A lovely hotel with beautiful indoor and outdoor areas, as well as activities and entertainment options to keep all members of three families and three generations happy.Delicious and varied food.Staff are generally extremely friendly and helpful. Reception staff were welcoming and efficient, and dealt with some technical key card problems well, keeping us updated. I found that for the smallest concern, they would take care of it immediately.Restaurant staff always had time to exchange a little conversation with us and worked extremely hard to keep our large table of 9 clean and to always find a nice area for us very quickly.Rooms were extremely comfortable and spacious. Our second visit and we enjoyed it even more!My only request would be daily complimentary water and brighter lighting in the rooms!

Lovely hotel in a lovely part of the world. I wouldn't call it a 5 star but it's a very high 4. The grounds and building are stunning and you have lots of space to not be bored but the food did get boring.

Just enjoyed a lovely week with family at Lopesan boabab for eater holidaysThe hotel is lovely with some fantastic pools heated too which was a bonus! However my one negative is the pools are missing some tiles and children are cutting there toes dailyThey were fixing some of the pool tiles in a morning before pool opened but I think they have a lot to go at to make the pool safer.Pool entertainment was great from aqua gym to pool slide and a form party kids loved it!Hotel staff brilliant and the hotel was very clean. All staff very helpful. We only stayed b&b breakfast was busy at times but couldn’t fault the food at all.Evening entertainment not bad a good range of shows/singers on.Rooms are good shame no kettle in the rooms and we did find a little dark through I know it’s an African theme which is lovely around the hotel but better lighting in the room would be good.Hotel is in a fantastic location, a very short walk out the hotel to bars restaurants and shops. Some fabulous restaurants and we had a brilliant meal every evening.Fully enjoyed are week but unfortunately the prices for future stays are really getting too high.

What a wonderful hotel resort LOPESAN BAOBAB is, all the staff were amazing from the moment we arrived until we left, the facilities were great lots of swimming pools all very clean with life guards, clean pool towels every day, the rooms were very clean & modern & had lots of hangers to hang your clothes on, beautiful bath & shower, we had half board & our restaurant food was amazing so much variety, & the self serve was easy to navigate, the restaurant staff were wonderful couldn’t do enough to help especially Irene our server. The hotel had some wonderful entertainment for young & old.The surrounding area of the hotel & the beach local to the hotel was beautiful & clean & the whole area was very safe to walk around during the day & night, there is a nice little shopping mall with a good variety of shops of which some are designer definitely Five Stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Such a family friendly hotel, with 8 or so pools and 1 for kids. Great for first time families, staff make you feel very welcomed, the resort is large and takes around 1500 steps to walk around it, so it takes a day or so to get used to the hotel. Extremely unique hotel with trees inside, room service and maintenance is very good,.the only downside is they only give you 2 bottles of complimentary water. Has a small gym which is free to use.

TRAVEL AGENT: Currently staying at the hotel and feel so aggrieved by how badly we’ve been let down. I never write reviews like this but the service from the reception team has been awful. It is such a shame as it’s a beautiful hotel and the service in the restaurants is great. My one star is for them only.I’ve spent so much time trudging back and forth between reception chasing down a cot bed and our luggage. No one answers the phone when you call reception (this is day three and I’ve tried so many times throughout the day) - head down to the UNIQUE service desk at reception and you’ll wait, wait, and wait some more trying to get some assistance. You’ll be told your room is ready… it won’t be. You’ll be told your luggage is in there …it won’t be. You’ll be given a room key, but the room is occupied and you stumble in on a naked guest. You’ll be told the amenities you’ve asked and waiting for you in the room …they won’t be. All done with a smile. After remaining really calm about it all, when you finally have had enough and make a complaint… expect a really bad attitude.Do not bother with a suite with UNIQUE service, it’s genuinely dreadful.

The rooms and the various pools and chill out areas definitely deserve the 5 stars. The staff is super friendly and we had a great time with our baby. However the food is far from a 5 star rating. Sadly it did not meet our expectations.

There was no maple syrup for breakfast pancakes - the tiniest of things, that didn’t really spoil my holiday. The resort is amazing and vast. The breakfast really gets you set up for the day (so my maple syrup comment is with tongue in cheek. It’s probably the only thing you can’t get, but the range is massive and the staff all excellent. It’s comfortable in the rooms, clean, well proportioned and well laid out. I found all the options around buffets at different times of day a bit confusing so didn’t bother. there isn’t really an explanation in one place of all of these nice options and I am quite shy.Thank you for a great break -

Very nice hotel. Easy parking underground and 5 min walk to the shopping center and supermarket. Rooms are nice but honestly basic to 5 stars hotel. Missing some amenities for a luxurious hotel. Lighting in the room is so low and the a/c is central. No wine glasses lots of beverages with one pringle. Pools restaurants and services are very professional and good. Breakfast was full and rich wirh lots of food

I have to admit that i was concerned about this holiday before we left after reading a few negative reviews but i really should not of been . The Hotel and grounds are stunning ,Nice warm pools , A few tiles are missing in the pools that need attention but apart from that all good . Brian on reception was so helpful and made us very welcome from the minute we arrived . Breakfast was great , The Unique service was worth it especially the reserved pool area . Really enjoyed our stay and will be back .

Beautiful hotel with a very kind and helpful staff. Although it is a big hotel, it gives a cosy feeling. The food was ok but not at a 5 star level. It was very unpleasant that guests put towels in the pool chairs hours before they arrived, so every sunny place was taken. Please inform guests at arrival that it is forbidden to do so. First come first served.

Without doubt a deserved 5 star hotel with top class facilities. Great location, an impressive building in general and a "garden" the likes of which you have never seen before. Would give 6 stars if possible here! Will definitely come back

This was my 8th visit to Lopesan Baobab Hotel, and it continues to impress. The hotel boasts spectacular scenery and is impeccably clean and well-maintained. The buffet meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner offer delicious food with excellent service. The staff are consistently friendly, and the rooms are clean and well looked after. While the bars are lovely, I noticed a slight decrease in the quality of cocktails compared to previous visits. Despite a hiccup with our online booking not making it to the system, the reception staff were super friendly, and check-in was easy. Luckily, a room was still available. Overall, a fantastic stay.

I had an excellent 4 night stay at Lopesan Baobab Resort. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, greeting me with a glass of cava - they also resolved an issue with the bed layout quickly and without hassle. The resort is beautiful, very clean and well-kept grounds with many outdoor areas and pools. My only minor gripe was the hotel layout is confusing and the lack of signage makes it hard to navigate - if you were only staying a few nights, many would struggle to find their way around. I would happily stay here again, although I imagine it would be much busier (and more expensive) in the summer months though!

The hotel building is a lesson in architecture, wherever Europeans go, they create neoclassical reminders of their fatherlands, but here is an exception, a building on a Spanish island close to the west coast of Africa and inspired by African architectural form. It’s so entertaining for kids. The staff are superb, rooms are generous and all get several hours of direct sunlight, it is located very close to the warmest beach in GC where you can see superb sunsets.

It was our second time being there and we had a great time. Quite a lot of activities for adults and kids with amazing staffs like Hachim, Alejandra, Natalia and Lucia. Great pools and restaurants. Room service was fast and efficient. There was an unpleasant smell of sewer in the bathroom and they resolved it. The day after hotel manager sent us sweet treats as a compensation! Renovation is required for the corridors.

We visited the Akara restaurant one evening this week. The setting was amazing. We would especially like to comment on the amazing attentive service we received from Carlos. It was busy. We were early. His manner was so professional. Hard working but always pleasant. Food was excellent too. We would stay at this hotel on our next visit!

Beuatiful hotel. Stayed for 10days over New Year. Excellent choice and quality of food. The NYE gala buffet and the celebrations that the hotel arranged were truly excellent. The pools were great. We were a party of 10 and everyone loved their stay. All the staff were excellent, HACHIM stood out in the Animation team.

Outstanding Hotel that deserves every one of its 5 stars.Just back from 5 nights there and it's the biggest and best Hotel I've ever stayed in.It's Jungle/Africa themed throughout and I probably didn't get to see all the facilities in the 5 days because there is so much there.Breakfast was delicious with choices to suit every palate. The Staff are second to none.Highly recommended.

We had a pleasure to stay in this hotel over the Christmas period with our toddler and a baby. Hotel's interior design is 10 out of 10. We haven't seen any other hotel like this one so far. Food delicious, the only let down was breakfast - very repetitive. Every morning exactly the same food. We have stayed for 11 days so you could imagine getting a bit board of breakfast. Also we were a bit disappointed with the smell in the shower room. It was pretty unpleasant smell (room 1021).As a suggestion we would just recommend if hotel could consider getting heated swimming pool in kids area. Last few hotels we had stayed over the Christmas they all had it and it was way more pleasant for kids. Especially as kids pool in Lopesan Baobab hides in a bit of shade.Over all with my partner we are happy to give strong 8 out of 10 to Lopesan Baobab 🙂

The best hotel for the family. The kids pool with slide was very good and my son loves it. It is also good that there is a big kids accessible pool, like a real beach. In the evening at 19:30, there was a mini disco. My son went there every day and really enjoyed dancing and saw Panchi and Patty. When he saw them, he reacted like he saw a superstar 😂One thing I want to mention is, the steak meats weren't fresh at all. They were already black colored and tasted old. So, when you want to eat steak, better always ask to make it well-done.Overall, I would definitely come back on my next visit!! Super amazing.

This is not the first time we have stayed at this hotel, last time was wonderful, this time horrendous. Builders working in our room on arrival and staff not turning up to help, fortunately the builders rang reception. We were given a complimentary lunch and a kettle and 2 days worth of tea/ coffee tray, for a consolation and that was deemed acceptable, ( we had just been out to buy our own, as only a kettle had turned up previously). After an hour and half waiting back in reception, we were bumped to a twin room with a cot, still a distance and a challenge for my mobility, I am disabled. . 24 hrs later we were given a room not so far from reception. This is how we will leave the hotel and with this memory.

It’s a very nice resort with many pools and facilities. The food is good and the staff are friendly. It’s a kids friendly place with many activities for them. If you are not coming with your kids maybe it worth going to the other Lopesan hotels around. There are a lot of restaurants, bar and shopping centers around and a very nice walking area by the sea. The location is amazing and you can spend a nice night there
Absolutely stunning hotel. Sparkling clean. If you asked at the desk for absolutely anything, they will have it sent to your room before you even know it. Entertainment in the hotel was beautiful. And with the number of loungers at the pools, you don't even have to worry you will always find a few empty at any pool. Myself my husband and my son had unforgettable time. Hotel is breathtaking it's so beautiful beautiful you wouldn't find nicer hotel in grand canary island.

I see it has been mentioned here in reviews several times, and I see that Management have chosen not to reply on this topic, but......The quality of the buffet food (breakfast and dinner) is not as good as it should be. For the price you are paying it should be of a much higher quality. Everything else fine. But when you start to not look forward to meal times... well, that's a problem.

From the moment we set foot in the Lopesan Baobab Resort, we were enveloped in an oasis of luxury and tranquility. The multiple swimming pool areas are beautifully designed, surrounded by an abundance of palm trees and interconnected with picturesque bridges. It truly felt like a tropical paradise. The overall service at this resort is nothing short of 5 stars. Each meal was a delightful culinary experience, boasting delicious flavors that tantalized our taste buds. What stood out even more was the dedicated and attentive staff who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was impeccable. This resort is definitely a must-visit destination in Gran Canaria. We are already looking forward to our next visit and will undoubtedly be back again. Highly recommended

One word. Wow. This hotel is such an incredible masterpiece, full of things to explore and a unique, African design. When walking in, you are instantly greeted by a rainforest-like entrance, with waterfalls flowing on each side and the sound of tropical animals fill the room.Staff are friendly and make you feel welcomed during your visit. The rooms are so comfortable, however the lighting could be a bit more lighter in my preference.Food is magnificent, with menus rotating each day, leaving you completely (pleasantly) surprised at dinner time. Breakfast always stays the same, and free drinks are included at breakfast, however not at dinner. There are many choices of pools, from shallow to deep, from small to large in length. Unfortunately they can also be crowded, mostly by little children, so if you are looking for something like an adults-only hotel, this is definitely not it.The area around the hotel includes several shopping areas and restaurants (not like you need them at all). The beach is a mere 10 minute walk, but the water can be a bit murky and really crowded during the hot summer days.Overall, I enjoyed my time in Lopesan Baobab, it’s not your typical hotel, which makes it all the more memorable.

The hotel gives a very nice first impression with its architecture, many beautiful pools, nice wellness options, etc. But when it comes to the details, unfortunately it fails.First of all: Food.As a vegetarian, the buffet is a shame. The first day we complained to the reception to highlight that the signs are not correct or missing completely, so we often could not figure out what ingredients the dishes really contained. But even with signs, we noticed that they basically put meat and fish in EVERYTHING. Not even the pasta or risotto dishes are vegetarian, so my friend had a hard time to find something to eat except for the children‘s corner with fries or some tomato sauce … in a 5 Star Resort, we expect more. The pool bar is very disorganized and even for a few nacchos the waiting is quite long.People also reserve chairs in the very early morning, which the guards don‘t do anything about. If you come to the pool at noon, there are no chairs left. Crazy. Our room was clean and pretty, but the walls are not sound proof at all and it was very loud. There even was some weird electrical noise all night long that made me sleep with earplugs all the time. Not very relaxing. The free hotel gym is poorly equipped, for the bigger one we have to pay extra fees.Still, the employees were very friendly and the reception team was very welcoming and helpful. The trip we booked via the hotel for horseriding was great and well organized.

We stayed here for 3 nights to try it out while visiting Gran Canaria. We booked 2 Unique pool rooms and paid around £1600 for both. This included half board for 4 adults. The resort is lovely: stunning landscaping, very clean and relaxing. We had no issues during our stay and all the staff we encountered were fantastic.Food was a real step up from most resorts we have experienced; there was plenty of choice and all good quality. I highly recommend the Unique upgrade here if you can get a deal. The pool rooms were massive with a balcony that includes a shaded seating area, sunbathing area with 2 loungers and a personal infinity pool. The Unique package also provides various other perks like a VIP lounge where drinks and snacks are complimentary between 11-6, VIP pool area with really comfy sunbeds/soft drinks and the choice to have breakfast away from the crowds in a quiet open air restaurant.Evening entertainment looked good although we didn't really watch any of it for long, there was a good selection of drinks at reasonable prices. This resort is perfect for those wanting a slightly more adult experience than the typical "all inclusive" resorts provide.Highly recommended.

Amazing hotel to stay at and would definitely come back. The bar is quite nice with good seating and bar staff the second bar next to the pool tables has live music sometimes. The food was quite good and each day the food would change to a different theme. My room was very spacious; we had a family room that we were upgraded into due to it being my parents anniversary which could fit around 6 people the A/C wasn't the best and would make a buzzing sound a lot of the time. The room was also very under lit and not much light near the beds without a very bright lamp on. We also needed to ask for a coffee machine when it was supposed to be in the room already. The 6 pools were well kept and the main pool was huge. Over all 7.5/10

Lopesan Baobab Resort is really amazing and one of a kind!Everything here is absolutely perfect at every details!Everything is African style inspired and I really loved the idea. Definitely you should really come and enjoy this African vibe at least once in a lifetime. The rooms are very beautiful, clean and spacious. The view from the balcony really made me feel like I'm in a African jungle. The food is soooo tasty at any corner and restaurant. We tried all the restaurants and also the "a la carte" one and we really recommend it!The pools are really great! We enjoyed all the space around! The resort is very good for families, but also for couples! We will definitely come back here!

Amazing resort to come with family or as a couple. We came with our baby and you can access everywhere with the stroller, and the staff and service is very friendly and kid appropriate. There are many activities during the day. There are pools for everyone taste: quiet, with kids, deeper, shallow, with sun, in the shadow...Food and drinks are great. The buffet has a lot of variety and there are new dishes everyday.Everything is clean and well taken care of.Everyone in the staff is super friendly and wants to make sure you have a pleasant stay. The design of the hotel is unique and it feels like you are in a exotic place while you are in the safety of Europe.

Although the hotel has 5 stars, I could not rate our experience as being a 5 stars one. The breakfast, even if it is quite diverse, consists of food which is not of the highest quality. When we arrived at the hotel, there was only one person in the huge reception of the hotel and we were offered a room which had an unpleasant odour. We have been offered another room, but we could still smell a bit of that odour which was because of the lack of the proper ventilation of the back of the room. The room and the hotel itself, because of its theme, have few lighting. It was nice at first because it was something different and the architecture is truly amazing, but throughout our stay we felt the need of more light in our room. We noticed they offer a “unique member” membership and I guess this would offer you a proper 5 stars experience.

Upon entering you're immediately hit by the beauty of this place, the walls are surrounded by waterfalls, so the sounds and views are gorgeous, it even noticeably smells incredible. I can't fault this place, the staff were really good with us, rooms are decent and have robes and towels and little bits and pieces you might need in. They had things like Yoga classes, boutiques and many other amenities. Great food choices here, lots for vegetarians too, I wish I could have stayed longer because I fell in love with this hotel.

I regret to inform you that my recent stay at your hotel was nothing short of a nightmare. As someone who has stayed at many hotels over the years, I can confidently say that this was one of the worst experiences I have ever had.Firstly, the check-in process was a complete disaster. My party and I were not allowed to check in until 14:40, despite the designated check-in time being 14:00. We had to inquire at reception before we were even allowed to check in. This kind of delay is completely unacceptable, and it set a negative tone for the rest of our stay. The room we were given was in poor condition as well. The beds were creaky and uncomfortable, and the springs made noise every time we turned. We were even told that the hotel had run out of bags to put our towels in, which is a basic requirement for any hotel to have. These kinds of issues make it hard to feel comfortable and relaxed during a vacation. The food at the buffet was also very disappointing. There was almost no selection, and the quality of the food was poor. This is especially concerning given that the hotel is supposed to be a 5-star establishment. The experience was nothing like what was advertised on your website.Lastly, I was shocked to discover that the pool closes at 6pm, despite the sunset being at 9pm. This seems like a waste of resources and is frustrating for guests who want to enjoy the pool during their stay. Additionally, the staff start removing sunbeds at 4:30pm, which makes it difficult for guests to relax by the pool.Overall, I was extremely disappointed with my stay at your hotel. I hope that you take these issues seriously and take steps to improve the experience for future guests. As someone who values quality hospitality, I urge you to address these issues as soon as possible.

This has been an amazing holiday. I will be very sad to leave tomorrow. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. We have had 3 buffets a day and still haven't tried everything on offer. There is so much delicious food, something for everyone. This is a very family oriented hotel, lots of activities to keep the kids entertained. The staff who run the kids club are so good at keeping everyone busy and having fun. There are shops and restaurants nearby. A 5 minute walk to the beach front. The hotel is spotless, and the grounds beautifully maintained. We will definitely be back!

We’ll never visit all Lopesan group Hotel and never recommend these to anyone!Reception was worst. We didn’t know what the hotel offer until the last day. No one explained anything during the check-in.When we asked for a transfer to the airport, they told that we had to pay today. However, when we would pay at reception after dinner, they said "It was too late" and "Do you think what time it is?" and scoffed at us. It was terrible experience for the last night in our holidays. At check-out, they demanded to be paid the money we had already paid. The hotel itself is huge and cool design, there are many pools and they are so beautiful. Also food was quite nice. But the staff service spoils everything. I've stayed in many hotels, but I've never stayed in such a bad hotel. We will never come back.

Amazing family resort with lots of activities for children of all ages. Plenty of sun beds to relax on across the property and various pools as well.Stayed in a double room which was spacious and had all the amenities you would expect. Just the lighting may be a little on the darker side to go with the theme and mood of the resort.Breakfast had a wide spread of continental as well as local delicacies. The vegetarian “hot” food could be kept separately to avoid cross contamination as utensils were used and mixed so we avoided the beans and grilled tomatoes etc.Staff across the resort from check in till out were flawless and very attentive to any requests we had. Always smiling and happy to help.Great place to stay and would go again!!

The hotel has lots of options for kids, including two small pools with depths of 30cm and 50cm and a kids club. The big pool which is connected to two other pools has a beach feeling so if you are a family with children, this hotel has enough to keep the kids entertained. However if you are a couple, you may find better hotels around. Additionally, the food gets boring after couple of days and they can do much better with the coffee. In summary, a decent hotel to spend a week with family.

We booked this hotel due to its good reviews here. However the standard does not live up go a 5 star hotel at other places. Yes, the pool area is really nice and the building itself, but the quality of the service was mediocre at best.So start at the reception. Long queue, and most companies got welcome drink but not us. Not a big deal, but these things should not happen at a 5 star hotel. Our room wasn’t cleaned the day after we arrived. We complained in the reception, and when a cleaner finally arrived (5pm) she only made up the beds!Overall the room was okay, but not nearly five star. Mold in the roof, bad mending’s etc. plus very dark room. Some of the staff was friendly but far from all, some seemed to want to do as little work as possible and bothered. The buffet was okay but not great. Some items were overcooked, like for example the tuna filets, which could have been great with a chef that knew what he was doing. Bacon in the morning was both cold and dry, etc. long list actually. On the other hand, some items were really good.In summary, for the price tag I expected more.
Fabulous resort! The best in Meloneras! I been to a couple and I always come back here. The attention is superb, the decor luxurious and lush, impressive since you get inside. Its also very private and you can choose from 5 different pools. It might be a huge complex but you always feel like you are spoiled by yourself. Its centrally located and has parking available (€12 a day and super practical). Make sure to explore the open mall and restaurants on the beach. Finally, it’s gay friendly so feel assured you will be treated well.

It might be one of the best hotel I have ever been in. We used to love those beautiful pools and gardens. Every single employee was extremely friendly and we enjoyed various tasty buffets. The hotel is really kids friendly but for people without kids it’s sometimes annoying to have all those screaming kids around. A few separated kids free areas would be great. 😁

Revived multiple recommendations for this hotel and it didn’t disappoint. It certainly has the wow factor when you walk in. We had a very large family room with a spacious balcony which was welcomed, and it had everything you needed. The facilities are very good with its usp being the 7 pools it has. Loads of variety for the kids who really enjoyed them. Excellent entertainment for the kids as well, ranging from the kids club to foam parties. Staff were very polite and accommodating, nothing seemed to be too much hassle. There were only 2 things that prevented it from being perfect. The first is water………apart from breakfast there is no free water. Considering the heat and the fact it’s a family hotel, not having water stations is a glaring omission in my opinion. I think this should be looked at from a well-being point of view, it would at the very least increase the water intake of most kids as they usually drinking little and often rather than a whole bottle in one go.The other disappointment was the food. Personally I thought it was average with not much variation. I do appreciate that buffets are limited but simple things like the pizza was the same the whole week. I’m struggling to see how hard it would be to change simple things like this. Because of this I wouldn’t recommend going full board, I’m sure it’s cheaper but I would spend a little more by eating out at the local restaurants which are better value even with the higher prices. The kids will appreciate it as well.Overall though an excellent hotel that we would recommend……….but bed & breakfast or half board only.

It was so relaxing with the best welcome and help (when we needed to go to the hospital, finding the right restaurant, amazing places to go sightseeing, and many more) during our stay from Javier Morales Gonzalez. The moment we entered, all the pressure and stress was gone. The rooms where super clean, with a lot of space and a nice view. All the hotel employees where very kind and helpful. It would just be more convenient if the public toilet signs where shown differently/more frequently to find them faster when exploring the hotel.

The view and the ambience is what was expected and delivered more here in this resort. We booked a half pension for the stay. Only breakfast and dinner are included. For breakfast, it has a lot of variety of food and drinks but it is similar every day. For dinner, the food changes everyday and they have crepes for dessert. Drinks, however, is not included. The only thing that is disturbing is the wifi in the room. It is only easily accessible by the entrance area. For an 8 night stay, it is not ideal. There is evening show every night and it is different every day of the week. There are many pools and even a lazy river there for everyone(family friendly). From my observation, the pool in the middle is somehow where women who prefer to be topless are at.The workers are extremely friendly and welcoming. The resort smells nice and is very clean in all area. The umbrellas at the pools, they are not easy to open up. You might need to call the lifeguard to help you open up the umbrella for some shade.

My third time back. The rooms are fantastic and have everything you need, the beds are very large and super comfy too.Staff are brilliant and really can’t do enough for you. They are very accommodating and all seem to work very hard. They have numerous pools (5 in total I think) which are lovely. Surrounding the pool are sun beds and umbrellas. The food is just amazing and is very well thought out every day with lots to choose from - fussy eaters need not to worry!

Absolutely brilliant hotel with outstanding staff! We have a two year old and they are so accommodating and friendly to her, as well as us. We have travelled the world and this hotel is unique to any other. It provides beautiful grounds, great food options as well as lovely comfortable rooms. We have now been 5 times and plan to be back again this year. A special shout out to Eduardo Martin who is always so helpful , polite and informative. Highly recommend for couples and families.

One of the best hotels on the island. The hotel has a lovely design and is fun to explore. There are lots of pools and a slow river. Pools didn't seem over crowded. The service was good and the staff were all friendly. The hotel was clean and food and drink was good. Great location.

Lots of good things giong for this hotel.. pools were great, staff excellent and location great.. hotel felt a little old in places.. and the buffet menu for meals was limited - but good quality...Stayed in a number of 5* hotels in the canaries and would say others have had better menus or better rooms.. but overall this is still a very good hotel..

Excellent service, the staff was always friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. The edges of the pool area are a bit sharp and it's easy to cut yourself with them. The bathtubs are big and comfortable, though the shower is a bit small. The rooms are clean and comfortable, though not especially distinct as hotel rooms go.There were not a lot of activities organized during the weekend, and checking in can take some time if you arrive before 2pm.I heard from friends that the massage service was really good.

To start with the location of the hotel is good. The garden with very versatile flora is magnificent. On the negative side I have to point out several things which are not appropriate for a 5 star hotel. - the use of the room safe is not for free. - there is no daily water distribution in the rooms. - there is no possibility after checkout to shower and/or change clothes (apparently due to covid…). - the room keys are already blocked some time prior real checkout time. - the staff in the reception ( with one or two exceptions ) is unfriendly. You always have the feeling that they want to get rid of you as quickly as possible.

I love the Lopesan Baobab hotel. It has an amazing Pool area, the restaurants are all really good. The buffet was one of the best ones I ever had. Breakfast was also really really good. The location is close to the beach and everything else is nice and accessible. The only downfall was the noise in the rooms from the courtyard. Somehow echo traveled super bad and every door , every person talking etc. Was like it happened right in our room.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, Great service, Rooms and staff in lovely grounds.. Perfect for anyone who wants to visit the resort. It can improve, Cold nights in January, The outdoor areas could do with throws for customers enjoying the entertainment. Its too cold to sit there with nothing to keep you warm. Tea and coffee at dinner service would be great to as not everyone wants Alcohol or water with their dinner. Apart from that, this Hotel is a great 4 star hotel, not a five star unless some things like i have suggested are added. The staff are an asset to this hotel, very friendly. Victor in the food hall was brilliant 👏

My boyfriend brought me here for my 40th birthday a few Decembers ago now and, it was the best hotel either of us have ever stayed in. The staff went out of their way to make things special and, every part of our stay was so lovely we could have never left the hotel, it was so wonderful and relaxing inside and out. 🥰 The food was out of this world, with so much on offer and, so different each day, cooked to perfection. I can't wait to be there again!!! Our absolute favourite hotel experience ever!! By miles ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Avoid if you or your loved ones have any type of food intolerance!Normally I look at the allergy notes on a menu and have no problem at a resort. At Baobab not only is this not listed anywhere but things that should be safe for me to eat left me spending my whole holiday bleeding into the toilet. The closest thing to warnings were pictures of animals. When I asked reception for help I was told that while my friends eat at normal on-site restaurants I could go to the buffet with a bingo card of what might kill me so the staff could pick what I eat.The same company owns the other nice restaurants in walking distance. The local Supermarket only had snack food for me to eat.I had to leave a few days into my two week vacation, with no offer of refund. Staff blamed me for not reaching out to them better, despite their ideas being stupid and dangerous. The hotel will now reply and explain how it is acceptable to refuse to tell people with lethal food allergies what is in the food they are being server.

The pool area is awesome in many ways. Small secluded areas all over the place where you can both get sun and avoid it. The minus is that accessing the bar is a bit tricky. The rooms are very spacious and generally feel very luxurious, however we had a broken handle on one of the doors and it is still not fixed after two days which is not my expectations from a five star hotel. The interior is fantastic, especially the lobby area, it is quite different from the hundreds of other hotels that I've visited.Breakfast is also amazing, nothing to complain about there.

The food is incredible. You can tell the meat they cook in front of you is local and the part of the animal varies from meal to meal, veal, high back, entrecote, etc. As well the fruit you eat is grown locally indicated by their abnormal shapes and sour taste, not toxic gene modified fruits like in the west. Extremely good room service and perfect for families, new towels and clean up every single day. One of the best hotels I've been to, bravo 👏

Thoroughly enjoyed our week in Lopsean Baobab. So much space, which is a massive perk in this day and age. 7 swimming pools?! (by my count) staggered entrances to breakfast and dinner is a good idea. Never an issue to find a sun lounger. Lazy river is so good

10/10⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️2 week holiday in September for a family of 4 (2 babies)The staff are all so professional & friendly. From reception staff on arrival, waiting staff, pool staff to garden maintenance staff. Everyone was so friendly and polite and professional. All C19 protocol adhered to by all staff and guest. We did not see a single staff member not wearing a mask covering their mouth & nose. The hotel is impeccably clean & tidy & boasts plenty of activities / pools / walks / activities for all ages. The food is fresh & tasty but mostly in buffet form. But plenty of fresh food on offer and so many variations throughout the week. One minor criticism is the lack of English channels on the televisions in the room. When you’re away with 2 babies, you spend more time in the room then you would perhaps like when your holidaying by yourself. There are plenty of Spanish and German channels but only 2 English speaking channels, and these are both news channels. But this is more of a personal issue specific to my trip with young children. Usually I wouldn't watch tv when on my holidays.Overall, A wonderful experience and I would highly recommend.10/10

Not our first time at this hotel and I really do recommend it if you haven't been.Great location. Excellent food. Great variety of pools. Comfy spacious rooms. If it was a previous visit I would have rated it 5* however on this occasion there were a few issues which shouldn't be expected such as missing towels, shampoo/shower gel not replenished, cockroach in the room and rude staff on one occasion.

Beautiful place. Sad that most of the restaurants and bars couldn't be open because of Covid, I think it would be really nice. We booked a Junior suite, which was great, I would just like to see a few more hooks to hang bath towels and I was also missing a bin in the room. Pools are amazing, really. Better than any place I have been. The TV is very old and there are no options to watch anything besides regular TV channels, which would be nice addition since there is a curfew after 22.00, so we weren't allowed out of our rooms. The staff were always very nice and helpful. When we said the room was a bit cold, they brought a heating for our bedroom.Overall an amazing stay.

This place is unlike any other resort on the island. With the exception of the plastic animal props (bordering on theme-park decor), the rest of the complex is designed to entice its visitors to explore through its poolside paths and gardened corridors. In this sense, the resort's pools, hidden bars, cafes, and themed restaurants - all these options, are made to be explored, and not spoonfed. All staff members are great at their job. Service, communication, availability, manners. 5/5.Dem plastic animals tho.

The hotel and the pools are very nice and clean, food is really good, the whole tropical garden is wonderful.Just a few reasons why I put it on 4 stars:Rooms to the street are loud in the morning because of non stop beeping from work with waste or whatever5 stars hotel and drifting apart single beds in every room?Corona protections are overdone, no reason do disinfect a sunbedSome of the service staff is really good, a lot of are not. We got bread to start at 1 of 3 days, even when asking they forgot it againOnly one pool is properly heatedPaying for water with half board is a little bit wiredSometimes all the rules makes you feel like living in a luxury prison...

Nice and lovely African style hotel, We had a great time in Meloneras. Unfortunately Parking is paid, which is very strange in a 5 Star hotel. RIU and H10 we never had to pay for parking.Luckily NICK Meloneras helped us finding the right places to park and helped with hiring a car BEST Services.Still a good holiday though 🙂
