<\/div>It was our first stay at this hotel and it was just perfect. The hotel is located at the edge of the dunes and a 5 minute walk to bars and restaurants. We had a garden terrace room on the ground floor. The room was large, modern and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was also large and fully equipped with a robe, slippers and toiletries. The room had a separate lounge area with large tv showing the main UK channels, plus coffee and tea making facilities, fridge and a safe. The pool area was spacious with plenty of available sunbeds and complimentary pool towels. The breakfast covered all tastes with plenty of fresh produce. We used the bar most nights. It was quite a small area and the seats were often occupied. The outside bar was not open in the winter. The pricing was reasonable for a hotel bar. The hotel itself was just perfect, however the staff, whether they be housekeeping, restaurant, bar or reception staff were excellent. The only small issue we encountered was a hit and miss wifi signal. We will definitely be returning.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

Also - on the last day my husband got unwell and the lady from the reception saved the day by making accommodations to make our last day so much better (don\u2019t know her name - but she had a short hair and a blue lipstick:) ). <\/div>I had an enjoyable week at this hotel with a room on the fifth floor overlooking the sea and dunes pool is very nice and never too busy. I enjoyed being able to take a walk to the dunes from the hotel and do a loop of approximately 70 minutes around the coast and back to the hotelThe room was a fifth floor suite, stunning views of the dunes and ocean, I left my balcony door open at night to hear the sea. I also had a nightly visit from a kestrel which was lovely. The sofa was almost more comfortable than the bed. Wifi was poor through the hotel and needs to be improved, also no smart tv in room was disappointing. I stayed the week before in the grand hotel residencia which is nearby and it had perfect WiFi so it cannot be a location issueThe Manager called Juli who was very efficient and friendly and ran the restaurant and bar expertlyThe cleaning lady, Luisa, was the nicest person I met on my stay, smiling and friendly despite having no English. She used her phone to translate with me when I had a query. Very pleasanti don\u2019t see the point in having a sign at the entrance to the restaurant asking people to dress appropriately when this is not monitored, there were people eating dinner in the restaurant in shorts and trainers, absolutely no monitoring clothes in the restaurant and this definitely diminished the restaurant for me.In summary a very nice hotel based on location and quality of room, some improvement with WiFi needed<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>Greatest location for weekends with couple, not so good with kids, typical food and service for a big hotel. Nice on the picture but devil in the details. Great stuff at bar and dining area. Not so pleasant experience at reception but it\u2019s ok. Room also fine but there is a lot of uncomfortable points like bed consists from two and on wheels, forget to rest in the middle it\u2019s impossible, no coffee, empty minibar, light at the night going through the curtains\u2026 Overall Value for money 5\/10.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>One of the best hotels i have been in my life.Breakfast is very tasty and various, make sure to try the fresh tortilla with cheese and ham and tomato and cheese.Gym is clean and easy to use equipment which is clean and well maintained.Bathrooms are cleaned every 3h. It's spotless clean.Wellness facilities like the massage place is so well designed and nice and the lady who works there is incredible. One of the best memories from this hotel is her massage on my day of departure.Snack bar during lunchtime actually has tasty options and salads as well as pizzas, wraps, burgers, desserts.During the evenings, the chill bar on the terrace always has some entertainment for everyone, and drinks go up to 23h. Its so romantic, well decorated with ambient lighting.The staff is super polite. All of them at all functions.If you need to put your luggage in storage, they do it for you.The hotel has elevator near the pickup spot on the street so when you arrive or depart you can take your suitcases in it without dragging them on the stairs.The location cannot be better. We got nice suite with ocean and dune view on the 3 floor. I couldn't be more happier. Especially because i was close to the gym.The pool area is spotless clean and well maintained every day.Towels are limited to 1 per person and you can exchange them daily in the opening hours of the pool area.There wasn't anything i didnt like. <\/div>The hotel is literally and figuratively an oasis in the tourist bustle of Playa des Ingles. The hotel is well maintained, the rooms have beautiful views over the dunes and sea, they are very comfortable and pleasantly furnished. The rooms are well cleaned and refreshed every day. The towel service by the pool is superfine. The restaurant is very varied in terms of dishes, fresh fish and meat and a different theme every day (Mexican, Spanish, grill). The restaurant staff are welcoming, attentive and helpful.The ladies behind the reception desk are very warm, approachable and helpful, exactly how the hotel industry should be. There was one gentleman I felt uncomfortable with and found it hard to interact with, got the feeling that what I asked him was too much for him.🙏 I have a few small things to improve:- If you don't want to be bothered by live music in the evening, make sure you get a room, situated in the back of the hotel.- Be sure the non-smoking rooms are actually non-smoking, sometimes there is a smoky smell in the room.- What I only miss are flowers and plants around the hotel.In short, wonderful hotel where you can find the serenity and relaxation you are looking for during a holiday.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>Had a really enjoyable stay in the Santa Monica Suites for a few nights in February. The hotel itself is light and airy and not overwhelming in size. Breakfast is lovely and has a great selection. There is a good sized pool; and a sauna with a spectacular view, which must be booked but means you have it to yourself.The location on the dunes is very beautiful, (with a gate giving access straight on) and only a 5-6 minute stroll taking you to Playa de Ingles and really easy access to the beach, shops, bars, and restaurants. The hotel is also convenient for public transport, the Cita Shopping Centre, and nearby restaurants.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>Lovely high quality hotel.It has direct access to the the beach (a short walk across the dunes) and has outdoor foot wash & showers for washing away the sand when you get back.We had a sea view room and it had an unobstructed beautiful view over the dunes\/beach\/sea. It was lovely to sit on the balcony and relax.The room was spacious, fresh and absolutely spotless. The staff were very thorough with cleaning every day. The bed was comfortable and we were very satisfied with the quality of the hotel.My wife & I stayed for week. We opted for only the breakfast included (all inclusive is an option, but we prefer to dine out and visit different restaurants). So I can't comment on the dinner meals, but the breakfast buffet was excellent. Fresh food, fresh fruit, fresh orange juice, a huge selection of hot & cold dishes, as well as a made to order omelette station.The hotel has a large adult pool and a separate baby\/children's pool. Fresh towels were available from the hotel every day and there was an abundance of sun beds available around the pool area. The toilet facilities in the pool area were fresh, clean and of high quality.The hotel staff were friendly, helpful and had great English. They made our stay very enjoyable.Highly recommended and we would definitely be interested to return again.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>I came here now 4 times and the location is perfect (one of the closest hotels to the beach which is not common in GC). Staff is very friendly and the rooms are good and quite luxury. The beds are two beds which are connected, prefer a double bed with one matress to be honest. Gym is small but effective.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>BEST HOTEL EVER!!This hotel was exemplary. The service was incredible and there was a lovely selection at breakfast. The pool is much bigger than the photos make it seem and there was plenty of sun beds to go around. When booking the hotel I mentioned myself and my fianc\u00e9 had just got engaged, the put balloons in the bedroom as well as a banner, they also brought us champagne and chocolate covered strawberries - it was so thoughtful. The hotel is also a perfect location to the dunes and I find the beach to be the best one in Gran Canaria! The hotel is near lots of shops and getting the bus to explore is easy as it\u2019s 5 mins walk from the hotel. The rooms are also kept very clean and the general hotel is lovely. The staff are also amazing!! I cannot recommend this hotel enough.There are only a few minor issues- wifi isn\u2019t too great and I had to use my data most of the time - however being right on the dunes I didn\u2019t expect the best wifi!- the beds are two single beds pushed together. This didn\u2019t bother us but it\u2019s worth noting.- the majority of people staying here are German so all tv channels are in German. <\/div>Amazing location overlooking the sand dunes and a really close walk to restaurants and little shops to get the essentials.Staff were excellent, very friendly and approachable. Breakfast buffet was delicious and never left us feeling hungry.The pool area was very peaceful with plenty of sunbeds to spare with large umbrellas so always enough room for shade for 2 people.The beach was a 1 minute walk away and was the best beach on the island.Bar food and drinks were exceptional and service was very quick and easy.Only small issue was the WiFi would cut out sometimes but was sufficient for a couple weeks stay.They had live music in the evening all nights except Sunday. You could hear it on the balcony which was nice but as soon as you went back in your room you could not hear it which was perfect.Was very close to a bus stop which you can easily travel around the whole island.Would highly recommend the hotel.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

The rooms are spacious. & clean & great views to the pool & Dunes . The pool is fantastic and relaxing . The food in the restaurant is great with good prices and excellent service for lunch . The evening buffet varies with themed meals.The plus is the direct access to the Dunes & the views .Not ideal for kids above 5 years as area is not suitable for them to go . First because no facilities for them to play ( only a small kids area under 4) . The area around is not ideal for them as more oriented to couples & gay community. Big disappointment in Ala carte restaurant was the Stone-cooked beef entrec\u00f4te, that was one of the worst steaks we have ever eaten and we love steak. Both, my wife and daughter had it and comments were same. I rearely complain about the food, but this time had to do it and waiter took it professionally but unfortinately the mood was spoiled for us. To finnish this review have add that room was great with a comphy bed, pillows and with the working cleaning service. There were two issues mainly 1) the food, was really really bad, we had half board and the quality was just so poor. Undercooked, over cooked, poor quality, weird taste\u2026 it\u2019s was bad from start to finish. <\/div>We stayed at Santa Monica Suites, our second visit, from June 1st to 15th 2022.The hotel is truly excellent. Everything is very well designed, of high quality, comfortable and spotless. The location is also excellent. We found no faults!We arrived very late (around midnight). Reception staff were quick and efficient, and we were soon eating our pre-ordered cold meal. Our requests were dealt with very well by the reception team throughout.This time we opted for both breakfast and dinner buffet \u2013 a very good decision, meaning that we did not have to rush off to find somewhere to eat at the end of the day. The food was excellent in quality, with many and varied choices available. There was a good selection of reasonably-priced wines. The serving and waiting staff were unfailingly pleasant, attentive and helpful. Vegetarian options were freely available in the dinner buffet during the week, which is not our usual experience in Spain. On our first Saturday, the selection of cheeses was completely replaced by fish, leaving no vegetarian protein available apart from in banana fritters, although there was plenty of salad. In our second week, therefore, one of us made an advance choice from the vegan menu which had been provided on arrival (zucchini stuffed with tofu and mushrooms) for the Saturday \u2013 an excellent choice. The staff on that Sunday also anticipated, offered, and rustled up a vegan wrap without any need for booking in advance, which was very much appreciated.Restaurant management could perhaps consider using clearer vegetarian labelling \u2013 sometimes the item description left this in doubt. Also there could perhaps be better compartmentalisation \u2013 if vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods are presented next to each other in a buffet, then cross-contamination will occur.We used and enjoyed the pool area several times. Although the hotel was rather busy during our stay, there were always plenty of recliners and sunshades available. We took advantage of the pool bar a few times, generally when we returned to the hotel after a day\u2019s hike. Service was always quick and courteous.We used the wellness centre too, and both of us thoroughly recommend Suzy\u2019s pedicure.All-in-all this was an excellent holiday for us. It was pleasing to see that some small improvements had been made since our previous visit, particularly moving the smokers away from immediately outside the restaurant to the opposite side of the pool. Attention had also been paid to slippery areas around the pool. Clearly the management is responsive to feedback \u2013 and it shows!Thank you.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>Very generous breakfast buffet. If you want a nice view on the ocean and the dunes make sure you ask for any room that\u2019s on the third floor or above. The rooms are very nicely decorated the couch is very comfortable all rooms are in Suite style so you will find more than enough space to be comfortable. However I think that the construction and architecture of the hotel is left to be desired because if you are looking to sleep quietly in the morning after 9 AM, it will be very difficult. The cleaning staff makes a lot of noise and there is no noise cancellation\/ isolation which can cause a Cacophony if all adjacent guests wake up at the same time. I might return to this hotel only if I bring earplugs.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

The buffet breakfast has a lot of choice and food in general is good. The rooms are big and very comfortable, the highlight being the shower. <\/div>Maspalomas shows, in many respects , the worst mass- tourism has to offer. It lacks class and style has no authentism or atmosphere. But if you end up here The Santa M\u00f3nica Suites Hotel is absolutely not a bad place to stay. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is friendly, the pool and breakfast buffet are great.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>Location directly at the beach, but still 15 minutes to go to the beach. Rooms and Hotel very clean, staff is very friendly. The restaurant is the only negative point on the list, the quality of the food is o.k. not a highlight, but good. My real concern is the restaurant, it is too small and feels more like a fast food restaurant with very small tables. Not a place where I want to have a nice relaxing dinner or breakfast. But as said this is the only negative point and I wish they would change this, everything else is really nice and the Hotel earns a honest recommendation<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>Hotel for smokers only. Or for people who like to breath with cigarette smoke. The hotel is situated in some sort of small valley between dunes and the city. It favors smoke to cumullate inside. In result when you are sitting on your terrace or balcony you are breathing cigarette smoke starting from 10 AM ending late at night. This is the worst situation where I ever been when it comes to smoking.Apart from that:- meals are OK- hotel staff is friendly and helpful- rooms are spacy and looking good<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>The hotel has magnificent location, a good pool area and a dedicated restaurant. We stayed at the top floor and the views to the Maspalomas Dunes were outstanding, but the ground floor and maybe the first one have no views at all (only pool view). The amenities were not impressive, but maybe that's because of Covid situation. Only water glasses in the room, but the staff is really kind and you only have to ask, they bring all the necessary (we had several bottles of champagne and they promptly served us with glasses and icebuckets). There is also a chill out area where from time to time (weekends?) they invite a great violin singer, a voice singer etc. One problem we had with the phone in room was quickly solved. There was also a shortage in staff but again, it's probably due to Covid.The breakfast buffet is diverse and good quality. For the dinner they have special menus as Spanish\/Iberian, Asian, barbecue... the food is good, some of the sweets I found them a bit too sweet (could be a matter of taste).<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>We loved this hotel and just felt like we were at home! The view is beautiful. Everything is very clean. There is desinfection which you can use before going to the buffet. There is food in many different tastes so that everybody will find something! Every evening they do live cooking. The food is arranged like little pieces of arts and unbelievably tasty! The staff is very welcoming and frendly. The pool area is clean and very nice as you can find shady places under palmtrees or the umbrellas. The moment you walk out of the back door and stand in the middle of the dunes- amazing! There is a SPAR market for little things 5 walking minutes away. The only problem was that the smoke detector above the bed made a noise. You might bring oropax if this is annoying you. I would totally recommend this hotel!<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>The location of the hotel is splendid, just right on the dunes, worth paying the extra charge for the sea view, so magical watching the sunrise over the sea and the dunes. Rooms are modern and feel very clean and comfy. The staff is very friendly, helpful and smiling. Breakfast has a wide variety of products and everything is tasty. We enjoyed morning Thai chi and yoga practices, done in a professional way. The evening animation wasn\u2019t too loud, just pleasant. Overall it felt nice and quiet. The water in the large pool could be warmer for this time of the year we found it impossible to go in. Small things we found I\u2019d say even ridiculous for this standard of a hotel: charging extra for a kettle, no coffee machine in the room, no cups of whatsoever. When we \u201crented\u201d the kettle the cleaners kept taking the cups away every time. These kind of things should be obvious for this price and standard. Ps. We loved the fluffy cat living in the hall 💚<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

A set of pools if you prefer fresh water over the ocean.A buffet restaurant for breakfast and dinner, as well as a al a carte restaurant if you rather have someone else assemble your meal.It has all the amenities you could wish for, not least a wellness centre for massages of other beauty treatments, a gym and a sauna.The rooms are spacious, with comfortable beds and stunning views. Aircon for those who arent quite adjusted to the higher island temperatures. Santa Monica Suites' staff seems to endeavor to make your stay as relaxing and forfilling as they can make it.
