Amazing family resort with lots of activities for children of all ages. Plenty of sun beds to relax on across the property and various pools as well.Stayed in a double room which was spacious and had all the amenities you would expect. Just the lighting may be a little on the darker side to go with the theme and mood of the resort.Breakfast had a wide spread of continental as well as local delicacies. The vegetarian “hot” food could be kept separately to avoid cross contamination as utensils were used and mixed so we avoided the beans and grilled tomatoes etc.Staff across the resort from check in till out were flawless and very attentive to any requests we had. Always smiling and happy to help.Great place to stay and would go again!!

The hotel has lots of options for kids, including two small pools with depths of 30cm and 50cm and a kids club. The big pool which is connected to two other pools has a beach feeling so if you are a family with children, this hotel has enough to keep the kids entertained. However if you are a couple, you may find better hotels around. Additionally, the food gets boring after couple of days and they can do much better with the coffee. In summary, a decent hotel to spend a week with family.

We booked this hotel due to its good reviews here. However the standard does not live up go a 5 star hotel at other places. Yes, the pool area is really nice and the building itself, but the quality of the service was mediocre at best.So start at the reception. Long queue, and most companies got welcome drink but not us. Not a big deal, but these things should not happen at a 5 star hotel. Our room wasn’t cleaned the day after we arrived. We complained in the reception, and when a cleaner finally arrived (5pm) she only made up the beds!Overall the room was okay, but not nearly five star. Mold in the roof, bad mending’s etc. plus very dark room. Some of the staff was friendly but far from all, some seemed to want to do as little work as possible and bothered. The buffet was okay but not great. Some items were overcooked, like for example the tuna filets, which could have been great with a chef that knew what he was doing. Bacon in the morning was both cold and dry, etc. long list actually. On the other hand, some items were really good.In summary, for the price tag I expected more.

Fabulous resort! The best in Meloneras! I been to a couple and I always come back here. The attention is superb, the decor luxurious and lush, impressive since you get inside. Its also very private and you can choose from 5 different pools. It might be a huge complex but you always feel like you are spoiled by yourself. Its centrally located and has parking available (€12 a day and super practical). Make sure to explore the open mall and restaurants on the beach. Finally, it’s gay friendly so feel assured you will be treated well.

It might be one of the best hotel I have ever been in. We used to love those beautiful pools and gardens. Every single employee was extremely friendly and we enjoyed various tasty buffets. The hotel is really kids friendly but for people without kids it’s sometimes annoying to have all those screaming kids around. A few separated kids free areas would be great. 😁

Revived multiple recommendations for this hotel and it didn’t disappoint. It certainly has the wow factor when you walk in. We had a very large family room with a spacious balcony which was welcomed, and it had everything you needed. The facilities are very good with its usp being the 7 pools it has. Loads of variety for the kids who really enjoyed them. Excellent entertainment for the kids as well, ranging from the kids club to foam parties. Staff were very polite and accommodating, nothing seemed to be too much hassle. There were only 2 things that prevented it from being perfect. The first is water………apart from breakfast there is no free water. Considering the heat and the fact it’s a family hotel, not having water stations is a glaring omission in my opinion. I think this should be looked at from a well-being point of view, it would at the very least increase the water intake of most kids as they usually drinking little and often rather than a whole bottle in one go.The other disappointment was the food. Personally I thought it was average with not much variation. I do appreciate that buffets are limited but simple things like the pizza was the same the whole week. I’m struggling to see how hard it would be to change simple things like this. Because of this I wouldn’t recommend going full board, I’m sure it’s cheaper but I would spend a little more by eating out at the local restaurants which are better value even with the higher prices. The kids will appreciate it as well.Overall though an excellent hotel that we would recommend……….but bed & breakfast or half board only.

It was so relaxing with the best welcome and help (when we needed to go to the hospital, finding the right restaurant, amazing places to go sightseeing, and many more) during our stay from Javier Morales Gonzalez. The moment we entered, all the pressure and stress was gone. The rooms where super clean, with a lot of space and a nice view. All the hotel employees where very kind and helpful. It would just be more convenient if the public toilet signs where shown differently/more frequently to find them faster when exploring the hotel.

The view and the ambience is what was expected and delivered more here in this resort. We booked a half pension for the stay. Only breakfast and dinner are included. For breakfast, it has a lot of variety of food and drinks but it is similar every day. For dinner, the food changes everyday and they have crepes for dessert. Drinks, however, is not included. The only thing that is disturbing is the wifi in the room. It is only easily accessible by the entrance area. For an 8 night stay, it is not ideal. There is evening show every night and it is different every day of the week. There are many pools and even a lazy river there for everyone(family friendly). From my observation, the pool in the middle is somehow where women who prefer to be topless are at.The workers are extremely friendly and welcoming. The resort smells nice and is very clean in all area. The umbrellas at the pools, they are not easy to open up. You might need to call the lifeguard to help you open up the umbrella for some shade.

My third time back. The rooms are fantastic and have everything you need, the beds are very large and super comfy too.Staff are brilliant and really can’t do enough for you. They are very accommodating and all seem to work very hard. They have numerous pools (5 in total I think) which are lovely. Surrounding the pool are sun beds and umbrellas. The food is just amazing and is very well thought out every day with lots to choose from - fussy eaters need not to worry!

Absolutely brilliant hotel with outstanding staff! We have a two year old and they are so accommodating and friendly to her, as well as us. We have travelled the world and this hotel is unique to any other. It provides beautiful grounds, great food options as well as lovely comfortable rooms. We have now been 5 times and plan to be back again this year. A special shout out to Eduardo Martin who is always so helpful , polite and informative. Highly recommend for couples and families.

One of the best hotels on the island. The hotel has a lovely design and is fun to explore. There are lots of pools and a slow river. Pools didn't seem over crowded. The service was good and the staff were all friendly. The hotel was clean and food and drink was good. Great location.

Lots of good things giong for this hotel.. pools were great, staff excellent and location great.. hotel felt a little old in places.. and the buffet menu for meals was limited - but good quality...Stayed in a number of 5* hotels in the canaries and would say others have had better menus or better rooms.. but overall this is still a very good hotel..

Excellent service, the staff was always friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. The edges of the pool area are a bit sharp and it's easy to cut yourself with them. The bathtubs are big and comfortable, though the shower is a bit small. The rooms are clean and comfortable, though not especially distinct as hotel rooms go.There were not a lot of activities organized during the weekend, and checking in can take some time if you arrive before 2pm.I heard from friends that the massage service was really good.

To start with the location of the hotel is good. The garden with very versatile flora is magnificent. On the negative side I have to point out several things which are not appropriate for a 5 star hotel. - the use of the room safe is not for free. - there is no daily water distribution in the rooms. - there is no possibility after checkout to shower and/or change clothes (apparently due to covid…). - the room keys are already blocked some time prior real checkout time. - the staff in the reception ( with one or two exceptions ) is unfriendly. You always have the feeling that they want to get rid of you as quickly as possible.

I love the Lopesan Baobab hotel. It has an amazing Pool area, the restaurants are all really good. The buffet was one of the best ones I ever had. Breakfast was also really really good. The location is close to the beach and everything else is nice and accessible. The only downfall was the noise in the rooms from the courtyard. Somehow echo traveled super bad and every door , every person talking etc. Was like it happened right in our room.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, Great service, Rooms and staff in lovely grounds.. Perfect for anyone who wants to visit the resort. It can improve, Cold nights in January, The outdoor areas could do with throws for customers enjoying the entertainment. Its too cold to sit there with nothing to keep you warm. Tea and coffee at dinner service would be great to as not everyone wants Alcohol or water with their dinner. Apart from that, this Hotel is a great 4 star hotel, not a five star unless some things like i have suggested are added. The staff are an asset to this hotel, very friendly. Victor in the food hall was brilliant 👏

My boyfriend brought me here for my 40th birthday a few Decembers ago now and, it was the best hotel either of us have ever stayed in. The staff went out of their way to make things special and, every part of our stay was so lovely we could have never left the hotel, it was so wonderful and relaxing inside and out. 🥰 The food was out of this world, with so much on offer and, so different each day, cooked to perfection. I can't wait to be there again!!! Our absolute favourite hotel experience ever!! By miles ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Avoid if you or your loved ones have any type of food intolerance!Normally I look at the allergy notes on a menu and have no problem at a resort. At Baobab not only is this not listed anywhere but things that should be safe for me to eat left me spending my whole holiday bleeding into the toilet. The closest thing to warnings were pictures of animals. When I asked reception for help I was told that while my friends eat at normal on-site restaurants I could go to the buffet with a bingo card of what might kill me so the staff could pick what I eat.The same company owns the other nice restaurants in walking distance. The local Supermarket only had snack food for me to eat.I had to leave a few days into my two week vacation, with no offer of refund. Staff blamed me for not reaching out to them better, despite their ideas being stupid and dangerous. The hotel will now reply and explain how it is acceptable to refuse to tell people with lethal food allergies what is in the food they are being server.

The pool area is awesome in many ways. Small secluded areas all over the place where you can both get sun and avoid it. The minus is that accessing the bar is a bit tricky. The rooms are very spacious and generally feel very luxurious, however we had a broken handle on one of the doors and it is still not fixed after two days which is not my expectations from a five star hotel. The interior is fantastic, especially the lobby area, it is quite different from the hundreds of other hotels that I've visited.Breakfast is also amazing, nothing to complain about there.

The food is incredible. You can tell the meat they cook in front of you is local and the part of the animal varies from meal to meal, veal, high back, entrecote, etc. As well the fruit you eat is grown locally indicated by their abnormal shapes and sour taste, not toxic gene modified fruits like in the west. Extremely good room service and perfect for families, new towels and clean up every single day. One of the best hotels I've been to, bravo 👏

Thoroughly enjoyed our week in Lopsean Baobab. So much space, which is a massive perk in this day and age. 7 swimming pools?! (by my count) staggered entrances to breakfast and dinner is a good idea. Never an issue to find a sun lounger. Lazy river is so good

10/10⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️2 week holiday in September for a family of 4 (2 babies)The staff are all so professional & friendly. From reception staff on arrival, waiting staff, pool staff to garden maintenance staff. Everyone was so friendly and polite and professional. All C19 protocol adhered to by all staff and guest. We did not see a single staff member not wearing a mask covering their mouth & nose. The hotel is impeccably clean & tidy & boasts plenty of activities / pools / walks / activities for all ages. The food is fresh & tasty but mostly in buffet form. But plenty of fresh food on offer and so many variations throughout the week. One minor criticism is the lack of English channels on the televisions in the room. When you’re away with 2 babies, you spend more time in the room then you would perhaps like when your holidaying by yourself. There are plenty of Spanish and German channels but only 2 English speaking channels, and these are both news channels. But this is more of a personal issue specific to my trip with young children. Usually I wouldn't watch tv when on my holidays.Overall, A wonderful experience and I would highly recommend.10/10

Amazing place to stay for the week! I don’t know why this place is getting bad reviews but I can’t complain about anything… beautiful. Service is great, views are amazing and food is the best.

Not our first time at this hotel and I really do recommend it if you haven't been.Great location. Excellent food. Great variety of pools. Comfy spacious rooms. If it was a previous visit I would have rated it 5* however on this occasion there were a few issues which shouldn't be expected such as missing towels, shampoo/shower gel not replenished, cockroach in the room and rude staff on one occasion.

Absolutely incredible resort. Beautiful pools, amazing buffet breakfast and great bars. Amazing activities also at nights like pool parties and live djs. Also very child friendly and you can also arrange for babysitters.

Beautiful place. Sad that most of the restaurants and bars couldn't be open because of Covid, I think it would be really nice. We booked a Junior suite, which was great, I would just like to see a few more hooks to hang bath towels and I was also missing a bin in the room. Pools are amazing, really. Better than any place I have been. The TV is very old and there are no options to watch anything besides regular TV channels, which would be nice addition since there is a curfew after 22.00, so we weren't allowed out of our rooms. The staff were always very nice and helpful. When we said the room was a bit cold, they brought a heating for our bedroom.Overall an amazing stay.

This place is unlike any other resort on the island. With the exception of the plastic animal props (bordering on theme-park decor), the rest of the complex is designed to entice its visitors to explore through its poolside paths and gardened corridors. In this sense, the resort's pools, hidden bars, cafes, and themed restaurants - all these options, are made to be explored, and not spoonfed. All staff members are great at their job. Service, communication, availability, manners. 5/5.Dem plastic animals tho.

The hotel and the pools are very nice and clean, food is really good, the whole tropical garden is wonderful.Just a few reasons why I put it on 4 stars:Rooms to the street are loud in the morning because of non stop beeping from work with waste or whatever5 stars hotel and drifting apart single beds in every room?Corona protections are overdone, no reason do disinfect a sunbedSome of the service staff is really good, a lot of are not. We got bread to start at 1 of 3 days, even when asking they forgot it againOnly one pool is properly heatedPaying for water with half board is a little bit wiredSometimes all the rules makes you feel like living in a luxury prison...

Nice and lovely African style hotel, We had a great time in Meloneras. Unfortunately Parking is paid, which is very strange in a 5 Star hotel. RIU and H10 we never had to pay for parking.Luckily NICK Meloneras helped us finding the right places to park and helped with hiring a car BEST Services.Still a good holiday though 🙂
