Central location, comfortable beds, restaurant on the top floor and a small swimming pool right on the roof. Very friendly staff and very good service. Rich breakfast!

They treated us like royalty (in the best possible sense). We were warmly welcomed and had a delightful note from the General Manager in our room. The rooms are AC-style, which means synthetic hardwood floors and modern decor. Very nice porches and functional furniture. The bed is new and in good shape. Housekeeping was professional and discrete. The pool upstairs is wonderful. Sign up for the breakfast — you’ll be glad you did. We’ll be back. Would highly recommend. Plus, you’re about a quarter mile to one of the best beaches around.

Hotel was okay for one night as it was close to the cruise terminal.Check-in was easy and friendly!Rooms and hotel itself are old and not very nice. Carpeted floor, leaky windows, old elevators (especially luggage elevator! I couldn’t use it as I was afraid of a breakdown!).Rooftop bar cannot be called bar! Closed for drinks most of the time (during breakfast, lunch and dinner - in between closed for cleaning). Employees were really unfriendly and annoyed there. Good view only from some selected window tables. Rest of the view is occupied with bar/kitchen!We cannot recommend this hotel!

Bit of a curate's egg this one. I'd stay again as the location is great, you get a balcony, the beds are comfortable, the staff are nice and the blackout curtains are highly effective. Kettle, tea, and Nespresso machine are nice touches. Breakfast isn't included but that's standard for Marriot and there are nice spots in the surrounding streets and by the nearby city beach. So why the caveat? The wifi is non-existent, and for me at least the door to the balcony took some jigging to open and close. Also the pool on the roof while nice in theory is only open from 12-6 and is small and quite cold. If they had a sauna up there it would be great.

We went for breakfast buffet only. The quality of food was super poor as well as the overall cleanliness. We got there around 0800 and there were stuff on the floor already. The selection was very small too, orange juice out of the cartons, dehydrated eggs, and ‘jamon’ that seemed so dry and old looked like old cardboard. The entire floor was not ventilated at all, not to mention no air conditioning. We were eating sweating. Waitresses were mostly polite but seemed very distant and busy taking to themselves. All this was 47.60€ and it’s ABSOLUTELY not worth the money. We just came back from Bilbao trip and the experience was a total oposite for cheaper price even. As we exited, a waitress asked us how was everything and we said not very good, the response was of course. They knew them selves the breakfast was not worth it, as well as they didn’t care at all.

I have been twice in this hotel. It is a monument, visible from far distance. It lies guite central, near the beach and the port, you have an ocean view almost from all the rooms. The last time there was a outdoor fair, so it was quite loud in the room. I had to use ear plugs to get some sleep. They should have end at 10PM. I don't know, if they did, thanks to the ear plugs, I fell asleep sooner. The best part of my stay was the breakfast. Huge variety of really delicious food. The negative sides:The radial geometry of the room lets less space for the toilet. The 3 lifts are very busy. During the checkout time I waited more than 5 minutes to get one.The reception is on the 1st floor. You have to take stairs from the street, or you can use a cargo lift, which is a little bit tricky to use. You have to keep push the button until you reach the 1st floor.

Friendly service from Alvaro in the restaurant. Huge TV screen but limited English channels, glad there's BBC english news.Lovely view from the harbour, but the noise from outside can be heard as the glass door doesn't close properly. Bathroom badly design, if you are a tall person(I'm not) you have to sit sideways. Broken toilet cover. There is a tiny lift on the left hand side of the hotel, don't carry your luggage on the stairs. I think the hotel needs an update/modernisation.

Unique looking hotel that you cant miss if you're looking the skyline of Las Palmas. Room was cleaned daily and all worked nicely. Only negative sides we're small like little noisy ac which made rattling sound so I couldnt keep that on during the nigths and breakfast menun which didnt change even one during 7 days. Otherwise I would recommend. And of course the hotel has great location.

We stayed on the 21st floor which was directly under the events place. We booked our stay here to celebrate the new year 2025. We also booked a dinner to welcome the new year which was a 5 course meal with unlimited drinks. Some observations:The room when we arrived was clean. We were excited to enjoy it until taking our first shower. The glass panel has a hole at the bottom that when you shower, the water spills on the floor of the toilet so we had to use the other towels to absorb the water everyday for 4 days until we checked out. Not what I expected from a 4 star hotel. The toilet bowl is placed in an area where If you are tall, it would be hard to fit yourself in the space available while sitting on the toilet bowl.Every first Thursday of the month, they had a jazz show so we were there on the first Thursday of January and we could hear the music and the bass guitar pumping in our room.Location was OK. I would say central though not near the beach which was fine with us. Everything is walkable anyway from oceanarium, malls, beach, and restaurants.Everyday cleaning and towels were always replaced so we were quite Ok with the leaking shower but it is just inconvenient to do it everyday. The New Year dinner was not as excellent as my husband was expecting. The drinks were great but the food was not outstanding for a meal for the price offered per person. I think they should improve this one if they want customers to return for this especially if it is a special occasion. Staff at dinner were great though. The whole building looked old from the inside and outside. It needs renovation.

Review of AC Hotel Gran CanariaAC Hotel Gran Canaria offers a good value for money, with comfortable rooms, well-equipped bathrooms, and an excellent view of the harbor. The amenities, including dental kits and clean towels, are convenient and thoughtful. Additionally, there are some lovely personal touches, such as a handwritten note from the director upon entering the room and a welcome gift, like a bottle of house wine and sweets, which make guests feel warmly welcomed. However, there are several areas where the hotel could improve to provide a more enjoyable stay.Gym FacilitiesThe gym is one of the biggest disappointments. While the cardio equipment (two steppers, two bicycles, and one treadmill) is adequate, there are no strength training machines or smaller weight plates (e.g., 2 kg, 3 kg, or 5 kg). The smallest plates available are 7.5 kg, which are impractical for many guests. A minimal investment in smaller weights would make the gym much more accessible and functional. Additionally, the gym atmosphere was poor: the temperature was set to a chilly 16°C with no option to adjust, and the loud, disruptive noise from the TV or radio—playing a Spanish program at high volume—made the experience uncomfortable. The sauna and showers were also outdated and non-functional, which was disappointing given they are advertised amenities.RestaurantThe restaurant experience was underwhelming. The atmosphere was quite loud, with the kitchen door left open, allowing noise from conversations and activity in the kitchen to filter through. The lighting felt harsh and more suited to a canteen than a cozy dining space, which detracted from the overall ambiance. On the menu, while I didn’t try any food, I requested wine and found the selection very limited—only “red” or “white” was offered by the glass. Unfortunately, the wine served was of low quality, even if reasonably priced. This lack of choice and quality made it difficult to enjoy a drink.Check-In and Membership PerksThe check-in process and treatment of loyalty perks left much to be desired. As a Platinum member, I often had to remind staff of my benefits. For instance, I wasn’t asked whether I preferred the welcome gift or points upon arrival, and I had to bring this up myself. Breakfast, which is typically included for Platinum members at AC Hotels, was not offered. Additionally, late check-out—a guaranteed benefit for my membership—was initially not confirmed. Staff told me to check back the next day, making the process unnecessarily complicated. While I was eventually granted a late check-out, my room key wasn’t updated, and it expired at noon, forcing me to return to the reception to have it refreshed.SummaryAC Hotel Gran Canaria has its positives—comfortable rooms, great views, thoughtful amenities, and warm personal touches like a handwritten note and welcome gift. However, there are significant areas for improvement. Enhancing the gym facilities, creating a more inviting restaurant atmosphere, and ensuring that loyalty perks are consistently honored would go a long way in elevating the guest experience. Attention to these details could make this hotel a much better option for travelers.

Whilst the staff are welcoming and the location favourable, this hotel badly needs investment and renovation to come close to its potential. Decor and facilities are outdated and tired throughout. The lifts are a bottleneck, due to their low capacity and slowness, so there canbe queues just to move between floors. We had breakfast on one day which was okay, standard fare of mediocre quality.Overall, it was fine, nothing was a real dealbreaker but as mentioned, this place needs to see some financial love before it starts to become truly dilapidated.

The rooms are old and smelly, we had titanium status, they gave us a regular room, we still had to wait for check-in for 1.5 hours because the lady was cleaning. Instead of checking in at 3 pm, we entered the room at 4:30 pm. We also had a New Year's Eve party for 180 euros per person. There was not even live music. The food was very bad. I think it is really not worth coming to this hotel, there are much better locations and nicer prices.

We seriously wonder how this hotel earned 4 stars. The building is old and visibly outdated, the room was worn out, and the cleanliness left much to be desired. Paying over €300 per night (without breakfast!) was definitely not worth it. What’s especially frustrating is that the pictures on the website do not reflect the current condition of the hotel at all—this feels misleading.

Great location. Received a really warm check in on arrival and the staff did seem really helpful and happy to work there. My request for my room allocation was met and I was happy with my view from floor 20 which was fantastic (the main reason I booked the hotel). However, it’s sad to see the property hasn’t been invested in many years. Any good hotel should refresh their rooms every 7-10 years at the very max. This isn’t the case here. You certainly pay for it to be much better than it is. Both bathrooms and rooms need updated. No seating or ashtray provided on the balcony which I found bizarre. My room smelled awful, either an air-con or drainage issue. I was only there for one night so didn’t complain. Only the glass door had been cleaned, when I pulled back the blinds to open the full windows to check out the view the windows were embarrassingly dirty. Pool area was cool, but again needs some work done to the buildings exterior and interiors. Unfortunately, I presume a greedy franchise owner is not willing to invest in this property, which is unique and has the potential to be something special again with the right owners or commitment to long term investment.

(max) 2 star experience in 4 star hotelMold smelling room and at least the entire 13th floor. Bathroom smelled like urine and leaked on the floor, this was fixed though after we complained. In hindsight we should have asked another room immediately.Breakfast could have been good but it was so poorly managed by the staff that it mainly made us frustrated. Half of the trays empty all the time (we did vary the time arriving to breakfast) and staff filled them occasionally one item at a time. Also you had to ask for plates, cups, cutlery every morning as there weren't everything available - or you could "steal" from tables where they were set here and there. I have been in several 3 star hotels that have a lot better breakfast and service as AC hotel GC did.Location was excellent, that's the best part. Front desk staff professional.I don't recommend this hotel, it's not worth the money.

Below ExpectationsGood location, the staff was friendly and responded to the issues they could solve. During our seven-night stay, the sheets were changed once after we requested it. The hotel has a serious humidity problem and urgently needs repairs and restoration. After a certain point, the smell made you feel sick. If I hadn't prepaid for the stay, I would have changed hotels.

I had a very disappointing experience with the AC Hotel Gran Canaria by Marriott. I initially booked a room through their website coming from Google Maps link, which defaulted to a reservation date of September 4th. I changed the date and made the reservation. However, the confirmation page still showed the original date. Confused, I called the hotel for assistance. The support representative I spoke to asked me to call back on Monday. I explained that I simply wanted to make a reservation and not resolve a problem, and requested her help in booking a room. She asked for the number of guests, and I mentioned it was for myself, my wife, and our 11-month-old twins. To my shock, she told me that the hotel policy only allows two people per room and that we would need to book two separate rooms. I questioned the logic of splitting a family with babies under one year old, but she insisted this was the rule.I found this policy unreasonable and customer service unhelpful, leading me to cancel my plans to stay at this hotel. This experience was frustrating and left a very negative impression. I expected better from a Marriott property.

From my experience here I am very impressed. Yes, the hotel seems dated compared to others but everything was near perfect. The service at the front desk was amazing, with friendly and well presented staff who really made our stay better, we were checked in early and given a better room than advertised. Our room was cleaned daily in the afternoon, and everything topped up. The bathroom was perfect size (although I have to fault the door for not only not having a lock on it but also having quite a decent gap between the door and the frame on both sides. This as well as the mirrored frame means that privacy isn’t the best). The rooftop pool was really nice, it was always quiet and there was plenty of sunbeds free. Was very relaxing compared to the beach. For €70 / night it was definitely worth it, just remember you’re not only paying for the room/service, you’re also paying for the convenience of being so close to so many local attractions, such as the museum, aquarium, shopping centre and the beach, which were all at max 10 minutes walk away.

Stayed here by chance due to diverted ✈️ however pleasantly surprised. Situated close to a lovely sandy beach with lots of retail therapy and eateries, what could one not like about this venue 😊Staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. Dinner buffet was okay, especially considering that they were not expecting a plane load of passengers at the last minute! Breakfast was good with lots of choice to satisfy any palate.Rooms were comfortable and an amazing night's rest was had. Thank you Team AC Hotel for making us feel so comfortable in light of the last minute arrival!

Our stay at the hotel was far from pleasant. Loud music disrupted our sleep from midnight until 4 in the morning. Seems there is a disco in front of the hotel. The sound isolation is bad. In addition, our stay was disappointing as the overall condition of the hotel fell short of Marriott’s usual standards. The state of the hotel was not reflective of the quality I have come to expect from Marriott establishments especially considering the cost of the room and extra cost for parking (16,50 a day).

A clean and comfortable hotel. Initial impression was poor, as I arrived with a heavy suitcase, only to find that reception is on the first floor and can only be accessed by two long stone outside staircases. I found a cargo lift behind the hotel and called it via the call button. A receptionist arrived, called the lift - but warned me that as a freight lift you have to hold down the button inside the lift throughout- - if you release the button the lift stops. After this inauspicious start, things were much better - staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms are well - equipped. Overall a very enjoyable experience, food and drink good quality and reasonably priced. Probably best avoided though if you are either disabled or carrying heavy and bulky luggage.

Reception charged my credit card £1422.76 without authorisation or signature. Paid for my stay months in advance, this charge was made 1 hour after I checked in so impossible for it to be a in hotel charge... DO NOT hand over your credit card, I've been made to feel it's my fault by the staff, who suggested every other reason other than their error "this is impossible for us to make this mistake" until they realised it was in fact their mistake. the hotel has been incredibly slow in returning my money initially sending a refund on the unauthorised transaction which because of the time that passed between being taken and returned and the exchange rate left me with a cost of £24.50, I insisted that every penny that was took is returned to me as a matter of principle due to the sarcastic and demeaning tone that I've experienced in phone calls and emails with the team. The final payment arrived and was again short due £4.10 it might seem petty but why should I incur cost due to the hotels mishandling my financial data. Completely ruined what had been a positive experience.

The only good things that I can say about this hotel is the helpful and friendly staff and the location. This hotel should not be rated as a 4 star, it's far from that considering what you r paying. I am frequent traveler and have stayed at many 4, or 5 star hotels. The rooms are small, old, mold in the bathtub, bathrooms, they have wall papers in the bathrooms considering the humidity is not a good choice. The breakfast is served on the 23rd floor, it has a great view of the city but it's to small to accommodate the number of the guests . We couldn't get in one morning because there were too many people there and we couldn't find table. Finally shout out to Eber at the front desk who was extremely helpful!

The hotel does not compare to any other AC hotel I know either in Spain or in any other country. It looks like there has been no maintenance provided for years. The a/c does not really cool down the room, the mini-fridge isn’t cold enough, the bathroom is suuuper small (I cannot figure out how a person over 170cm can shower here), the tv is like an afterthought and hence is not really aligned for someone that wants to watch from the bed. There is no furniture in the balcony. Breakfast is bad, it doesn’t look fresh or clean. Service is the best thing the hotel has to offer but it looks like they are understaffed. The restaurant could be awesome as it is in one of the higher floors but it is a missed opportunity. I concluded there is little to no investment done to this location in the last 10 years!

This hotel is in such an incredibly poor state of repair, definitely the worst out of all the Marriott hotels I stayed in. Window frame is broken and doesn't close properly, you can hear all the street noise of the passing motorway. Room door lock is broken, if you lock it it keeps making noises. The connecting door is missing a lock. AC has loose screws and is making noises. You can hear all the footsteps from the floor above, and every conversation from the hallway. Shower glass has a poor seal, making the entire floor wet. There is no free parking, the nearby garage costs 16 EUR.

I was 2 days in that hotel. View from room is amazing! Dinner and breakfast served like buffet (good taste and everybody can choose something for himself). Lunch from card (also tasty). Room are big and comfortable with fridge, TV. Located close to beach. Have swimming pool on roof, gym on 24rh floor and restaurant on 23rd floor with very nice view. People friendly and speak English. Prices are good. Only small problem with WiFi (from time to time lost signal) but when is working it is fast and in each room. Staff excellent. Liked the hotel location, but a few problems. Breakfast - hot plates for bacon etc were cold so food cold. Short on hot water for teas. Breakfast ends at 1030 prompt and the food is removed almost immediately. Also, swimming pool is on the roof. The lifts stop at floor 23 then there are 52 stairs to negotiate, so not really properly accessible.
Rooms are small. the wifi connection is poor. Glass door to the bathroom with no lock or privacy. No stools or table on the balcony and noise between Rooms and hallway. But the staff is helpful and nice Rooms are clean. 55" TV good beds. Perfect for a short business trip not vacation

Overall experience was ok but considering the price we were not amazed. We stayed for a week in the middle of january. The location was the best thing! We walked everywhere. Beach, restaurants, nearest good shopping centre (2,4km) were all in a walking distance. When we arrived almost all the corners and the edges of the wall in our room were full of dirt and dust. Air conditioning was not the best. Noises from outside were really loud. The bathroom kept all the humidity inside it and therefore there were cracks in the ceiling. Also the wallpaper in the bathroom had nasty stains on it. Toilet seat was so close to the wall so that if you are a little taller, you don’t fit to sit on the toilet properly. Bedsheets were fresh. The room did not have bathrobes or a flat iron which we would’ve liked to have. The pool area was quite small and the pool is not heated ( we visited in january). Also the ”grass” in the pool area was full on dirt.We did not eat breakfast at hotel because the price (18€/person) seemed unreasonable. We ate dinner at the hotel once and that was a 2/5 experience. The restaurant was cozy but the menu was really limited and the food was not tasty in our opinion.Restaurant staff seemed to be in a hurry (although there were not much people) and were not that polite. All the other staff (cleaners and reception) were polite and made us feel comfortable.

I have been traveling for years, and mostly rented B&B s, but this year my boyfriend wanted to go fancy .Unfortunately, this expensive hotel left me with a rash and a bad itchiness. There's cockroaches in the toilet and room. Last night we have found one in bed and couldn't sleep all night .Also, there's no extractor or ways to dry the bathroom after showering hence the humidity attracts the bugs on a month like December.Food is expensive, but at least tue staff is nice .I would not recommend it .

An old hotel in the center of the city, I think it has recently been renovated because I see some new stuff inside. It has comfortable rooms, a nice buffet breakfast on the top floor overlooking the whole of Las Palmas port and a 24 hour room service. The view from the rooms can be breathtaking if you are high enough and on the correct side of the building.

As is inherent in any tall skinny round tower building, you're pretty defined by - and limited by - the architecture. This hotel is no exception to this rule.Worse, it's location, which does lead to some great views of the mall and the harbor past the mall, is sandwiched between two narrow one way streets. It feels decidedly unwelcoming. That said the staff are great and it's very very affordable.

Fridge, coffee machine with complimentary water and coffee daily.Lovely views from the restaurant, rooftop pool and gym.The breakfast was excellent.Only a 5 minute walk to the restaurants and seafront. I would definitely stay again.

5 Stars all around! What a great hotel to stay in. The room provided was as reserved, very spacious and cozy. Bed was very comfortable, admin processes were very quick. Staff super friendly and helpful. The beach and other waterfront related activities are walking distance. There is a big mall across the street as well and a bus stop in case you want to right further for anything in particular...would definitely stay here again!

Best for us. Travelled with family member. We came back after six weeks from our previous visit. Got the best service from reception. Best regards to them who recognize. Will be back in the autumn again👍🏼

Centrally located next to Santa Catalina park and Los Canteras beach , ,5min walk to bus station.Rooms are small 25 square meters and small balcony. nice and clean. Good housekeeping 10+Nice breakfast with stunning views.Really nice staff.
Very good Marriott brand Hotel. The staff at the front desk were really helpful and friendly. I got recognize as a titanium member and got a room upgrade which was very nice. A suite with a nice view. Service is perfect, location is convenient. The restaurant is a bit weird tho, i wanted to drink a cocktail but every day, they said " no cocktails tonight"

Good hotel, with very comfortable rooms. Nice staff.Breakfast is ok, but I think it is expensive for what you get. I think it is €18, and is a cold buffet.
Nice view but a bit worn down for a marriott owned property. The shower was lukewarm at best... For almost 400 euro a night i expect better guys...

Nice hotel, well placed for the harbour and beach. The old town is quite a long way away.

Great views from the upper floors (extra cost but worth it). Rooms a bit small but somehow understandable given the shape of the building. Friendly staff, clean rooms, decent breakfast. They could add some channels in English on the TV (why RT and not CNN?).

The stay was fantastic. This is a very central location in Las Palmas, and the hotel is very noticeable from many different points in the city, so it's easy to find your way back without a map. I recommend paying a little extra for the morning breakfast, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the city early in the morning. The concierges were also very helpful, speaking fluent English and helping us order bus passes, taxis, excursion tours into the mountains, among other things. Overall, an excellent stay and we would love to return in the future!
