).The balcony had a somewhat obscured view due to the shape of the stonework.Whilst the room was quiet, there was a lot of loud music heard from the bars in the bay below, this could be heard from our room.Staff were mostly friendly and helpful and Yanira in the restaurant looked after us. Manuel a waiter in the restaurant was amusing with his cheerful singing and welcoming manner.Entertainment was terrible, they have a large room\/bar for entertainment but it was just so hot in there and felt like there was no air conditioning. It was awful to see the performers playing to almost empty room. In our experience the entertainment lets the hotel down and I felt strange going to a hotel where people are playing cards trying to amuse themselves when there is quite embarrassing for the hotel.Caution because of Covid was adhered to strictly which was a good thing and we felt safer there than in the UK.They have a piano and a small bar in the large\/reception\/lobby area. This was not in use and had we known it may have influenced our decision with hotel choice as we liked this feature of their sister hotel.The hotel is up a steep hill and whilst they have a lift down, this was out of action two days and so I tried to get up in my electric wheelchair. My chair is a powerful top of the range chair, but the hill was too much for it. It is\/would be very hard for people to walk up and down it all the time, unless they were super fit of course.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>Fabulous views.Good breakfast. Nice walk to the beach but uphill all the way back. Lifts are glass so if you struggle with heights you will need to take the stairs. <\/div>We are quite satisfied on our stay in the resort. The view was amazing everyday and we cannot get use to it. Very peaceful place and we had a pleasant stay. There was a day when i get a survey form and ask to answer some questions and wrote that we got a 2 single beds and i keep on falling in the middle... When i came back to take shower in the afternoon and lay down to relax, i found out that the gap is gone!!!! It was exhilarating❤️🥰!!!!!!!<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>Just spent one week, all inclusive. The views from the infinity pool are amazing and the staff are all helpful and English speaking. The evening was very quiet, and just singers as entertainment, which meant the evenings were quite flat. The food was fine, but only 1 bar to get a drink from, which meant there was usually a wait. Overall we had a good time, and loved the spa and gym facilities 😌<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>We loved everything about Gloria, there was a huge variety of food with plenty of vegetarian options and the staff was very friendly and professional. The views from the infinity pools are breathtaking!We were concerned about some bad reviews but when during our whole stay we realised that they weren\u2019t even close to the truth. The rooms are comfortable, a\/c works well.The only inconvenience is that you have to take a lift to the beach and then walk for a while. It\u2019s worth the experience tho😍<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>I loved the stunning sea view from my room, the room was very spacious, clean, and cozy.The food was absolutely amazing, so many options to choose from and also very fresh.The infinity pool was amazing and not too crowded.The cons:There wasn't a plug next to the bed, which is VERY annoying if you want to charge your phone and use it when you're in bed.SPA and pool closing times- closing them at 6 o'clock is quite early, they could at least keep them open until 8 'clock.The toiletries in the bathroom...In a 4 star hotel, I would expect to find a shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and body lotion, here there was only a 2in1 shower gel and shampoo (not of the highest quality).Overall, an enjoyable experience, I would definitely go back!<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>We spent there two weeks in Aug. so we had enough time to form an opinion about the hotel.Pros: stunning location, infinity pool together with a view over the bay, spacious & clean rooms, good breakfast.Cons: rude and not professional staff at the reception desk and pool, limited number of sun beds together with the strange rule of booking the bed with a towel, the quality of food for dinner.If you look for good 4 star hotel I wouldn\u2019t recommend Gloria Palace Royal.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>I stayed at this hotel and I can only say I am very satisfied. He justified all 4 stars. Starting with the breakfast which was varied and there was something for everyone there is also an outdoor pool for adults and a small one for children who have beautiful view of the sea. Every day they cleaned our room and tightened the beds and we had clean towels. The only drawback was that they gave us beds that were separated in between and I was quite annoyed because every now and then I moved the mattress and fell hole in between but I survived 4 nights well. I would really like to recommend them to all my friends because they are the best Hotel in Gran Canaria<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

Food is decent, more or less what you can expect from a buffet restaurant but with a lot of variety throughout the week. Short downhill walk to the beach. <\/div>Amazing views and friendly staff cloud the reality. Food was sometimes perfect but most of the time overcooked or undercooked if you chose the meat which is to be cooked in front of you, which on the second night gave me food poisoning so I stopped choosing it after that and the rest of the dinners went okay. Kids pool had missing and broken tiles from the floor which could easily cut a child\u2019s foot, but they simply put a slide over it but the slide can easily be moved by kids 🤔, reception staff are useless, had two emergencies in the room with our baby but both times no one answered so had to run and get the lifeguard, also found one young male to be rude and uncaring on reception even with a 1 year old and then finally the room. Well it was layers out well and great views but the balcony handrail from a high up floor was wobbly, fans were old and made horrible noises so we turned them off and then they leaked water, the bathroom ceiling was in need of plastering and one electrical socket from the bedroom was missing. And this was a suite, not one of their standard rooms. So the three stars are for the views and catering staff.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

They brought sparkling wine and a piece of cake in my room for my birthday!And the best is the infinite pool 😍I heavily recommend this hotel!<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

Restaurant food was good (and I'm vegetarian).My only feedback would be to tell the restaurant managers in suits to relax a bit; they seem a bit tense and serious (guys, it's a buffet at a hotel, not an MI5 counter-intelligence unit!)Vera at the front desk was especially helpful and friendly. Really nice lady. She made me feel so welcome here. I've seen other reviews mention her; I can totally understand now.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>Very good service. We booked a double room, but due to water damages, we were upgraded in a Suite. The room was clean, comfortable and well located in the hotel. It was a bit far from the pool, but very quiet. We enjoyed an astonishing sea view from the terrace. The food was good, but a bit oily... One tiny bad point: knives don't cut very well...We also had dinner at Kaia Restaurant. Our gastronomic dinner was delicious, we can see how good the products are!
