Lovely location. Beautiful hotel. Comfortable bed (suite). Great shower. Breakfast good but I found it better in Lopesan Villas we stayed in last year (better coffee machines, more fruit selection). Friendly staff. Air con set so you can't adjust it lower than 22° unless specially requested but they did sort us out when we needed it. Balcony nice but could do with loungers. Great they provide pool towels. Everywhere very clean. Pools amazing! Good evening entertainment.

My stay at this five-star hotel was absolutely exceptional. The cleanliness and peaceful atmosphere made it a perfect retreat. The buffet for both breakfast and dinner had an impressive variety, offering high-quality and delicious options for every taste. The staff were incredibly professional and attentive, providing top-tier service throughout my stay. One thing to note is the hotel’s highly prestigious and classic ambiance, with an unspoken expectation of formal attire. While I appreciated the elegance, I would have preferred prior notice to dress accordingly.Overall, everything was flawless. If you’re looking for a refined and luxurious stay, this hotel is an excellent choice!

For the second year in row we had the opportunity to stay at this resort. All is very well kept and organized. The rooms are spacious and clean. The outdoor spaces are comfortable and the buffet for dinner and breakfast is full of choices and the food is acceptable. Great deal for families also because of its perfect location.

Amazing location with amazing facilities and a breathtaking view. However, the quality of the food doesn’t quite match the high standards set by the rest of the hotel. There are a lot of children, which makes some areas feel quite busy and noisy. Nights were also louder than expected, making it difficult to get uninterrupted sleep. Still, the beauty of the surroundings and the overall atmosphere make it a special place.

what can I say? If you are lucky enough to stay here - you will love it. Lots of space, palm trees, sun loungers & pools! After 18 month of illness & 8 months of cancer treatment this holiday was my repair shop. I LOVE swimming and I finally got back to it in the AMAZING lagoon infinity pool. The lady who took aqua aerobics was hilarious and worked us - so enjoyable. Thank you for a wonderful stay in the most beautiful surroundings. I did intend to have a much needed neck & shoulder massage in the spa, but being English, I didn’t want to waste a moment in the sunshine, so sadly didn’t get round to it last week. Just amazing. Staff are so friendly & helpful & the grounds are spotless. Evening entertainment is great quality - especially loved the string quartet & violinist at valentines breakfast- what a treat!

It was our baby's first birthday and we had to pay 40 euros for a cake to be delivered to the room..Rooms - sea facing rooms are nice, but some of them are so far from the lobby - a good 10 minute walk!Service - extremely poor: no baby seat for baby in room. Things wouldn't arrive from reception or room service as requested.Spa - you have to pay 44 euros a day extra!!Staff - extremely grumpy, not smiley at all. Compare this to any 5* hotel in Asia.Overall : 4/10. The decor and pools are lovely and location is spot on, but service, staff and price score very low.

Great location, awesome gardens and pools but most importantly, the food! Absolutely fantastic! Everywhere you go, there’s always great staff to support you, always knowing their field. The hotel is no doubt on the revisit list. It’s a classy 10/10.

Hotel.is just too big - 1,150 rooms. Difficult to get served (even off peak). Breakfast and dinner is help yourself buffet and absolute chaos. Failed to get a decent cup of coffee all week and meals ruined by poor service and layout. However, hotel decor and infinity pool is amazing and the location for beaches, shops and walks second to none

Booked this hotel on the recommendation of friends who had previously stayed there and it is safe to say we were not disappointed. We stayed in late November 2024 for a week and it was the perfect relaxing break. Our room overlooked the outdoor spa pool and had a sea view. We booked half board as it worked for us but next time will probably book breakfast only. This is because the buffet choice is so vast it’s easy to over indulge. Plus there seemed to be a lot of choice for restaurants both attached to the hotel and in the nearby area.Only downside of our stay was the hotel is so large it seems to take ages to get anywhere - but that is only a minor issue. One thing that does need attention is the check in process. When we arrived there were about 20 people waiting to check in and only 2 staff on, but plenty of others standing around the reception area who should have been asked to help out. The other issue is that there is no concierge service to help book trips and excursions. When I mentioned this the staff did apologise and said others had complained about the same thing. However, they did advise where we could find agents in the mall and on the seafront who took bookings. For a 5 star hotel they really should have this service. This oversight won’t stop me coming back again though as I had the most relaxing and enjoyable week at the Lopesan Costa Meloneras.

A clean, luxurious resort with a relaxing atmosphere, a perfect location, but cold pool and jacuzziWhat I liked: The room was very clean and comfortable, and the hotel felt luxurious. Most of the nightly shows from 9:00 to 10:00 PM were interesting, but the options were somewhat limited. The resort was very nice, and the location was perfect—close to the dunes, the nude beach, and many shops and restaurants. The view from the pool was very nice.Overall, it was a great resort for relaxation. What I disliked : The water temperature in the pools and jacuzzi was very low. The jacuzzi was actually cold, making it unusable. The two main pools draw water from the ocean, and both were very cold. The warmest pool was a small one with a temperature below 22°C.We could hear noise from the neighboring room, which was a bit annoying, especially in the early mornings when we were on vacation and wanted to sleep in.Breakfast was almost the same every day. We stayed for seven days, and by the end, we were really tired of the lack of variety.

Just got back from our stay, we chose the unique experience via Jet2 which meant that all the facilities were away from the main areas, I can image when the hotel is full it might creak a little, that said the staff were lovely always a smile, the food in La Toscana was a delight good gym area and the flotation chamber in the spa was quite the experience in a good way. the room was set away from the main area so quiet and really slept well no issues with quality of the room and will happily stay again...

We had a very good experience at this hotel. The grounds are very extensive, the location within Maspalomas is probably the best, the rooms were immaculately clean, and we found all the staff to be friendly and efficient. It is a VERY big hotel, although generally this was not a problem due to the size of the estate, pools, etc. But it's best to avoid breakfast at the peak time (ca. 8.45-9.45 am) as the crowds at the serving areas can be overwhelming

Beautiful hotel that is immaculately maintained inside and out. Staff are fantastic. Pools are stunning and spotless. Great breakfast buffet selection. Plenty of free activities through the day and evening. Rooms are spacious and very well appointed. Location is great with a big selection of shops, bars and restaurants also located right outside the hotel. Would definitely stay again.

We had such a great visit. Golf, beach walking, restaurants in the area all great. The best was the yoga and water aerobics with Janice. She was awesome and got the day off to a wonderful start. I knew nothing about Gran Canarias but now must return.

Stunning hotel, great service, great restaurants, beautiful pools and overall ambience is fab. The one thing they could improve is the speed of service at the hotel bar, too slow, staff look disinterested. Other than that, it is wonderful.

Overall a five star experience. Breakfast is really great. Huge choice. And served until 10:30am so plenty of time for a lie in too if you’ve had a late night. Huge main swimming pool (100m) and super “lazy river” to swim around too - with its own pool bar. The balconies don’t all have the greatest of views but that’s a minor point in an overall 5star hotel.

Fantastic hotel with beautiful gardens, spacious surroundings, and excellent food. The wow-factor is immediate upon arrival, and the exclusive atmosphere carries through the entire stay. I’ll definitely return and highly recommend it to friends and family.A few areas for improvement: breakfast was crowded, and check-in had a long queue. The reception staff seemed a bit overwhelmed; they forgot to call when my room was ready, didn’t offer the welcome drink, map, or a quick orientation of the hotel. With a bit more attention to these details, the experience could be truly seamless.

A beautiful hotel set in stunning gardens and a wonderful location right next to the beach, shops and restaurants. The food was excellent, with a great choice available for breakfast. On arrival we were given verbal directions to our room but as the hotel is so large we did get lost and it took a while to locate, it would've been good to have someone to show us where to go. There are jacuzzis on the sun terraces, but unfortunately, these are always full of unaccompanied children whose parents are nowhere to be seen, a situation which really needs addressing if only on safety grounds. The pools are amazing and the infinity pool is absolutely huge so it was never felt crowded or even busy.Overall, it was a fabulous stay, and I would definitely return and recommend it to others so long as any adults don't want to use the jacuzzi.

Been a few times, lovely hotel and great location. But, the place is just far far too busy. Big queues for breakfast and dinner every day. Worst thing, if you get to the pool at 6:30am, ALL of the sunbeds in a decent location are gone, with not a single person in sight!!

It was the 6th time we have been here. But this time the buffet system was very overcrowded and people were getting agitated as a result. Also, they have now introduced a divisive system of tiered levels of areas. On Sunday hours of 'rave' music at huge decibel levels was played all over the grounds. Inescapable and headache inducing. Redecoration has resulted in very dark feel. Excellent range of food. Excellent house band. Excellent room service.

A beautiful, clean and luxurious hotel. I would give 5 stars, only our arrival at the hotel was not great. When we stepped off our coach, the concierge didn't interact with us or acknowledge us. We had to pull our suitcases to reception, where we didn't receive our welcome drink nor any assistance with our luggage. It's a big hotel and we found it difficult to locate our room by ourselves. Bit a great first impression.Apart from that, great food and a beautiful location. We were so happy we booked the Unique service. We didn't have to "fight" for sunbeds by putting towels down at 8am.

The bar and spa areas are fantastic and worth a visit even if you're not staying at the hotel. A full massage will set you back 73Euros for an hour. The lobby is breathtaking and is what you would expect for a five star resort.

We spent a week in this hotel with our 4-year-old child. There weren't many activities available for kids, and the kids club and disco had limited hours. Despite that, everything else was fantastic, especially the food, which was some of the best we've had on a vacation. I would highly recommend this place to adults without children. The evening entertainment was also outstanding.

During my recent stay at Lopesan for 12 nights in August 2024, my family had an absolutely amazing experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home. The hotel itself is stunning, with beautiful architecture and lush gardens that create a relaxing atmosphere. The entire hotel was well-shaded and air-conditioned, which made our stay incredibly comfortable. I never once felt overheated or sweaty; in fact, I have never been so relaxed during a holiday. Our room was spacious enough for the three of us, clean, and well-equipped, offering a perfect retreat after a day of fun. However, one downside was the lack of different images for room upgrades when booking through Jet2Holidays. All the room images looked the same, and I would have gladly paid more if I had known what I was actually getting. I hope Jet2Holidays can improve this, and maybe next year we can book again and elevate the experience.Dining options were plentiful, with a variety of delicious meals available at the buffet and à la carte restaurants. Each meal was a delight, and the quality of food exceeded our expectations. The queues that I read about in other reviews were almost non-existent.The amenities were top-notch, especially the pools, which were perfect for lounging and enjoying the sun. We appreciated the cleanliness and maintenance of the facilities throughout our stay.Overall, I would highly recommend Lopesan Gran Canaria to anyone looking for a fantastic holiday experience. Everything about our stay was top-notch, and I can't wait to return! As someone who is almost 50 years old and has been on many holidays, I can confidently say this place was the best for me so far.

I've been here for a week - half board (breakfast + dinners).Drinks were cheap and OK (prices like in Warsaw, Poland). The room was cleaned every day. It was a superior experience (can't expect more). The largest pool was great and not crowded (usually), and the second largest pool was crowded (river) because it was a great experience for kids - overall experience 10/10.Food was OK, some things were 10/10, some of them (sushi, pizza) was just good enough, but overall, you can feed yourself every day with new stuff and enjoy the meal.Interiors are old but beautiful.Stuff was amazing, I felt as a guest, not as an intruder.Neighborhood gives premium vibes 🙂

A truly amazing experience every time. As a very happy repeat customer of over 17 years, this wonderful resort only gets better. It feels like our second home and we’ve got to know so many of the lovely staff. Could not recommend this more highly. Particular note must go to the amazing Loly on the Arenal bar. She is quite simply amazing. She runs a very tight ship with lovely staff in a kind professional manner. Really makes our vacation as memorable as always. Looking forward to seeing the entire team later in the year when we return.

As a70yr old lady who’s travelled the world I can’t I didn’t read the reviews I was blown away by the look of the hotel. My children treated me for my 70th each day I got up hoping for a better day. It was bedlam in the restaurant. Being pushed around.!so skipped breakfast. Each day headed to each pool & sun beds there was none. Sat on a bench by the beach. I agree with a lot of reviews no coffee in room & paying for water for with your meal. Extortion. Price of the holiday. . I felt I didn’t exist. The aqua is what swung the holiday. Which didn’t happen as staff said there was none. I have stayed at Gloria Palace I wish I’d done it again

Great hotel, comfortable beautiful rooms, AMAZING breakfast, great environment, you have everything you need and we love me the pools. Lot of entertainment, and staff was very friendly everywhere. The hotel is expensive but it is a 5 stars hotel in Gran Canaria and prices are overall in that range. We paid good money but we got great service and hotel in return. Our only small complain would be the bug cafeteria in the pool. Staff was not rude but the could be more friendly, and they need to remain more polite in public, especially the manager who was addressing the staff not in the best way in front of the clients. Not the vibes you want in a 5 stars hotel. Also the price in the cafeteria was quite high, but you can expect this in the pool of a luxury hotel.

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. The luxury is evident at all levels from the moment your bags are taken to your room until you leave. The rooms we had were spacious and very clean with a nice balcony to watch the evening sun. The air conditioning was very comfortable and everything was spotless, we liked that we could choose the time of cleaning to be more in the afternoon as we like to come back to the room to freshen up after breakfast. The big thing about this hotel are the pools, there are so many of them that there is something for everyone, if you like entertainment, music, playing with a ball, a bar you got it at the pool bar near the lazy river, if you like quiet lounging, a dip in the pool you can do that in the pool on the side of the hotel, and all the other pools and if you're a Unique member they have their own pool. And then there's the infinity pool, a great experience to look out over the ocean from this enormous pool.Breakfast is very diverse and everything fresh and delicious, we did not experience any lines and always had a quiet table. The staff is very helpful and courteous. The hotel is big and most hallways look the same, I admit using my phone GPS to find my way in the beginning 😀We'll be back.

LUSH PARADISEI recently had the pleasure of staying at Lopesan Costa Meloneras, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by the warm and friendly staff who made the check-in process seamless and welcoming. The culinary experience at this resort is nothing short of excellent. Each meal was a delightful journey of flavors, with a wide variety of dishes that catered to all tastes. The freshness and quality of the ingredients were evident, making every dining experience memorable. The pools at the hotel are spectacular, offering a perfect oasis for relaxation. Whether you prefer lounging by the poolside or taking a refreshing swim, the beautifully designed pool areas provide the ideal setting for both.Adding to the charm of this hotel is its proximity to a stunning beach. Just a short walk away, the beach is a beautiful place to unwind and soak in the natural beauty of the area.Overall, Lopesan Costa Meloneras is a fantastic destination that offers excellent food, amazing pools, and exceptional staff service. Combined with the nearby beautiful beach, it makes for an unforgettable stay. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing getaway.

Lovely hotel with a great choice of different restaurants. Room was air conditioned with additional ceiling fan and bed was huge and very comfortable. My only criticism was no bath, only a shower in the bathroom, although the shower was very good and very spacious.6 different swimming pools, one a splash park for younger children. The pools are all about 1.2m deep with one being 1.35m deep, so none are particularly deep but are all very very warm!!Typically you have to be up early to secure a poolside sunbed but there are loads of beds available so you should be able to find some even if you like to stay in bed a bit later! Lots of cover from the sun if you don't want to spend all day burning yourself.Staff on reception all spoke very good English and were extremely helpful and friendly. All the waiters and bar staff were all also very friendly.Transfer time from the airport was under 30 minutes and the motorway runs all along the coastline giving lovely views of the ocean. Highly recommended this hotel.

Honestly one of the best holiday experiences I've ever had. A genuinely friendly and helpful staff, amazing swimming pools and bars, fantastic food and convenient location.Staff: there's actually lots of staff and they seem to be able to help with whatever you need even if it's not their department.Swimming pools: amazing. There's a tonne of bars everywhere too, including one serving drinks as you sit in the water.Food: an insane buffet-style restaurant. The amount of food options is great. The other restaurants are also very very good. Two things that were annoying was the long queues (I'm not sure if the hotel could actually do something about that) and little to no vegan options. It's not enough to put a vegan sign next to cucumbers. Also chicken isn't vegan. And neither is cheese:)Location: if you have a car, pretty much everything is close to the hotel. But there's also a very nice beach boardwalk right outside the hotel with many shops and restaurants. On a separate location note, there is no beach at the hotel. There's one in close proximity but it really doesn't compare to other beaches on the island. So probably best to rent a car.One thing that perhaps could have been better was parking. It was a €16 per day (€160 for our trip). It would make sense for the car park to be free for the guests that are already paying quite a bit. If not free then something substantially lower than for those who aren't hotel guests.Overall - amazing. There are small things that could be improved but that's bringing the experience from a 9.5 to a 10

The hotel, gardens and pools are amazing. The staff are great, really welcoming and friendly. A few issues, we were on the 3rd floor and one of the two lifts wasn't working throughout our stay, which meant long queues at peak times. Tea bags were provided in the room but not coffee sachets. The milk was not refreshed and we had to go and buy some. The buffet breakfast and dinner were really stressful, far too busy and not a relaxing experience, meal times would be better if they were staggered.

Wow! Amazing hotel and views. The beach, shopping and restaurants are as nearby or as far away as you like. Our room was lovely, we had a terrace which came with 2 sunbeds, a table and 2 chairs. Breakfast if you went after 9 could be a little busy, but not the end of the world and great choices too. Plenty of well kept pools to chose from. We arrived home yesterday and have already booked to come back next year!

Great run hotel. Nice pools, good quality of food. BUT stay away from the coffee machines. Coffee in this hotel is awful - it is effectifly instant coffee. Whoever in management has decided to buy those machines should be forced to drink this for the rest of their lives.

"Luxury is not only what you see, it is also what you feel." I have heard that Costa Meloneras is at the pinnacle of luxury, however, my own experience there astonished me even more. The very best way and place to end up our holidays. The guy at the concierge told us there would be a nice party at the roof terrace @ Blue Merlin- Lopesan Costa Meloneras and we didn't hesitate a second to get a booking. We reserved our table in the sushi restaurant and from the very second we arrived there the experience was amazing. Great food and drinks 🍸 but the highlight was the prefect and very professional customer service from Asaray. I needed to ask her name as she truly deserves to be mentioned .Many thanks Asaray, you helped having an excellent experience. Wouldn't hesitate a second to return.

Our first time. We had an amazing (short) week at Lopesan Costa Meloneras. It all adds up. The views, the pool, the terraces, the restaurants. Everything was at the level you expect (and hope) it. A big thank you to Louis who runs the pool bar with class and joy. Another thank you to the lady from PR who got my shoe out of the palm tree (don’t ask). For sure we will be back next year. Our second time staying here, this time with a 6month old. Faultless service and facilities. Good choice of pools and eateries. All staff including domestic team and waiters are very helpful and approachable. One improvement would be for people with allergies at the buffet - a touchscreen panel where someone could search by allergen would be really helpful to see which dishes at which stations were suitable.Special thanks from baby Lillia to Carmen who was one of the waitresses at dinner service on 1 day and breakfast for 2 days of our days - extremely helpful, kind and a real asset to the hotel.

Really nice deco inside and outside, great performance in the evening, nice pools. Great location. Friendly service. And very clean rooms with daily cleaning service. Only thing they need to improve is handling allergies. All the food should be labelled for ingredients clearly to avoid confusion especially most staff don’t speak English. Great value for money.

Good and beautiful hotel, we did not like that we could not connect with the television in the room. The unique service was what we liked the most.Zoilo or Loizo (the one who works in Unique pool bar is the best!!!) he made our holiday very nice:) 🙂 :)b

Breakfast and diner is very chaotic, not enough space for the amount of people which makes it feel crowded and as if you are being pushed around. Definitely just 2 stars there, the food was fine. Not great, not bad, just fine. It's nice to have a hotel with a spa, to bad the hotel doesn't inform you that you have to make a reservation. So great you have a spa, but very disappointing we couldn't make use of it. Felt like false advertising.Hotel isn't bad but for the price and what they advertise, it still feels like a disappointment, not what we expected to pay for. We will not go here again.

Outstanding at every angle. The staff are lovely and attentive, from reception, cleaners to concierge! The only criticism is that the minibar and free waters are not topped up daily, so I often found myself without beverages. The hotel is HUGE, and nobody is assigned to you on arrival to show you around or lead you to your room - you’re just given a map! Lots of swimming pools, food options, tennis courts, a gym etc. and there is an entrance / exit from the beach side too. The dinner buffet is incredible, and I would highly recommend you op in for this. So many options and lots of diversity.

I am only giving this hotel three stars because:We didn’t like the loud live music playing outside until like 23:00-00:00. It is very annoying, especially if you don’t like the songs. Closing the balcony door doesn’t help. Also, we didn’t get a chance to visit the spa, because it was fully booked during our whole 3 days stay. Why do they let day guests to visit the spa then? And then I, as a person who paid €€€ for this hotel, don’t have any priority.Besides that, we felt like the employee who checked us in was a bit rude, because we didn’t receive a single smile and her overall attitude was kinda unwelcoming.I also recommend having a breakfast early, because the breakfast area can get very very crowded after 9am.Also the water in the pool is pretty cold. So we ended up choosing this hotel because it has spa and a big pool and then the spa is unavailable and the pool is cold 🤷♀️On the other hand, hotel facilities are nice, everything is clean and the location is very good

Looks and feel luxurious. Ocean front just 5mins walk with high end shops and reasonably priced restaurants. In the hotel you have live entertainment every evening, rooms are clean and they have spa, gym and 6 beautiful pools. My days… if you book here your rest is guaranteed.

Lovely hotel, lobby smells gorgeous.Breakfast was good and had a decent variety but can get busy from about 9am.Beds were amazing and so comfortable. Me and my partner slept really well all week.Great location, easy to walk to numerous restaurants and about a 10 minute taxi into Maspalomoas which was about 10 euros. The only slight criticism was that there was a lot of Europeans hogging sun beds by placing towels. I threw some towels off after I witnessed no one had sat there for over an hour and got verbally shouted at by a German man.

Arrived on 070124 for a two week stay. First indication was good nice room lovely bed, brilliant shower. The hotel was darker than you expect, we could have been mugged on our walk to the diner, you could not see a figure in front unless you were very close. The diner itself was very dark the occasional table under a light were an exception. The real disappointment however was the food area and the food itself. Very narrow for the number of people it was serving, Hundreds of plates lined on open shelves all of which stone cold.Quality of food especially the meat was terrible, personally l could not finish my main course of meats on the first three nights, l had thought that if the meat looked too good to be true, it was. On the fourth night l called the restaurant manager in to show him my chicken, which l was once again throwing out, he called two or three other staff members and all declared it unfit to eat. Sad to say it didn’t improve and by the end of the holiday l had completely lost my appetite. We have been coming to the Canaries 30 years and this is our first holiday in a 5 star hotel, this hotel if stood against the 3 and 4 star hotels we have stopped at some 50/60 times in this time, would be way down the list.Thank youBarry Allard

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, pool areas very busy so we preferred going to the beach, which is nearby. Great location. Only thing I would say I was disappointed in was the air con in the room, it didn’t cool the room.

Overall really lovely. We had a supreme sea view room which we enjoyed very much. Considerations for anyone booking… (were not deal breakers for us but might be for others) air con is limited to 22 Celsius minimum, no coffee options in room, rooms facing the plaza will be noisy with music 8pm - 11pm (I needed earplugs and noise cancelling headphones to block the noise) adding premium plus is a bit of a con because the restaurants included often book up and it’s not easy to get slots. That all said, the room was clean and comfortable. I thought the staff were friendly and professional. It’s a big operation so not all staff know all things. The buffet was more than good enough for me. Great variety of foods and treats. Manage expectations… it’s not a bespoke boutique 5star. It’s a huge venue hosting thousands. It does the job for me. In the grand scheme of things it is an absolute privilege in life to spend time in places like this. Hopefully we will be back next year 🙂

Pros-Beautiful hotel in a perfect location, sea and lighthouse view from suites is just perfect-Excellent breakfast-Walking distance from loads of restaurantsCons-Hard rock beds-No bathtubs, pointless immense shower spaces-Sound isolation not perfect, light sleepers will have issues-Balcony too small to move sunbeds-Pool half heated-Jacuzzi not heated-Rooftop pools ice coldAll in all not worth the price, especially not heating the pools is unbelievable for a 5star hotel. Therefore when it's too windy -which happens often- you won't be able to swim anywhere.

Beautiful resort, relaxed atmosphere, central location, nice and clean rooms, well kept gardens and many different pools and pool areas to choose from, with or without shade. You can sunbathe amongst plenty of people by the huge infinity pool with an artificial beach, or you can find your own beautiful, private and secluded spot somewhere around the big island that you can swim around. The biggest pools are a bit cold, but that’s understandable because of their huge size. If you first start with the smaller and not so cold pool, you can acclimate before going into the big and cold pools. If you want to have lunch or dinner outside the resort, you can choose between the busy beachfront or the relaxed, nice and reasonably priced restaurants just across the street from the main entrance. It’s expensive but worth the cost, if you want quality and not pretentiousness.

Great hotel, lots of space for everyone. Yes it’s busy, but it’s how you deal with that which will make a difference to your holiday. Personally I think the restaurant is too small for the size of the hotel, so we ate out each night instead, which was a much nicer experience. Everyone that complains about the restaurant being a free-for-all is quite right, there’s just no organisation, and people push in front of others. The sunbeds are an issue, but if you go down before 9am then you will be fine. Other than that, this hotel is in a perfect location and is a great holiday.

The location is perfect. Better than Lopesan Baobab. The shower gel smells so freaking good, it’s unbelievable. I always buy some bottles at the reception for at home. The food at the restaurant is fine, but it depends on the day. The ‘sand’ and the paths next to the pool can be a little painful for a week. So I always wear sneakers. There is a big club under the casino (it took me 4 years to notice). Pro tip: Don’t sit on the edge of the infinity pool.

Our vacation here was quite good. Loved the huge pool overlooking the ocean, almost always there was a corner of the pool that was in the shade, which was nice. Sunbeds are not easy to get unless you’re going to the pool before 10 a.m.The buffet was actually quite alright, almost every night there was something that tasted good. Also nice with the fruit bar, but unfortunately some evenings it was not very rich. Breakfast is a bit boring, especially if you’re not into all the processed foods, but still bearable.Close to the beach with many good lunch options (out top choice was Velero Casa Antonio).Kids club has some fun options but it’s not like they will babysit your child 24/7.All in all, we were looking for a place to relax and not think about basic stuff, and this is what we found here.

Rooms good, would be much improved if there was a little sink downstairs. Bit of a pain going upstairs to wash out cups after having a drink.Great staffI bit far out, but good free transport, and taxis very cheap, and ready available

Awesome hotel and staff. It's a huge hotel complex, but it has been designed in a way that you never feel part of a crowd. The pools are fantastic and the Gym offers more options to get moving. You might need that as there are many good options for dinner and lunch, a great breakfast buffet.Staff is friendly and professional wherever you go.Strongly recommend the Spa. Book asap the services are in high demand.Really enjoyed my week at the Lopesan

The hotel is great, it's a great choice for relaxation. The premises are new and there's a big range of places to relax. They offer various pools, so the guests are not concentrated in one place only. There's enough comfortable sun beds for everyone and the hotel offers a great choice of activities both during the day and evening. In terms of the food, there's a great variety in the buffet, so it wasn't repeatable at all. The only thing is that we were supposed to get 2 dinners a-la-carte but when we wanted to book that on our 3rd day of the stay, it was all reserved, so we could not experience that at all. Apart from that, there was no water available at dinner (only at extra charge)

Lovely hotel, highlights were the Rio pool circuit, pool bar, daily activities, the great buffet. We didn't feel like leaving the hotel.Service from staff was sub-par, would only get good service after arguing our case. Not sure if it's because of bias towards brown skin, or it's the standard on the island.

I've been to a good few hotels and this one is #1 just the now. We stayed in a Seaview room looking onto the sea. Breakfast was ok, it can get a bit busy so I'd get down early. If you're expecting a full English or Scottish breakfast, then you're not going to get that here, their pastry section was amazing. I read reviews before I came advising there were not enough sunbeds, however this is not true. There are lots of sunbeds to choose from, even at 12pm we always got 2 sunbeds together. Albeit they may not have been beside the lazy river pool nor the infinity pool, however if you are willing to walk the 30seconds to a pool then you will have no trouble with sunbeds. Hotel room was spotlessly clean, maid was in everyday. There was also always somebody cleaning the hotel, outside and in. Entertainment at nighttime was also a plus, from half 8 until 11 there was either a band, magician, circus show or Spanish dancers. Although if you want a seat for this outside you will need to be early as it can get quite busy. We spent our last day in the spa, €40 for hotel guests and you can spend 4 hours in there. The best spa I have ever been to. 12 different experiences and you can finish it off by lounging in the sun by one of the spa's pools. Overall an amazing week spent here and we will definitely return in the future

We enjoyed an absolutely amazing stay at Lopesan Costa Meloneras. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, with a great variety of things to do on-site such as gorgeous swimming pools, amazing food and many other activities you can do while you're there. We really enjoyed the variety of the swimming pools and spent much of our days there. We had the bed and breakfast option, and the breakfasts were fantastic. We also tried the evening buffet one evening which was also delicious. The room was amazing, and it was made up amazingly by housekeeping staff.Thoroughly recommend to anyone considering a holiday in Maspolomas! It is situated right by Maspolomas beach which was also beautiful.Absolutely great value for money for all that you get included in your bookings!Transport links were also great and buses were a very reasonable price.

Have just returned from a fantastic week in this excellent hotel. On arrival i was pleasantly surprised with just how nice the hotel was and how friendly other guests were. On check in we were told that we had missed the last slots in the restaurant so food had been left in our room. Our room was very pleasant with an excellent view looking over the gym and spas pool area. There is a stocked mini bar, safe and dressing gowns. The whole hotel is incredibly nice with majority of the staff being pleasant and helpful. The location is excellent but a little quiet out front at night. The buffet restaurant was very stylish and the food was always good with plenty of choice. The main pool bar serves excellent food too. It's very close to the beach. The hotel gym is great with lots of equipment and plenty of space. The hotel grounds are constantly being tended to which keeps the place looking good. The main pool area does get busy with people reserving loungers but on one occasion a member of staff came and removed them and left a note regarding the rules. I would recommend it highly and do plan to return next year. The cat that hangs around the pool is also very friendly once it gets used to you.

You’re not a guest - just a number.Waiting very long to check in, waiting in line for your breakfast, waiting at the buffet, searching endlessly for a sunbed, waiting 30 minutes to be seated at the square after diner. And of course guests laying their towels on the sunbeds in the morning without using their “reserved” sunbeds. Waiting, waiting and waiting: that’s your stay at this hotel. The architecture is amazing, the housekeeping is great and rooms are good. Also, the pools are nicely done. But there are just simply too many “guests” to provide a proper standard. Also, 50% of the restaurant/bar staff is not friendly and sometimes even rude (unless you’re Spanish: then the staff is always friendlier).Exception is the staff at the SPA. They’re friendly, helpful and professional.I travel a lot for my work and I must say that this hotel does not meet the standards in perspective of service and hospitality that I am used to from most 4-5 star hotel.I can imagine that if you’re into the whole “all-inclusive” concept and are travelling with children and don’t mind being treated like cattle from time to time, that you’d love this hotel. We were most certainly happy that we didn’t book all-inclusive and that we could escape the hotel for lunch and diner. Also, the cockroaches at the square were not a positive impression. To conclude: beautiful hotel with a lot of potential and great facilities, but way too crowded and impersonal. This hotel is just another industrial mass-tourism revenue model.R. Nelis

Blue Marlin beach club on top of Faro hotel is just utterly insane. We always visit on a Sunday and have the brunch with the resident DJ playing his dance tunes all day from 1pm until midnight. Food service and cocktails 🍹 are all fantastic. Location is amazing the views are incredible. The manager is a fabulous man !! Nothing is too much trouble for him. My only suggestion would be is to have an electric point in the ladies bathroom so us ladies can do our hair going from day to night time. This place is awesome 😎 age range is 20s to 60s …… enjoy fellow dance music lovers 🥂🍾🙌🏽💃🏾🕺🏾

Amazing resort, breathtaking numerous swimming pools and the views onto the Atlantic Ocean. Our room was spacious and modern looking, the place was clean in general and well looked after. The only thing they should improve is quality of food in the diner buffet. The food was really nice in the Italian restaurant which is part of the resort, however quite pricey. In general, however, we'd stat again, but without half board most likely

It's "grand", as we say in Ireland, meaning it's ok. They couldn't give us interconnected rooms despite multiple requests in advance. For what is apparently a 5 star hotel, they have a very strange inability to provide any service above and beyond pure standard, self service, you get what you get and don't get upset. You get nothing beyond what's available. Don't ask for anything special, they don't care. 5 star? Ah come on. A decent 4-star, well maintained, nicely constructed hotel building with a big high ceiling lobby. Very little in the vicinity of the hotel apart from a really nice beach and a promenade. Ultimately, it's a bit out of the way. Parking is a bloody nightmare. The big pool is nice. The buffet food is decent. The water scam at dinner is very transparent. I liked it overall but they could pull the finger out and make you feel like you're more welcome, instead of just feeling like you're some type of nuisance invading their space for a week.

Unforgettable, amazing experience, a very special place! The hotel has a lot of character, a lot of attention to detail, magnificent architecture and well maintained gardens and pools. I cannot rate this hotel highly enough, we felt very special the moment we stepped in! Incredibile vibe! Fantastic location and excellent customer service provided by the most friendly and attentive staff! We will definitely return!

This is a truly fantastic hotel. It is huge with many guests, but the layout is very clever so that even in the main hotel areas there are small separate tables and meeting points. There are several pools which take a good walk to discover, and the hotel is absolutely SPOTLESS. I have not seen a single piece of litter and staff are clearly proud of their work.Despite all of the above the bars are very reasonably priced (anyone who is used to UK city prices will be pleasantly surprised). The food at the buffet is a huge range and continually prepared freshly by the chefs. It’s a very high standard and although the restaurant is large the buffet is manageable even at peak times. This is a level above usual hotels and you will not be disappointed.

The pools here are so amazing along with the service provided by the outside staff. They are very kind and patient- I visited multiple times throughout 2018-2019. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the food was absolutely delicious and the hotel is located right next to the Maspalomas walkway, which connects it to the beach and other restaurant. The hotel is very beautiful, clean, organized and spacious. A very luxurious and amazing hotel at affordable prices. The experience is wonderful, and often times there are events outside such as live music and performers, providing entertainment. The spa here is beyond amazing and is one of the best spas I have ever been to. I had planned on returning 2020, yet my plans were cancelled by the Pandemic.

Definitely as beautiful as in the photos. Make sure to take time to explore the resort, its many pools and the shopping center. If I’m ever here again I would definitely book a spa experience. Also don’t skip the online check-in otherwise you’re in for a long wait.

Absolutely amazing hotel, staff are always very friendly and it's a very clean and safe hotel.Located looking right at the sea-front from the pool.We have stayed at this hotel for the past two years, and we are looking to rebook for next year already.Breakfast has a good selection they even offer champagne, but it can be very busy trying to manoeuvre around the food service area.

The hotel is a dream, but unfortunately completely overcrowded. The rooms are comfortable, the garden is very well maintained, there are many pools, the largest of which could also pass as a small lake. The food is okay. The problem is that there are literally thousands of guests who are always bumping into each other everywhere; the garden is huge, but the sun loungers are tightly packed together and, although prohibited, are already "reserved" with towels early in the morning. Two complaints about this yielded nothing. The feeding of the crowds is done in waves, at check-in you are assigned times when you can have breakfast and dinner. Nevertheless, there are always long queues in front of the restaurant and unkind crowds at the buffet. Relaxation in the garden suffers due to the constant noise and density. Only a few places offer sea view. Artificial lawn... Overall, not a 5 star experience.

Came with the family and booked two rooms for a week. By far the best family vacation we have been on. Everything was perfect. The service is amazing, the cleaning crew for the rooms are super friendly and do a fantastic job. The wait staff at the restaurants/buffet are incredible, always super friendly and providing baby chairs for my kids. We are already planning when we can come back again. Thank you very much for the wonderful memories that my family will have for a lifetime.

Where should I start. The hotel is absolutely stunning. The staff, the food, the landscaping, the pools and everything else. The area is also nice and clean with a lot of shops.I would also like to mention the splendid service at the hotel. Our 20mo son fell and hit his head on our last day at the hotel. We had to go to the hospital, and arrived quite late at the hotel that night. The hotel manager arranged dinner for us, and gave our baby a plush toy, something we found very convenient and appreciated a lot! They also called us several times to check up on him.I have never ever experienced hospitality and kindness like this in any hotel. I can assure you that this was our first, but definitely not our last visit to Lopesan Costa Meloneras.Thank you for making one of the best holidays ever.

Excellent location, great rooms, modern and clean. Cleaning service is good, the buffet is the best we've had and especially at this size, and the staff is extremely nice and helpful.Stuff to pay attention to:- This place is huge, with tons of people. We like it but it's not for everyone.- Plan your dinners ahead, restaurants get fully booked quickly

This Hotel is luxurious, the staff are so helpful and the dining choices are plentiful. There's the added bonus of the Spa and Casino. The beach with Lighthouse and promenade is a busy area that accommodates luxury shops and restaurants. The hotel resort has several swimming pools and lounge areas that are well maintained. The garden Trees provide sheltered areas for the sun shy and the beautiful smell of Jasmine at night relaxes your senses. The temperature over the Christmas holiday was 26° and sunny everyday, it was stormy one night and cloudy the next day but mostly pleasant. I would stay here again for a winter break.

It’s definitely a good hotel but not really the 5 stars it claims. Run by the management to make life easier for themselves to some extent. For example, we booked a family trip of 14 people. When we come for evening dinner, it’s obviously hard to find enough table space for 14 folks and we were having to stand around waiting, so we proposed that we booked a specific time for them to have a table ready for us. But the management rules don’t allow this! So much for having a customer focus.Or another example, I went to use the gym at 7:30am. But it only opens at 9am. Customer focus missing again.Small things, I know, but I’m comparing my expectations versus a claim of a 5 star hotel.Currently looking for a sun bed at 10am and I count over 25 sun beds here in the sun that people have “reserved” with towels but not a single person in sight using them. Again, not my idea of a 5 star experience. Just needs better managementI’m sure we will have a wonderful time here. Just small irritations along the way.

This hotel is just gorgeous! We spent 1/2 day at the spa downstairs and wow, It was a treat! They have over 12 different spa rooms so you feel really relaxed after spending time here. You have to call to make a reservation in advance. If you want to use the spa and it costs 45€ per person to get in. If you are a spa person or looking for a spa on the island, this place is it! They have a body shampoo in the shower and some complementary water and coffee in the spa area.

Absolutely the best place we have been too for a long time. Kids liked the pool as it is around 4 and a half feet to five feet deep. So they felt comfortable swimming farther out and could still stand in case they wanted to. By the way, farther out in this pool really means that as it is about 100 to 120 meters in length. For me the best part is the Starbucks location right at the hotel. I am a coffee addict 🙂 and absolutely love Starbucks. In our opinion the only thing that would make this place better is if it was free……just kidding. There is absolutely nothing they should change, it is a perfect little paradise.

The hotel and staff is truly amazing! It was one of the best hotels we ever stayed in and the price per night is truly amazing for what you get! This place was absolutely first class. The only reason I have dropped one star on the rooms is that you can hear your higher and lower neighbours moving their chairs around on their balconies. All other aspects of the rooms were excellent. If they just fitted silencing material to the bottom of the chairs and tables on the balconies it would be 100%. (I am totally nitpicking here!)I wholeheartedly recommend this resort.

Amazing resort with top service and facilities! Everything is well thought out and the breakfast buffet is wonderful, just get up early to avoid the crowds. Our room was clean and very comfortable with a balcony overlooking the Lucy landscaping and the lazy River pool. At night they have entertainment in the main plaza which is beautiful and the rooms are sound proof so you are not disturbed by the sound

A truly amazing resort with something for everyone. Palatial building and lobby. Expansive well manicured grounds and environs. Immaculate pools. Close to amenities, if you needed any, some high end shops. Live entertainment. Food is to die for, and perhaps the layout of those 13 or so stations can be finessed to reduce queues at the most in demand.

Had a great time staying here. The rooms are comfortable and clean.Besides, the resort has a lot to offer: tennis, padel, gym (opens a bit late, 09:00), spa and more. The pools are very unique. Also the boulevard outside is directly connected to the resort and has some nice restaurants. The food is so so. The breakfast buffet doesn’t offer a lot of different options and is the same every day. In the evening, the buffet is different every time, but we didn’t enjoy it every day.In general, we had a great time on the island. Would recommend to rent a car to also see some other spots and nice beaches. You can park the car at the hotel for €16 a day.I’d definitely come back to the hotel, but with breakfast only.

If it is luxury, great service, delicious food and amazing view of the sea you are searching from your vacation…. Stop researching…. You found the place for you! This is a lovely hotel in a great location. The rooms are large and modern, the pools and spa are lovely, everything is very clean, and the evening entertainment is good fun. However I found the food / buffet could have been better, there are not enough lifts, and the parking costs €16 a day! I don't consider this a true 5* experience, but I would consider staying again.

The staff there are nice and approachable. The renovation of the hotel at some parts is still ongoing. The buffet, is really really good, I really liked the desserts. They have a playground for kids but it’s all the way to the tennis court. And the hotel is too big that you might get lost. They have different events at night, play areas and activity space for the kids. Outside the hotel you can shop and eat at restaurants, there’s a near Starbucks also. It’s a good experience but one thing I didn’t like is the wifi gets slow sometimes. But having a data shouldn’t be a problem when you travel.

Just wow. The whole resort is exceptionally thought through, everything works like a clockwork. If you want to have a big hotel-complex experience (in a good way), just do it. We loved it.Also a very cool detail - you get an armband with a chip instead of a card which you use throughout the stay as a room card and to pay in different parts of the hotel. Very practical.

This hotel and its facilities are absolutely amazing. We visited here in Feb 2022 while the outside temperature was around 20C, the outdoors pools were heated to a perfect temperature for these weather conditions. The staff is very friendly and the food is also excellent.Even being trapped in the elevator for 30 mins on our last day doesn’t make me want to deduct a star from this 5 star review. 👌🏻

Ambiance, staff and accommodation were superb. This is a very minor observation but the Bingo at lunchtime in the Laguna Bar used to be such fun and generated a lot of interest - children and adults alike. However, it's now delivered in a very boring way that doesn't encourage people to come. Bring back the leisure staff who encouraged participation and enjoyment.

Stunning modern resort, The reception and bar area is beautiful. The pool area is beautiful with views over the sea. Set in a great location right next to the sea front and near the bars and restaurants. The entertainment isn’t that great within the hotel, Also like its sister hotel this hotel doesn't offer any throws to keep you warm in the cold nights while watching the entertainment. Would be a 5 star if the had heaters outside or throws.

My mother and I stayed here for Christmas week and we honestly could not fault it. Everything was PERFECT! The staff are all so polite and followed all COVID restrictions, always wearing masks and keeping all areas clean and tidy. The breakfast buffet has a great selection, the pools are all beautiful and clean. There are so many choices for eating and drinking. The spa was great too - massages and facials - gorgeous! Little chocolate treats left in our room every day. Hotel reception smells delicious too!

We had a nice spa day here with a lovely three-course meal at the Italian restaurant, followed by a delectable massage, and ending with time at the spa pools. Only gripe i had was that they didn't give us much info about where things were (showers and changing rooms, description of where the spa pools were etc)... Which made the experience a tiny bit more stressful than necessary.

Lovely hotel. It's very big and they are still renovation some parts of the resort. They start around 7 o clock so you wake up early.. The pools and services is amazing. You have different kind of pools and laying areas. All the sunbeds have a beach umbrella. Someareas are with sand and some are with fake grass or stone. Drinks are with the big labels like coca cola or Johnny walker black label (if you like a wiskey cola) same is for cocktails. Everything is fresh made! The breakfast is very lovely and fresh. You have for example 6 different egg dishes. The resort bracelet on your arm has a small chip. You can pay and open your room with it. Makes live a little bit easier. Every night there is live entertainment by live music or a little show! I really enjoyed the staying and a b&b is well worth the money in my opinion. I would love to go back one day when the are totally finished with everything

We arrived on the first day after the 18 month renovation. We checked in on the grand reopening day. And wow.. It was already our favourite Hotel. But it even got better. Great job Lopesan. The buffet restaurant was fabulous. The way the eating room inside and outside was rebuilt, really great, modern, clean, inviting. The food selection was just perfect. The staff as friendly as always. The Sitting area in the lobby and outside by the fountains has new furniture. The garden, arranged with lots of expertise and love. We had a fantastic time, thank you Lopesan. We will be back.

Great service, amazing breakfasts in Buffet Atlantic, very nice personal. It’s better to come early in the morning and sit outside to enjoy it!

The best hotel we have been to. Room was spacious and beautifully furnished, the food was excellent so many things to choose from and all delicious. The facilities were lovely, plenty of room for everyone to sit, outside was very comfortable with lots of room and beautiful outlook over pool. The entertainment was excellent especially the groups.Staff were very helpful and friendly nothing was to much trouble. The whole grounds of the hotel were like a tropical island you could have stayed there all the time and never gone outside the hotel and beautifully tended. We will certainly be back.
